Abstract

This study aims at: (1) Acquiring principal leadership pattern executed in MA Gani Tirtoasri Tirtomoyo Wonogiri in the 2014/2015 academic year. (2) Obtaining the efforts being made to improve the performance of teachers in MA Gani Tirtoasri Tirtomoyo Wonogiri in the 2014/2015 academic year. (3) Obtaining the constraints experienced during the principal leadership in the 2014/2015 academic year. (4) Obtaining the results that have been achieved over the principal leadership in the 2014/2015 academic year. This study was conducted in MA GaniTirtoasri Tirtomoyo, MA Gani Tirtoasri have a good school achievement in academic and non-academic. MA Gani Tirtoasri is the oldest Madrasah established in the district of Wonogiri that becomethe establishment embryo of another madrasah. Type of this research is descriptive qualitative research, the research seeks to tell that there is now based on the data, this study also presents the data, analyze, and interpret. The informants are Principals, Madrasah Committee, vice principal of curriculum division, Vice Principals of Infrastructure Division, vice principal of students affairs, Parents, and Students. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. In examining the validity of the data or check the veracity of the data used by extending the duration of the study, the continuous observation, triangulation, either triangulation of data sources and the triangulation of data collection techniques. Data analysis was performed three stages include: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion / verification. The study concluded that: (1) Principal leadership patternapplied in MA Gani Tirtoasri lead to a democratic leadership pattern. (2) Principals has made various efforts to improve teacher performance MA Gani Tirtoasri includes: (a) curriculum development: (b) the development of teaching and learning; (c) human resource development; (d) the development of curricular and extracurricular; (e) the development of links with education stakeholders. (3) The problem faced Principals in the lead MA Gani Tirtoasri in the 2014/2015 academic yearthe main is difficult to change the mindset of teachers becomes a teacher who constantly want to develop in accordance with the demands of the times. Abstract

This study aims to produce an E-learning design that will be used in basic programming learning in the Vocational High School Multimedia Skills Program. E-Learning is a learning technology that is bridged by internet technology in which there are media to display material, questions and discussion forums. E-Learning strongly supports the basic programming learning process, because basic programming is learning that requires every student to memorize or understand algorithms and programming languages that aim to be able to make a computer program. Students are required to learn repeatedly so that basic programming materials are not easily forgotten. With E-Learning, students can learn wherever and whenever they are so that the process of learning basic programming can be done anywhere and anytime repeatedly without having to face-to-face with the instructor. But not all E-Learning is able to meet the needs of every learning process of every education provider, because in general between one educational provider with another has different learning strategies and standards. Therefore, before developing E-Learning, it first requires the process of analysis, planning, and design in order to arrange the right framework according to needs.

Abstract

Citizenship is a lesson got from the elementary school to college level of education. It emphasizes on nation character building in order to be a well citizen which is putting his/ her right and obligation along with the constitution and law. Citizenship education is applied at all levels of education by means of developing knowledge obtained previously in order to be active at the instructional process for further level of education. In order to reach the goal as mentioned above, it is needed a teacher who knows in how to teach well by appltying convenient method towards its level and students’ capability. Facilities also play very important role to support the on going curriculum. It is necessary for the teacher to make a lesson plan before teaching the class. By doing so, the instructional process will run well and he. She will be able to develop their creativity as well with the students. They must have passion and motivation to to learn as the teachers will feel proud to give better for them. The topic of protection and human rights watch is one of the topics of citizenship lesson learnt in Junior High School Grade VII on the second semester in SMP Negeri 3 Surakarta.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to improve of the learning motivation in civics education subject matter of the students in grade IV of primary school 5 of Bae, Kudus regency in academic year 2014/2015; and (2) to improve the learning achievement in civics education subject matter of the students in grade iv of primary school 5 of Bae, Kudus regency in academic year 2014/2015. This research used the classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. The subjects of research were the students in grade IV of the school. The data of research were collected through observation, documentation, in-depth interview, and test of learning achievement. They were analyzed by using the descriptive model o analysis. The results of research are as follows: 1) The STAD learning model can improve the learning motivation in Civics Education subject matter of the students in Grade IV of Primary School 5 of Bae, Kudus Regency in Academic Year 2014/2015. It trains the students to deliver their opinions and to have cooperation or teamwork in their own team. Prior to the treatment (Pre-cycle), their learning motivation was 53.99%. After the treatment, it became 65.22% in cycle I and 82.61% in cycle II respectively. 2) The STAD learning model can also improve the learning achievement in Civics Education subject matter of the students in Grade IV of Primary School 5 of Bae, Kudus Regency in Academic Year 2014/2015. Prior to the treatment, the percentage of the students’ learning completeness was 26.09%. After the treatment, it became 56.52% in Cycle I and95.65% in Cycle II respectively.

Abstract

The learning process cannot be separated from the use of teaching materials that play a role to achieve the competencies that must be achieved by the learners. The purpose of this research is to identify the developmental stages of Predict Observe Explain (POE)-based thematic teaching materials, quality, and effectiveness of teaching materials to improve the learners' learning outcomes. This is a research and development technique. The development of this product is done through the design model of ADDIE learning system, i.e. (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, (5) and evaluation. The results show that the POE-based thematic teaching materials has excellent quality on aspects of graphics and material with the score 4,52 and score 4,75 respectively from the aspects of readability, linguistic, and presentation according to the learners as the users of the product. Furthermore, the effectiveness test results show that the average class score that does not use POE-based thematic materials is 75,72, whereas that using POE thematic materials is 82,08. Therefore, the average score in the experimental class is higher than the control one. The Sig. shows 0,010 0,05, then H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. It is concluded that there is a significant value difference between the control and experimental class.

Abstract

ONLINE COUNSELING FOR STUDENTS OF UNIVERSITAS SEBELAS MARET, SURAKARTA, INDONESIA. The industrial revolution 4.0 resulted in disruptive changes that affected human life. Likewise, the students of Sebelas Maret University (UNS) in fulfilling their academic, personal, social, and career development assignments, also often demanded independence in this disruption era. As the third rank university in Indonesia, according to UniRank 4ICU rating agency, UNS needs to respond to this in order to be able to facilitate the task of developing students from the psychological side. Facilitation that can be done is by providing online counseling services for students. This study aims to describe the level of UNS student needs as initial data in compiling online counseling services. The subjects of this study were 544 students from ten faculties in the UNS that were randomly determined. The results of the analysis showed that the needs of student counseling services included six problem areas namely: personal-social (81%), academic (76%), career (82%), premarital (75%), traumatic (71%), and multicultural (81 %). The results of this study indicate that the level of need for online counseling services for UNS students is quite high. These results need to be followed up with the development of an android-based online counseling service platform in order to improve the quality of psychological services of UNS students.

Abstract

Management of human resource development in the field of education related to the role of the Principal in an effort to develop the potential that exist in educators and educational personnel. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which the role of Headmaster and the staff of educators and education at Kartodipuran elementary school number 21 Surakarta in an effort to explore the ability to support performance in working in the field of education. This research uses qualitative descriptive method with data collection through interview technique and documentation. The results of this study can be concluded that the principal, educators and education at Kartodipuran elementary school number 21 Surakarta has conducted various training and education activities such as job rotation, understudy, coaching and counseling, conference, outdoor training, training, simulations, lecture, self-study.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Motivational Interviewing technique to increase the learning motivation of SMK students. This study uses a Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects of each experimental and control group were seven students selected using the purposive sampling technique. Research data were collected using a learning motivation scale. The results of the Mann-Whitney test analysis showed a p-value score of 0.002 (0.002 <0.05). It can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the posttest score of learning motivation between the experimental group and the control group. This difference occurred because of the treatment for the experimental group in the form of motivational interviewing techniques..Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan teknik Motivational Interviewing untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan Non equivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian masing-masing kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol berjumlah tujuh siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan menggunakan skala motivasi belajar. Hasil analisis Uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan skor p-value 0,002 (0,002<0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan dari skor hasil posttest motivasi belajar antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol. Perbedaan tersebut terjadi karena adanya treatment untuk kelompok eksperimen berupa teknik motivational interviewing.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to (1) describe the form of antisocial behaviour in Junior High School; (2) Formulate the factors that cause antisocial behaviour in these students; (3) Formulate alternatives to overcome antisocial behaviour in these students. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were three students of junior high school who performed antisocial behaviour. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analysed through three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and then conclusions. The results showed that the dominant antisocial behaviour that appeared in students were violating school rules, physically attacking friends, destroying school facilities and other people's belongings, and taking actions to withdraw from the environment. Factors that influence antisocial behaviour are personal, family factors, school-related factors, and social factors. In contrast, the alternative for antisocial coping is through repeated coaching by counselor, counselling, classical guidance via video, support from friends, counselor collaborating with parents, homeroom teachers, class teachers, and related parties use of the reward method and punishment.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan bentuk perilaku antisosial di SMP; (2) Merumuskan  faktor-faktor penyebab perilaku antisosial pada peserta didik tersebut; (3) Merumuskan alternatif pengatasan perilaku antisosial pada peserta didik tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu tiga peserta didik SMP yang melakukan perilaku antisosial. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, serta  dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui tiga langkah yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data kemudian dilakukan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku antisosial yang dominan muncul pada peserta didik adalah melanggar peraturan di sekolah, melakukan penyerangan fisik terhadap teman, melakukan pengerusakan fasilitas sekolah maupun barang orang lain, melakukan tindakan menarik diri dari lingkungan. Faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku antisosial tersebut yaitu faktor pribadi, faktor keluarga, faktor berkaitan dengan sekolah, dan faktor sosial. Sedangkan alternatif pengatasan antisosial yaitu melalui  pembinaan berulang kali oleh guru BK, konseling, bimbingan klasikal melalui video, dukungan dari teman-teman, guru BK berkolaborasi dengan orang tua, wali kelas, guru kelas, dan pihak yang terkait, serta penggunaan metode rewards dan punishment.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to increase students' learning responsibility by testing the effectiveness of reality group counseling. This experimental study used a nonequivalent control group design. Data collection uses a learning responsibility scale. The research subject selection technique used purposive sampling: students with low learning responsibilities—data analysis using Mann Whitney. The results showed a significant difference in gain score between the experimental group and the control group with a p-value of 0.004 (0.004 <0.05). It can be concluded that students' learning responsibilities have increased after being given the reality group counseling treatment.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab belajar siswa dengan menguji keefektifan konseling kelompok realita.  Penelitian eksperimental ini menggunakan desain nonequivalent control group design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala tanggung jawab belajar. Teknik pemilihan subjek penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling, yaitu siswa yang memiliki tanggung jawab belajar rendah. Analisis data menggunakan Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan gain score yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dengan p-value 0,004 (0,004 < 0,05).
