Abstract

This research aims to test the use of group counseling with Solution Focused Career strategy to improve career decision making of students of SMP Negeri 50 Surabaya. The research design used was an experiment involving as many as 8 students of SMP Negeri 50 Surabaya who were selected by porposive random sampling. The instrument used is CDDQ (Career Decisionmaking Dificult Quetionare).The results showed that solution focused career counseling is enhancement for improving the career decision making of learners. This study provides a clarification on the application of handling career decision making with Solution Focused Career Counseling. During the Covid-19 pandemic, research was carried out in two ways, namely online and offline research. The results of the study showed an increase from the lowest pre-test results of 32 and the highest post-test results of 78 with an average of 4.50.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the process of counseling services on improving self-compassion of students in Surabaya Private Junior High Schools who have problems with addictive behaviors using sophisticated technology especially the social media section. The research methodology uses a descriptive qualitative method by collaborating with library research with an open questionnaire process and interviews with junior high school students who often use social media and addictive behavior on social media. The results of the study indicate that efforts to increase student self-compassion are able to show reduction and decrease the social media addictive behavior of students. Because in the counseling process increasing self-compassion requires a long process and factors that influence the addictive behavior of social media users. As well as looking at student activities from school and the environment so as not to influence about negative actions.

Abstract

Title of Community Service: Mental Health Education to Develop Interest in Sports in the “Young and Young Work” Community Group, Kedungsari Village, Kemlagi District, Mojokerto Regency. Determining the level of psychological well-being of a youth can be seen through how they express themselves when participating in sports activities organized by the “Muda Mudi Berkarya” community group. This is evidenced by the fact that almost all young people are less enthusiastic when carrying out sports activities organized by the “Muda Mudi Berkarya” community group. Therefore, it is important to look at the relationship between youth interest in sports and psychological well-being. Psychological well-being can increase the interest of young people assisted by the Young Mudi Berkarya community group in the field of sports.

Abstract

The ability of self-regulated learning and independent learning is needed for humans throughout their lives. However, the students of SMP Sunan Ampel Porong do not yet have optimal learning independence. This study aims to improve self-regulated learning abilities and increase the learning independence of Sunan Ampel Porong Junior High School students in online learning situations during the COVID-19 pandemic, through the application of self-regulated learning techniques. This research uses experimental research, the method used is quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent control group design. The results of this study are (1) The level of effectiveness of self-regulated learning techniques to improve the ability of self-regulated learning and learning independence of students is in the high category. The use of self-regulated learning techniques is quite effective in increasing self-regulated learning abilities and independent learning, (2) the level of students' self-regulated learning abilities increases significantly after being guided through self-regulated learning techniques which are in the high category. There was a significant increase in the results of the self-regulated learning ability of students in the experimental group or those given self-regulated learning techniques, and (3) the level of learning independence of students increased significantly after being guided through self-regulated learning techniques was in the high category. There was a significant increase in the learning independence result scores of students in the experimental group or those given self-regulated learning techniques. Kemampuan self regulated learning dan kemandirian belajar diperlukan bagi manusia sepanjang hidupnya. Namun, peserta didik SMP Sunan Ampel Porong belum memiliki kemandirian belajar optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan self regulated learning dan meningkatkan kemandirian belajar peserta didik SMP Sunan Ampel Porong dalam situasi pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi covid-19, melalui penerapan Teknik self regulated learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen, metode yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) Tingkat keefektifan teknik self-regulated learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan self-regulated learning dan kemandirian belajar peserta didik berada pada kategori tinggi. Penggunaan teknik self regulated learning cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan self regulated learning dan kemandirian belajar, (2) tingkat kemampuan self-regulated learning peserta didik meningkat secara signifikan setelah dibimbing melalui teknik self-regulated learning berada pada kategori tinggi. Terdapat peningkatan secara signifikan pada skor hasil kemampuan self regulated learning peserta didik kelompok eksperimen atau yang diberikan teknik self regulated learning, dan (3) tingkat kemandirian belajar peserta didik meningkat secara signifikan setelah dibimbing melalui teknik self-regulated learning berada pada kategori tinggi. Terdapat peningkatan secara signifikan pada skor hasil kemandirian belajar peserta didik kelompok eksperimen atau yang diberikan teknik self regulated learning.

Abstract

Perubahan model pembelajaran siswa selama pandemi menjadi belajar dari rumah secara online, mengakibatkan bertambahnya peran dan tanggungjawab orang tua di rumah selain mengerjakan pekerjaan kantor dan pekerjaan domestik. Bertambahnya peran dan fungsi orang tua ini perlu diimbangi dengan kemampuan pengelolaan emosi yang baik agar orang tua terhindar dari stress tinggi dan mampu mendampingi anaknya secara maksimal. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest untuk melihat keefektifan penggunaan panduan model pengelolaan emosi pada orang tua bekerja. Data dianalisis dengan cara uji one sample t-test dimana didapatkan hasil nilai signifikansi 0,000 kurang dari α 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan panduan model pengelolaan emosi untuk orang tua bekerja efektif untuk mengelola emosi. Kata Kunci: Pengelolaan, Emosi, Orang Tua.

Abstract

The impact of developments on game technology makes players now able to play online games (online games). The ease of accessing online games and the attractive appearance and model of the game make online games widely played by teenagers to cause addiction. Teenagers at the age of junior high school can play games up to 7 hours a day. With so many junior high school students addicted to games, assistant teachers or junior high school counselors need to be able to develop and use non-test instruments, especially non-game addiction test instruments to address this situation. The training activities are held to provide skills for junior high school counselors or counselors to develop game addiction instruments. The training is carried out for two months by providing intensive and scheduled material and practice. The results of this training are junior high school counselors or counselors who are able to develop their own game addiction instruments and use them to improve guidance and counseling services in schools.

Abstract

Ki Ageng Suryomentaram menyusun ajaran kawruh jiwa tidak berdasarkan teori-teori yang abstrak, tetapi lebih mengedepankan hal-hal yang konkret. Menyentuh aspek interaksi kehidupan manusia dan sifatnya yang intersubjektif dan intrasubjektif serta pengujiannya didasarkan pada penghargaan rasanya. Dari kegiatan ini kemudian dibentuk suatu pendidikan sebagai gerakan moral yang bertujuan utuk menumbuhkan semangat kebangsaan dan kejiwaan para pemuda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian analisis isi (content analysis). Dalam memberikan wejangannya, Ki Ageng menganalisis sifat- sifat buruknya sendiri, namun dengan cara tersebut Ki Ageng berhasil menyadarkan orang lain tentang kebaikan dan keburukan, tanpa menyebabkan orang lain merasa malu dianalisis. Dalam buku Uran Uran Begja terdapat kandungan nilai-nilai mengenai ajaran kawruh jiwa yang disampaikan dalam bentuk tembang-tembang. Berdasarkan analisis nilai kandungan yang terdapat pada ajaran kawruh jiwa ditemukan dua nilai yakni nilai ketekunan dan keberanian dalam mempelajari ajaran kawruh jiwa.

Abstract

Critical thinking is an intellectual process that involves the discovery, analysis, and evaluation of information obtained from observation and experience. This process is used to consider various options before making decisions or taking actions. By engaging in critical thinking, individuals thoroughly examine available information to ensure that the decisions made are the most appropriate and well-founded. Through these steps, the ability to analyze situations comprehensively and objectively can be enhanced, resulting in more planned and effective actions. This research aims to train the critical thinking skills of 11th-grade students using classical guidance services with the Cooperative Learning Technique of Snowball Throwing. This study is guidance counseling action research (PTBK), with data collection using a Likert scale and data analysis using the T-test. The results of the study indicate that classical guidance with the Cooperative Learning Technique of Snowball Throwing is capable of training the critical thinking skills of 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 4 Jember.

Abstract

Adolescence can be considered the peak of emotionality. Many teenagers are unable to understand and manage emotions well. Based on the results of AKPD Class XI 5 at SMA Negeri 4 Jember shows that the highest problem in the personal field is not being able to understand and manage emotions properly. So this study aims to improve emotional intelligence through classical guidance using role playing techniques. The subjects of this study were grade XI 5 students of SMA Negeri 4 Jember with a total of 36 students. The type of research used is classroom action research, guidance and counseling or can be called (PTBK).The research method uses quantitative methods. Data collection in this study used a Likert scale which was then analyzed using the SPSS application version 29.00 using the paired sample test formula. The results of this study show that the value in the one-sided table is 0.001. While the value in the two-sided table is 0.001 where the sig value is <0.05, which means there is a significant difference from the pre-test and post-test results. So it can be concluded that classical guidance with role playing techniques can improve the emotional intelligence of students in grade XI 5 SMA Negeri 4 Jember.
