Abstract

This study was conducted to reveal and describe the meaning of the effectiveness of online learning during the Covid-19 outbreak in fifth grade students of SD Negeri Wirotaman. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research was conducted using data collection techniques in the form of interview techniques, observation techniques, and documentation techniques. Sources of data in this study were students in grade V, teachers, and parents of students. The data in this study were processed using inductive data processing techniques according to Miles and Huberman. Based on the research results, the researcher found six variables that emerged, namely the online learning process, learning facilities, tutoring, students' understanding of the material, online learning constraints, and learning outcomes. Of the six variables found, the researcher has a relationship between one variable and another. Judging from the results of the study, the implementation of online learning for grade V SD Negeri Wirotaman was less effective. Online learning activities as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak caused obstacles that were felt by students. Students find it difficult to understand the subject matter, lack of concentration, are bored, and an unstable internet network.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep penjumlahan peserta didik kelas 1 SD Kristen Widya Wacana Pasarlegi setelah menggunakan media Matific, dilihat dari tahapan perkembangan kognitif, 2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan peserta didik kelas 1 SD Kristen Widya Wacana Pasarlegi dalam menyelesaikan soal penjumlahan setelah menggunakan media Matific, dilihat dari tahap perkembangan kognitif. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif kuantitatif atau mixed method dengan menggunakan media Matific yang terdiri dari tiga tahap: 1) persiapan lapangan, 2) pelaksanaan lapangan, dan 3) analisis data. Indikator yang digunakan adalah indikator miskonsepsi dan indikator kognitif, peneliti menggunakan kedua indikator ini dan mengkaitkannya dengan keempat tahapan dari Taksonomi Bloom (mengingat, memahami, menerapkan dan menganalisis). Instrumen penelitian diperuntukkan untuk peserta didik sekolah dasar kelas 1 dengan lima informan. Instrumen yang diberikan telah divalidasi isi oleh para ahli. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) penggunaan media Matific di SD Kristen Widya Wacana Pasarlegi membantu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep penjumlahan bagi peserta didik kelas 1 secara signifikan, 2) kemampuan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal penjumlahan mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan Matific.

Abstract

P5 or the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project is part of the Independent Curriculum. The issue of environmental damage gave rise to the term Ecological Art. Ecological Art refers to the sustainable use of natural resources through works of art. This study looked at works of art in mountainous and coastal elementary schools to obtain an overview of student and environmental interaction practices. The purpose of this study was to identify the profile of works of art by coastal and mountainous elementary school students from an Ecological Art perspective. This study used a qualitative research method. Qualitative research is based on events that actually happened. This method will answer problems or realities that occur in depth. Meanwhile, the approach used is a case study. A case study is one of the research approaches that focuses on exploring events in real life. Both schools in coastal and mountainous areas have implemented five aspects of Ecological Art in P5 learning. Aspects of Ecological Art include the use of natural materials in works of art, promoting sustainable environmental development, collaborative activities in works of art, utilising recycled materials, and realising environmental conservation messages. In general, the two schools have similarities in implementing P5 activities. The profile of P5 works of students at SD Negeri 1 Gondanglegi and SD Negeri 2 Kalijoyo have been integrated with aspects of Ecological Art. P5 activities and students' artwork in grade IV of SD Negeri 1 Gondanglegi and SD Negeri 2 Kalijoyo can be implemented well and meet the research indicators compiled by the researcher.

Abstract

This study addresses the persistent issue of low reading comprehension among elementary school students, which remains a critical challenge in achieving effective literacy learning. In many classrooms, reading instruction is still dominated by teacher-cantered approaches, resulting in limited student engagement and superficial understanding of texts. To overcome this problem, innovative learning strategies that integrate interactive models and engaging media are needed. This research aims to examine the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by educational comic media and its impact on students’ reading comprehension. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach supported by simple quantitative data. The subjects were 26 fourth-grade students of an elementary school. Data were collected through observation, reading comprehension tests, and documentation. The implementation followed PBL stages, including problem presentation, group discussion, exploration, and reflection, using educational comics as learning media. The results indicate that the integration of PBL and educational comics significantly improved students’ reading comprehension and engagement. The percentage of students achieving the minimum competency standard increased from 65% in the pre-implementation phase to 84% after the intervention. Students demonstrated better ability to identify characters, interpret text, analyze content, and draw conclusions. In conclusion, the PBL model assisted by educational comic media is effective in enhancing reading comprehension and fostering active learning. This approach can serve as an alternative strategy to improve literacy instruction in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication skills of elementary school students in the context of 21st century learning through the application of the 4C-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects of this study were 5th grade students at SD Negeri Bekonang 02, Mojolaban District in 2024/2025. Data collection used observation, interview, and documentation techniques, and was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results showed that the application of 4C-based PBL can improve students' written communication skills in science learning. Students become more active in expressing several opinions and writing experimental reports. Learning in elementary schools should be contextual, collaborative, and also problem-based in order to support skilled communication skills in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of elementary school students in relation to the development of a Science e-module based on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in order to foster green moral awareness. The background of this research lies in the low level of students’ awareness of environmental issues and the importance of integrating sustainability values into the learning process, particularly in science education. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving fourth-grade teachers and students. The analysis revealed that students require learning media that are interactive, contextual, and capable of building both understanding and a caring attitude toward the environment. These findings serve as a crucial foundation for designing an ESD-based e-module that aligns with the characteristics and learning needs of elementary school students. The development of this ESD-based e-module is expected to provide a solution for enhancing students’ understanding of scientific concepts while simultaneously instilling sustainability values from an early age.

Abstract

Hasil belajar peserta didik yang rendah dapat disebabkan karena pembelajaran yang dilakukan belum disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan karakterisik peserta didik. Pembelajaran yang dilakukan perlu disesuaikan dengan karakteristik dan keunikan peserta didik agar mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi dan tantangan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi bagi peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah systematik literature review. Jumlah artikel penelitian yang diteliti berjumlah 15 artikel. Artikel tersebut diperoleh dari Science direct dan Google scholar. Kriteria artikel yang diteliti daam penelitian ini adalah tipe reseacrh article yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2019-2024, memiliki struktur yang lengkap, open acces serta menggunakan bahasa Inggris dan Indonesia. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis tematik untuk secara sistematis mengeksplorasi hubungan antara konsep yang diidentifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berpotensi meningkatkan efisiensi dan mengurangi ketimpangan dalam sistem pendidikan. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi juga mampu mengembangkan keingintahuan atau kreativitas peserta didik. Pembelajaran tersebut dapat memenuhi kebutuhan peserta didik karena pelaksanaanya menyesuaikan kebutuhan individu peserta didik. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi juga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komputasional, penyelesaian masalah, dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Tantangan yang dihadapi dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi adalah kurangnya waktu yang diperlukan, manajemen kelas, dan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat dalam penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Selain itu, tantangan yang perlu dihadapi adalah bahan ajar yang masih minim. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi secara keseluruhan dapat mengembangkan keterampilan dan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menyesuaikan kebutuhan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini dapat berkontribusi dalam peningkatan kemampuan dan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui pembelajaran berdiferensiasi.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' science learning outcomes in the matter of changes in temperature and shape of objects. This research is a classroom action research conducted for three cycles. The research subjects were teachers and fifth grade students. The data used were qualitative and quantitative data. Sources of data come from teachers and students, research instruments, and the process of implementing learning. Data collection techniques using tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data validity uses triangulation techniques. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification, and uses quantitative statistics. The results showed that the percentage of completeness in cycle I was 46.66% on the cognitive aspect, 87.32% on the affective aspect, and 83.33% on the psychomotor aspect. In cycle II it reached 73.33% cognitive aspects, 91.33% affective aspects, and 95.83% psychomotor aspects. In cycle III it reached 87.50% on the cognitive aspect, 96.15% on the affective aspect, and 100% on the psychomotor aspect. The conclusion of the study is that the use of the guided inquiry learning model can improve science learning outcomes material changes in temperature and the shape of objects in fifth grade students. This research provides theoretical and practical implications for students, namely being able to optimize science learning outcomes by using the guided inquiry learning model and students gain learning experience meaningful because they are directly involved in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are 1) to identify early reading difficulties factors in SDN 2 Sumberingin and 2) the ways to overcome early reading difficulties. This research is using qualitative research with a case study approach. The subject in this research is 2nd-grade students. Data collection techniques using tests, observation, and interviews. Based on data from this research, the results show that 4 students still have reading difficulties. The difficulties such as identifying letters, having errors in pronouncing sentences, unfluent reading, and wrong intonation. The error are caused by some factors, such as physique factor, psychology, the teacher, environment, and facilities infrastructure. Efforts that can be made are monitoring by parents and giving rewards so that students' interest increases when learning to read. While in school, teachers can provide additional lesson hours and provide methods and media that can support reading skills.

Abstract

Pendidikan abad ke-21 menghadapi tantangan dan peluang kompleks seiring pesatnya perkembangan teknologi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran literasi digital dalam mendukung penguatan literasi numerasi dan literasi sains. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan (literature review) dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah terkait keterkaitan antara literasi digital, numerasi, dan sains. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif-kualitatif untuk mengungkap hubungan fungsional di antara ketiganya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan numerasi dan pemahaman konsep-konsep sains. Kemampuan untuk mengakses, mengevaluasi, dan memanfaatkan informasi digital mendukung keterampilan berpikir kritis dan analisis data dalam konteks berhitung dan penalaran ilmiah. Selain itu, akses terhadap sumber belajar digital memperkuat penguasaan konsep sains dan numerik secara interaktif dan kontekstual. Dengan demikian, literasi digital memainkan peran strategis dalam mengintegrasikan literasi sains dan numerasi pada pembelajaran abad ke-21.
