Abstract

Emotional intelligence is a person's ability to manage responses, emotions, and interactions when dealing with other people. This intelligence requires the owner to process feelings and respect themselves and others so that they are able and understand how to place themselves in their environment. Because of emotional intelligence’s importance in life, Darussalam Modern Gontor Islamic Institution which is one of the Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia with a dormitory system is very concerned and tries to improve this intelligence in addition to intellectual and spiritual intelligence. Therefore, this study aims to explain the implementation of emotional intelligence in Darussalam Modern Gontor Islamic Institution and its implications for students. This research is a qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis method used is descriptive analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that emotional intelligence at Darussalam Modern Gontor Islamic Institution is improved through various activities undertaken by students for 24 hours. From here, students have self-awareness, self-management, empathy, and sympathy and have good social relationships with various kinds of students with different characters.

Abstract

Darussalam Modern Gontor Islamic Institution for Girls second campus gives great attention to the teaching of Arabic. And always striving to improve students' Arabic language skills from all aspects, from activities inside and outside the classroom. Like student one intensive in particular, is considered as the initial phase in learning Arabic rules such as nahwu and shorof. So some students, especially in studying shorof, find it difficult and bored, causing a decrease in their interest and learning achievement. From the results of observations and interviews to overcome the problems that occur researchers see the design of instructional media development is needed. The development in question is the use of modern technology. That is, by using the Articulate Storyline application which aims to assist teachers in explaining easily and improving students' learning abilities or achievements This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research peneliti where researchers start by conducting interviews and dialogues with Shorof lecturers and students of class one intensive at Modern Islamic Boarding School second campus . In collecting data, researchers used observas, interviews, tests, and questionnaires. Researchers also used several research instruments, such as observation guides, interview guides, test questions, and questionnaire sheets. In data analysis, researchers used the t-test formula. Based on the results of the trial, this study can be concluded that the feasibility of developed learning media products in the form of (1) division of learning material shorof consists of muqoddimah and 5 chapters namely ، muqoddimah, chapter 1 (Shighoh), chapter 2 (al-Fi'il), chapter 3 (Auzan al-Fi'il), chapter 4 (Tashrif al-Af'al al-Lughow, al-madhi, al-mudhori ', al-amr) chapter 5 (al-mazidat fi al-af'al).  That is the value of t 0.774 is greater than the value of t test, which is in table 2.021 so that the null hypothesis is rejected, which means the developed media is effective to improve the student's learning ability in learning shorof materi

Abstract

Islamic education Institutions are very important for all students. Since how Indonesia looks can be seen in the existing education. Education must be returned to its original character, that is, to deliver students to be superior individuals in accordance with the realm of existing aspects, namely: psychomotor, cognitive and affective. This research aims at describing the implementation of training scout activities in the formation of leadership character for grade 5 and for describies, the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of scout training activities in the formation of leadership character for grade 5 students. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research.  For data collection of this study the researcher used 3 instruments, namely interview, observation and documentation. This research used Miles and Huberman’s data analysis framework which included 3 steps. The results of the analysis found by the researcher with the existence of scout training activities such as scout training on Thursday, Akbar’s camp and ceremonies can add to the 5th grade for leadership character, disciplined and responsible for each event. One of the supporting factors is the large number of students who are very enthusiastic in participating in this scout traning activities and one of the inhibiting factors is the fact that scout training activities is held on the day of Thursday that day, in which many of students are tired of the intense extracurricular activities on Thursday.
