Abstract

The coastal waters of Wonorejo is part of the East Coast Surabaya which receive the brunt of watersheds (DAS) from other rivers. The main source of heavy metal wastes in the River on the downstream Wonorejo pass several industries suspected of disposing of hazardous waste. One of the main heavy metal which is a toxic element and effect on aquatic ecological systems are cadmium (Cd).Mud crab is one potential biota found in the mangrove area of Wonorejo River Surabaya can accumulate heavy metals. This research was carried out in April 2018 with sampling at three stations with time each week for three times.Analysis of heavy metals cadmium (Cd) in mud crabs (Scylla sp.), water and sediments carried out in the laboratory of nutrition of the Faculty of public health University Airlangga. Research method using observation which is channeled in the waters and farmed in Wonorejo Surabaya. Mud crab meat samples, water and sediments tested using Atomic Absoption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The results of the test concentration of heavy metals cadmium (Cd) in mud crab meat on the river Wonorejo i.e. 0.032 mg.kg-1 where the value of these levels are still below the threshold of quality raw heavy metal Cd on crustaceans i.e. 1 mg.kg-1 (SNI 7387:2009). The Cd content in water of Wonorejo river in between 0.014-0.02 ppm and on sediments between 0.234-0.416 mg/kg. Correlation of cadmium content in water with crab meat in the correlation coefficient shows of Wonorejo -0.22 (a weak correlation, a negative direction). Then, the correlation of the content of cadmium in sediments with crab meat in the correlation coefficient shows of Wonorejo 0.285 (of correlation is weak, the positive direction).

Abstract

Surabaya is one of the East Java region with relatively high levels of fish consumption. In a food fish production activity in Surabaya, one of the species of fish which allows for developed through cultivation is catfish. Since catfish has the advantage than other fish because it has good durability and can be cultivated in high density. African catfish cultivation activity will be increase if it is developed in coastal region of Surabaya because there is many potential of fish catches waste as feed which are underutilized by coastal communities. Only this time the land and water resources of coastal area in Surabaya are generally limited, so it is necessary to know a model of African catfish fish farming with the use of limited land and water resources. For overcoming these problems, it is needed system of fish farming technology appropriate to be applied to the activities of African catfish farming in Surabaya and the technology is the dumbo catfish cultivation with intensive system akuaponic. AbstrakSurabaya adalah salah satu wilayah Jawa Timur dengan tingkat konsumsi ikan cukup tinggi. Dalam kegiatan usaha produksi ikan konsumsi di kota Surabaya, salah satu spesies ikan yang memungkinkan untuk dikembangkan melalui kegiatan budidaya adalah ikan lele. Sebab ikan lele memiliki keunggulan dari ikan-ikan lain karena termasuk ikan yang memiliki daya tahan kuat dan dapat dipelihara dengan padat tebar tinggi. Kegiatan budidaya lele dumbo akan semakin marak apabila dikembangkan di wilayah pesisir Kota Surabaya mengingat banyaknya potensi bahan pakan murah berupa limbah ikan tanggkapan yang kurang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat pesisir. Hanya saja saat ini lahan dan sumber air masyarakat pesisir kota Surabaya umumnya terbatas, sehingga perlu diperkenalkan suatu model budidaya ikan lele dumbo dengan pemanfaatan lahan dan sumber air yang terbatas. Mengatasi masalah tersebut, diperlukan sistem teknologi budidaya ikan yang tepat untuk diterapkan pada kegiatan usaha budidaya ikan lele dumbo di kota Surabaya dan teknologi tersebut adalah budidaya ikan lele dumbo dengan intensif sistem akuaponik.

Abstract

One of larvae feed can be used is Brachionus plicatilis but necessary an enrichment for review adding nutritional values of the Brachionus plicatilis. Some phytoplankton frequently used type food by Brachionus plicatilis between lay Tetraselmis sp., Skeletonema costatum, Chlorella sp., Dunaliella salina and Spirulina sp. (Isnansetyo And Kurniastuty, 1995). In this time, many parlors seed microalgae replace with yeast bread, beside that yeast bread serves as a probiotic too (Winasuria, 1993). This study aims to determine the effect feeding review form a combination of yeast bread and Chlorella sp. against population growth and protein content of Brachionus plicatilis. The research method used is an experimental method with completely randomized design as design of Experiments. The treatment used is a combination of yeast and Chlorella sp. with different period, that was treatment A (Chlorella sp. 100%), treatment B (Chlorella sp. 25% and 75% baker's yeast), treatment C (Chlorella sp. 50% and 50 % of baker's yeast), treatment D (Chlorella sp. 75% and 25% baker's yeast), each treatment was repeated 5 times. The main parameter observed is population growth, growth rate and protein content. The supporting parameters observed parameter is water quality. Data analysis using variant analysis (ANOVA) and to review the best treatment, Duncan's Multiple Range Test performed. Results Provision combination of baker's yeast and Chlorella sp. with term certain showed significant differences (p<0,05) against population growth Brachionus plicatilis. The highest population growth are in treatment D  and the lowest are in treatment B. For a review feeding of Brachionus plicatilis preferably using Chlorella sp. with 1,125x106 density cells / ml and 0,0005 grams of baker's yeast.

Abstract

Grouper (Epinephelus sp.) is a reef fish commodity that are currently utilized in a large enough scale. Of the types of grouper, tiger grouper has advantages compared to other types. This fish hight economic value because it has a delicious meat, nutritious and contain unsaturated fatty acids. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) is a systematic approach to food safety management based on the principles there that aims to identify the hazards that tend to occur at every step of the food chain. One of the principles of HACCP is to determine the CCP using Decision Tree Diagram CCP (Decision Tree). Field Work Practice was conducted at PT. Alam Jaya, District Rungkut, Surabaya City, East Java Province on 18 January  to 26 February , 2016. The working method that used in Field Work Practice is descriptive method with data collection included primary data and secondary data. Data is collected by observation, interview and active participation. CCP determination based on the presence of danger in a process that can not be removed in the next process. Determination of CCP based on the observation of every production process is known that the process of receiving raw materials and metal detectors are CCP.

Abstract

Parent Involvement program for Teacher is a program with a family approach as a part of the educational system of children. Teachers and parents have an important role in children’s education through communication. The key of communication is awareness and sensitivity. The aim of this paper is to give an understanding of parents empowerment as an asset in educating children through the role of the teacher. The method is used in this paper is qualitative by collecting data. Teacher not only teach but also empower parent s as one of golden rule in children’s education. Teachers are led to face numerous families through professionalism, ability and confidence to increase parent involvement in children’s education. Parent involvement in children’s education absolutely must be done, so effective communication support for teachers to parents through direct involvement, demonstration or display and communication so that the relationship between parents and teachers can give a good impact for children. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide solutions based on the analysis of the situation conducted on two schools, they are SD Islam Wahid Hasyim and MI Ma'arif Kedensari Sidoarjo conducted through: 1) socialization for teachers in the two schools about the use of website in learning mathematics. In this case the website to be used is a website launched by NCTM which can be accessed through http://illuminations.nctm.org; 2) training for teachers in the two schools on website utilization in mathematics learning; and 3) mentoring the teachers from the two schools in using the website in teaching mathematics. This research includes three main stages, they are planning, implementation, and assessment. The results obtained from this research is that most teachers are able to operate computers, use the internet, access NCTM websites, and run interactive media in the website. Teachers are also able to utilize the NCTM website as a media in teaching mathematics. There is an increase in student activity in learning mathematics by using the website in SD Islam Wahid Hasyim and MI Ma'arif Kedensari that is relevant to the teaching and learning activities increased from 70% to 85% and from 69% to 81%. Most students feel happy with the mathematics learning by using the website, students can use the media on the website and understand the material taught through the media, and students do not have difficulty in learning mathematics by using the website. Abstract

Kerang abalon merupakan salah satu komoditas laut yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi, karena daya jualnya dipasar ekspor sudah terbukti hingga mencapai Rp 600.000,- / kg. Salah satu faktor pengembangan abalon menjadi suatu industri akuakultur di Indonesia disebabkan adanya permintaan konsumsi pasar yang terus meningkat, sementara itu jumlah pasokan produk budidaya masih terbatas dan masih mengandalkan penangkapan dari alam. Tujuan dari Praktek kerja Lapang adalah untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari Teknik Pendederan Kerang Abalon (Haliotis squamata) di Balai Besar Penelitian dan Pengembangan Budidaya Laut Gondol-Bali. Kegiatan Praktek Kerja Lapang akan dilaksanakan di Balai Besar Penelitian dan Pengembangan Budidaya Laut (BBPPBL) Dusun Gondol, Desa Penyabangan, Kecamatan Gerokgak, Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali, Provinsi Bali. Praktek Kerja Lapang dilaksanakan pada 18 Januari 2016 – 18 Februari 2016. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pengambilan data meliputi data primer dan data sekunder. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, partisipasi aktif, dan studi pustaka. Pendederan kerang abalon dilaksanakan oleh pihak Hatchery Abalon di Balai Penelitian dan Pengembangan Budidaya laut Gondol-Bali meliputi pemanenan juvenile, pemindahan ke keranjang pendederan, pemberian pakan, kualitas air, seleksi kerang abalon dan pemeliharaan. Kualitas pendederan kerang abalon yang dilakukan oleh BBPPBL Gondol-Bali sudah memenuhi standar yang baik untuk budidaya kerang abalon.

Abstract

Ikan Arwana super red merupakan ikan yang memiliki warna dan bentuk yang mengagumkan. Ikan jenis ini banyakdicari oleh kolektor ikan hias karena dianggap dapat mendatangkan hoki. Permintaan pasar yang terus menngkat tidak dibarengi dengan meningkatnya produksi ikan dari produsen. Diperlukan adanya informasi tentang pemijahan alami dari ikan arwana super red. Tujuan praktek kerja lapang yang telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui standard operasional yang benar tentang pemijahan alami ikan arwana super red di PT. Arwana, dengan mengetahui standard operasional teknik pemijahan ikan arwana dapat ditemukan juga hambatan yang muncul saat proses pemijahan ikan arwana super red. Kegiatan pemijahan secara alami pada ikan Arwana Super Red meliputi persiapan kolam dengan melakukan pengeringan kolam tanah selama satu minggu. Langkah selanjutnya adalah menanam tanaman sejenis padi. Setelah itu dilakukan pengisian air pada kolam tanah. Seleksi induk untuk memilih induk yang matang gonad kemudian memasukanikan sebanyak 60 ekor per kolam dengan perbandingan jantan betina 1:1 dengan jumlah jantan 30 dan betina 30. Langkah selanjutya dilakukan pemberian pakan berupa katak hidup yang telah disterilkan dengan menggunakan air mengalir. Setelah satu bulan ikan arwana memijah secara alami. Langkah terakhir adalah melakukan pemanenan benih.

Abstract

Ikan baung (Mystus nemurus) merupakan komoditas air tawar asli Indonesia yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam usaha pengembangan pakan buatan ikan baung untuk benih adalah pemanfaatan protein nabati dalam pakan belum optimal. Bahan-bahan nabati seperti tepung bungkil kedelai, jagung dan dedak padi. Kelompok tumbuhan dalam bentuk biji-bijian seperti padi, kacang-kacangan dan kelapa di dalamnya terdapat asam fitat. Asam fitat dapat bereaksi membentuk senyawa komplek dengan kalsium, magnesium, tembaga, seng, karbohidrat dan protein sehingga dapat mengurangi kecernaan nutrien tersebut. Salah satu enzim eksonegus pemecah asam fitat adalah enzim fitase. Fitase adalah enzim yang mampu menghidrolisa asam fitat menjadi inositol dan asam fosfat. Inositol merupakan salah satu vitamin yang diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan normal tubuh, pemeliharaan dan reproduksi. Asam fosfat berperan dalam aktivitas metabolisme dalam tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai kecernaan protein dan energi ikan baung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April – Juni di Fakultas Perikanan dan Kelautan, Universitas Airlangga. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah metode eksperimental dengan rancangan acak lengkap. terdiri atas lima perlakuan dan empat kali ulangan. Parameter utama nilai kecernaan protein dan enegiikan baung yang diujikan di Laboratorium Pakan Ternak, Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, Universitas Airlangga. Parameter pendukung yang diamati yaitu kualitas air pemeliharaan ikan baung. Penambahan enzim fitase pada dosis 450 mg dapat meningkatkan nilai kecernaan protein dengan rata-rata 97,18% - 97,86%. Penambahan enzim fitase pada dosis 450 mg dapat menaikkan kecernaan energi dengan rata-rata 96,97% - 97,99%.

Abstract

Ikan lele merupakan salah satu jenis ikan yang sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan sebagai ikan konsumsi. Permintaan pasar ikan lele di Indonesia semakin meningkat sehingga produksi yang dibutuhkan semakin tinggi, untuk itu dengan penambahan tepung azolla sebagai salah satu campuran bahan formulasi pakan ikan lele dibutuhkan untuk memacu pertumbuhan atau meningkatkan produktivitas ikan lele. Azolla sp. merupakan tanaman paku air yang selama ini dianggap sebagai gulma oleh para petani sehingga tidak dimanfaatkan, namun Azolla sp. memiliki kandungan protein yang cukup tinggi berkisar antara 24-30%sehingga dengan penambahan tanaman Azolla dapat menurunkan biaya produksi serta mempercepat pertumbuhan ikan lele. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tanaman Azolla sp..pada formulasi pakan terhadap nilai kecernaan protein dan kecernaan energi ikan lele menggunakan teknik pembedahan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dan perlakuan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan perbedaan jumlah persen Azolla sp. yaitu menggunakan P0 sebagai kontrol dengan penambahan Azolla sp. 0%, P1 penambahan Azolla sp. 5%, P2 penambahan Azolla sp. 10%, P3 penambahan Azolla sp. 15%, P4 penambahan Azolla sp. 20%. Kemudian dilakukan ulangan sebanyak 4 kali. Hasil Penelitian ini menggunakan penambahan Azolla sp. terhadap nilai kecernaan protein berbeda nyata (P<0,05) sedangkan untuk penambahan Azolla sp. terhadap nilai kecernaan energi tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05). Untuk kadar kecernaan protein tertinggi pada perlakuan P3 dengan penambahan Azolla sp. 15% dan kadar kecernaan energi tertinggi pada perlakuan P2 dengan penambahan Azolla sp. 10%.
