Abstract

Limbah dari peternakan domba berpotensi dijadikan agen berbagai penyakit dan sarang lalat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bertujuan untuk mengedukasi dan melatih masyarakat membuat ecoenzyme sebagai bahan baku pembuatan biodisinfektan. Pelaksanaan PKM menggunakan metode penyuluhan dengan pendekatan PRA dan pendampingan pelatihan dengan pendekatan TT. Pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap pengelolan sampah domestik meningkat dan memahami bahwa sampah memiliki nilai manfaat yang tinggi. Pengolahan sampah organik dapat dilaksanakan oleh setiap warga sehingga dapat menurunkan timbulan sampah dan sanitasi lingkungan terjaga.

Abstract

Desa Cikondang terletak di Kecamatan Hantara Kabupaten Kuningan memiliki potensi lahan pertanian yang cukup luas, juga memiliki sumber air yang cukup melimpah sehingga banyak warga yang memiliki kolam budidaya ikan. Kolam ikan yang dimiliki masyarakat biasanya bersifat terbuka artinya air kolam berasal dari aliran irigasi lahan pertanian sehingga kondisi air sangat tergantung pada kondisi lahan pertanian yang di budidayakan. System budidaya aquaponik merupakan penggabungan antara system budidaya ikan (aquakultur) dengan system budidaya sayuran hidroponik digunakan sebagai salah satu teknik penjernihan air dengan memanfaatkan akan tumbuhan sebagai filter kotoran dan cemaran yang dibawa oleh aliran air. Sosialisasi dengan metode video dan pengenalan teknik aquaponik dilakukan kepada masyarakat sebagai salah satu upaya konservasi air dan juga memberikan peluang peningkatan hasil produksi yaitu ikan dan sayuran pada lahan kolam. Masyarakat sangat tertarik dengan system budidaya aquaponik ini sehingga menginginkan adanya pendampingan untuk pembuatan instalasi hidroponik secara langsung.

Abstract

Wilayah Dusun Wangon Desa Citangtu memiliki potensi jenis-jenis bambu dan keterampilan kerajianan bahan baku bambu. Tanaman bambu yang ada tersebar di lahan milik masyarakat seperti kebun, pekarangan dan hutan rakyat bahkan ada juga di sempadan sungai dan lahan milik desa. Potensi ini belum sepenuhnya dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Selama ini masyarakat telah memanfaatkan bambu sebagai bahan bangunan dan kerajinan yang telah mampu dijual dan diterima pasar seperti membuat kandang ayam, membuat pagar, ajir, tampah dan perabotan lain. Potensi ini perlu untuk dikembangkan dan dimanfaatkan lebih optimal untuk dapat meningkatkan nilai bambu di masyarakat baik secara ekologi maupun ekonomi. Secara ekologi bambu mampu memperkuat sempadan sungai dan penahan aliran air (run off) agar tidak mudah tererosi. Secara ekonomi bambu dapat dibuat berbagai macam produk untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga, seni, bahan pakaian/serat dan bahan makanan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini dengan metode penyuluhan dan penyadartahuan kepada masyarakat berupaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat pentingnya konservasi terutama peremajaan pohon/rumpun bambu uuntuk dapat meningkatkan fungsinya. Program ini akan memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang konservasi bambu, peremajaan dan upaya budidaya dengan berbagai teknik pembuatan bibit bambu yaitu dengan tunas alami (rebung), stek batang, stek batang dalam air, dan stek ranting. Disamping itu juga memberikan contoh produk-produk bambu lain yang lebih laku di pasaran sehingga dapat membuka wawasan masyarakat tentang difersifikasi produk selain yang biasa dibuat.

Abstract

Farmers in Karangsari Village have limited access to subsidized fertilizers because they are constrained by the requirements that must be met. This condition encourages farmers to look for alternative fertilizers that can reduce dependence on subsidized fertilizers, one of which is by using mycorrhizal biofertilizers. This service activity is an advanced stage of the previous service activity. The purpose of the activity is to provide training in making plant plots and techniques for using mycorrhizal biofertilizers in the plant cultivation process. Service activities are carried out by lecture and practice methods with stages: 1) pre-test, 2) exposure of fertilizer material, fertilization and biofertilizer (material repetition), 3) practice of making plant demplots, 4) practice of mycorrhizal biofertilizer application to plants, 5) post test, and 6) assistance in plant observation and maintenance. The results of the service show that there is an increase in farmers' knowledge in understanding biological fertilizers and an increase in farmers' awareness/desire in applying biological fertilizers in cultivation practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi dan menganalisis model arsitektur pohon serta keanekaragaman vegetasi di kawasan hutan kampus Politeknik Padamara. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis vegetasi dengan parameter kerapatan, frekuensi, dominansi, dan indeks nilai penting (INP), serta klasifikasi model arsitektur berdasarkan pengamatan morfologis dan referensi literatur. Selain itu, dilakukan analisis terhadap keragaman, kekayaan jenis, dan kemerataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis pohon dengan INP tertinggi adalah Leucena glauca, Ceiba petandra, dan Mangifera indica. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman Shannon-Wiener (H’) sebesar 2,indeks kekayaan jenis (Dmg) sebesar 5,75, dan indeks kemerataan (E) sebesar 0,32. Ditemukan 13 jenis pohon dengan model arsitektur Troll, 8 jenis model Rauh, serta beberapa jenis lainnya dengan model Scarrone, Aubreville, Corner, dan Champagnat. Kajian ini menunjukkan pentingnya keberadaan hutan kampus sebagai ruang konservasi dan pendidikan ekologis, serta potensi pohon dalam mitigasi perubahan iklim melalui penyimpanan karbon dan kontribusi biodiversitas.

Abstract

The Tilu Daun community group, Cimara Village, Kuningan Regency has the goal of realizing the Mount Tilu forest area which has the potential for biological natural resources, both flora and fauna. Apart from this, this regional group also utilizes natural resources to become special interest tourism. The purpose of this community service activity is to hold training on vegetation analysis and wildlife observation for the Tilu Daun group so that their capacity to utilize Mount Tilu's natural resources increases. This activity was carried out in Cimara Village which involved members of the Tilu Daun community group by training the participants' skills in vegetation analysis and wildlife observation activities starting from the preparation stage to the appearance of observations in the field. This training activity received a good response from the activity participants and must continue to be carried out on an on going basisKelompok masyarakat Tilu Daun Desa Cimara Kabupaten Kuningan mempunyai tujuan melestarikan kawasan hutan Gunung Tilu yang mempunyai potensi sumberdaya alam beranekaragam baik flora maupun fauna. Selain melestarikan kawasan kelompok ini juga memanfaatkan sumberdaya alam menjadi wisata minat khusus. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah mengadakan pelatihan analisis vegetasi dan pengamatan satwa liar bagi kelompok Tilu Daun sehingga kapasitas dalam memanfaatkan sumberdaya alam Gunung Tilu meningkat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Cimara yang melibatkan anggota kelompok masyarakat Tilu Daun dengan melatih kemampuan peserta dalam kegiatan analisis vegetasi dan pengamatan satwa liar mulai dari tahap persiapan sampai pada pelaksanaan pengamatan di lapangan. Kegiatan pelatihan ini mendapat respon yang baik dari peserta kegiatan dan harus terus dilakukan secara berkesinambungan.

Abstract

The potential for the generation of organic and inorganic waste is increasing in line with the increase in population and lifestyle. Domestic waste generation data were obtained based on a family survey by sampling. For 8 (eight days). The data were analyzed according to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 19-3964-1994. The results obtained show that the amount of inorganic waste is greater than organic waste. This potential can be utilized as a business activity unit for BUMDESA by establishing 3R TPS. The community paradigm changes after assessing the economic potential of organic and inorganic waste generation.

Abstract

The Jati Tengah integrated waste management site consists of a waste processing building and land designated for the development of waste processing products through the concept of reduce, reuse and recycle. The concept that has not been implemented requires community participation to optimize the land. This community empowerment activity aims to increase community participation in optimizing the land by planting local plants as an effort to increase food security. Participatory Rural Appraisal is the right method to increase community involvement. Empowerment activities include educational activities for the community through discussion groups that discuss the theme of land optimization. The next activity is planting peanuts, mangoes, avocados, durians, guavas, coconuts, bay trees and teak trees with an intercropping system. Planting begins with land preparation, digging planting holes and providing compost, planting and harvesting. Peanuts are harvested first, then cassava. The community is more interested in planting types of nuts because they adapt to weather conditions. The next service priority is to plant various types of nuts by maintaining an intercropping system. Keywords: waste, land, food, participation, service

Abstract

The rehabilitation strategy for improving the fertility of ex-sand mining soil must be able to improve the ecological conditions of the damaged mining environment, so that its growth can then be symbiotic with indigenous AMF. The types of plants that have the potential to be developed and are quite well known to the public are the types of plants that have economic value for the community and also have ecological value, where these plants are cut down so that they can improve the ecosystem condition of the former sand mining land in the area. Types of MPTS that might be developed include jackfruit, soursop and sugar apple plants. The type of plant chosen is aimed at land reclamation and also has a social and economic function for the community. This research was conducted in April - August 2023 at the Green House and Silviculture Laboratory, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, Kuningan University. In this study there were 2 variables, namely the independent variable which included the mycorrhizal genus and plant type, while the dependent variable included plant stem height, plant root length, plant root volume, number of spores on the plant. This research uses a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) data analysis method using SPSS software with two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at an error rate of 5%. The results showed that the use of the mycorrhizal genus independently had a very significant influence on the number of spores, but did not have a significant influence on the growth of stem height and root length. The use of plant species independently had a very significant influence on the growth of stem height, root length and root volume, but did not have a significant influence on the number of spores. Meanwhile, the interaction between the mycorrhizal genus and plant type had a very significant influence on root volume and did not have a significant influence on the growth of stem height, root length and number of spores.

Abstract

Agroforestry is a land use system that combines agricultural crops with forestry plants which are generally carried out in order to obtain maximum income. This study aims to determine the level of income of agroforestry farmers, how much farmer income contributes and to determine the factors that affect agroforestry farmers’ income. This study used an interview method with 41 agroforestry farmers and was conducted in December-April 2020 in Karangsari Village, Kuningan Regency. Karangsari village has 38 types of plants that are used to generate economic value for farmers’ income, the income that farmers get from agroforestry is Rp. 2,071,796,500 and farmers’ income from non-agroforestry products amounting to Rp. 2,481,600,000 so that it can be seen that the contribution of management with an agroforestry system to farmers’ income is 46%, while the contribution of non-agroforestry is 54%. Factors that can affect farmers’ income are land area factors. This is because the larger the land area, the more various types of plants and the more yields you get.
