Abstract

One of the goals of SMA/MA is scored educated generation to go to college. In fact many SMA/MA graduates is not able to go to college, so the potential to become unemployed. Efforts to prepare SMA/MA graduates to be ready to compete in the world of work is needed. One effort that needs to be done is to implement CEP learning module. This study aims to determine the contribution of learning Acid Alkali using CEP module on life skills, motivation to learn, and learning outcomes of students. This research was conducted in MAN Rembang and MA Muallimin Muallimat Rembang (M3R). This study used a pretest and post test control group design. The research data obtained by observation, documentation, questionnaire, and test. Results showed that tcount life skills, learning motivation, and cognitive results were <ttable -1.99. Tcount life skills in communication aspect was-2.06, cooperation (-3.06), skills in using tools was -2.34, work discipline was -2.54, and work attitude -2.35 , Tcount learning motivation was -2.97, and the cognitive result was -7.31. This study showed that learning with CEP-based Chemistry module can improve life skills, learning motivation, and cognitive result of students.

Abstract

The research was designed as the method of R&D  with the 4D  model,  define,  design, develop and disseminate. The purpose of this research is to develop a diagnostic test instrument two-tier with CBT to diagnose students' understanding profile. The test instrument can be used for the analysis and understanding of the concept Redox with the interpretation of the combination of the students' answers with the class understand the concepts, misconceptions, guessing, do not understand, and do not understand. The results of the feasibility test instrument indicate that the content validity of the category feasible with reliability 0.79. Profile of understanding the concept of students showed which scientific knowledge of which 9 out of 35 students (26.86%), positive misconception that 2 out of 35 students (4.14%), negative misconceptions is one of 35 students (2.43%), the misconception is one of 35 students (1.86%), lucky guess that is one of 35 students (3.71%), lack of knowledge that 12 of 35 students (34.86%), and did not know that 9 out of 35 students (26.14%) the concept of Redox.

Abstract

The development of communication and information technology has become an opportunity in the development of learning. Conventional learning is no longer effective in improving student learning outcomes. So it is important to apply technology integration as a medium and resources in a blended learning system. This study aims to measure how effective the application of blended learning in improving the learning outcomes in hydrocarbon compound. Using quantitative methods, this research is experimental research. The research object was divided into control class and experimental class, data mining was carried out with test and questionnaire. The analysis technique uses N-Gain Score and One-sample T-Test with counting technique assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics 22. The results showed that the application of blended learning to increase students' conceptual understanding in the category of "quite effective" with an increase in the percentage of concept understanding scores in the experimental class by 57.80% was far higher than the increase in the control class by 15.51%. Increasing the character development of students through blended learning is high. The lowest value (lower) is 3.6095 while the highest value (upper) is 3.6858 with an average value of 3.64 can be categorized as high.

Abstract

Theory of Multiple Intelligences in education world is less so concerned. Some chemistry teachers who teach high school students in Semarang City are not aware to this theory due to lack of references. This research aims to know the level of Multiple Intelligences of high school students in Semarang City in chemistry studies according to the indicators as described by Howard Gardner. Those indicators are intelligences of verbal-linguistic, logical-mathematical, visual-spatial, physical-kinesthetic, musical-rhytmic, intrapersonal, interpersonal, and naturalist. This research is conducted in three schools which takes fifty students of XI IPA from each school using random and simple in retrieving the data. That data is collected using questionnaires which are shared to students to know the level of Mutiple Intelligences. The research data is analyzed descriptive-quantitatively, that quantitative data is only used as means of categorizing the level of students’ intelligences. The result of this study is obtained various data on each indicator. The result of quantitatively data analysis shows that naturalist intelligence is obtained at the highest percentage of 71.10%, while verbal-linguistic intelligence is obtained at the lowest percentage of 62.23%. The result of this research can be used as a reference and consideration of high school teachers in formulating a lesson plan that will be applied in chemistry learning. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the level of students’ Multiple Intelligence in chemistry learning is averagely categorized as “hight level”.

Abstract

Following education in the 21st century, students must to having a lot of skills one of them is creativity. Fresh graduates of vocational high school required to have high creativity. Low students creativity being a problem that must be faced by the teacher. This study aims to find the effect of the problem-based chemistry module with the help of Quartchem cards on student learning outcomes and student achievement in chemistry learning on the subject of chemical bonding. Grade X motorcycle engineering which consist of three class used for population of this research. The sampling technique was carried out by cluster random sampling with class X TSM 3 as the experimental class and class X TSM 2 as the control class. Data collection was carried out by three methods, there are documentation method, test method, and observasion sheets method. The test method is used to measure students 'cognitive learning outcomes using the pre-test and post-test question instruments, while the observation sheet method is used to measure students' creativity using the student's creative product observation sheet. The test method is used to measure students 'cognitive learning outcomes using the pre-test and post-test question instruments, while the observation sheet method is used to measure students' creativity using the student's creative product observation sheet. The results showed that the experimental class learning outcomes average was 86.20 and the control class was 81.96 while the average creativity of the experimental class was 84.379 and the control class was 72.3. The results of data analysis with the t-test of the right side for student learning outcomes obtained tcount 2.212 and for creativity obtained tcount 11.94 with t table 1.67 shows that there is an effect of problem-based chemistry modules assisted by Quartchem cards on student learning outcomes and creativity.
