Abstract

Humans have an essential role and function as caliphs on this earth. However, the figure of the caliph as a leader has begun to decline. This is due to the lack of knowledge about a caliph’s nature and the obligations that must be carried out. This library research will explore the concept of caliphs in the plural and singular forms found in the Qur'an based on an analysis of thematic interpretation studies and its relevance as a leader in Islam. The results of this study state that the meaning of the khalifah in the Qur'an can be clarified into three, namely: the meaning of the khalifah as a general leader for all human beings, the meaning of the khalifah as a leader that is specific or addressed to a nation or generations, and the meaning of the caliph which is individual, namely to the Prophet David. In addition, this paper can also provide insight into the values ​​or principles of the Shari'a contained in the meaning of caliph so that it can be a reference and is expected to be a motivation to produce a leader who understands the concept of khalifah and can implement his rights and obligations.

Abstract

The effectiveness of the Arabic educational process can't be separated from the curriculum that has been set and implemented properly. Kurikulum Merdeka, especially in Arabic language learning, is a new curriculum that has not been tested implementatively after its launch and is thought to be not following the level of student learning ability. Jean Piaget has given birth to a comprehensive theory of cognitive development which is the basis for the creation and development of educational curricula in the world. The purpose of cognitive development in Arabic language learning is to increase understanding to obtain new information. This study aims to determine the suitability and analyze the relevance of competence and objectives of Kurikulum Merdeka for Arabic language learning with Jean Piaget's cognitive theory. This study employs a descriptive analysis method along with a qualitative research design. While the method used is the method of observation and literature study. The data used is qualitative in the form of words, sentences, discourse, text, and the entire contents of Kurikulum Merdeka for Arabic language learning. The results of the analysis show that Kurikulum Merdeka for Arabic language learning achieves good results in its suitability and relevance to Jean Piaget's theory of cognitive development. AbstrakKeberhasilan proses belajar mengajar bahasa Arab tidak lepas dari kurikulum yang telah ditetapkan serta diterapkan dengan baik. Kurikulum Merdeka khususnya dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab merupakan kurikulum baru yang belum teruji secara implementatif setelah diluncurkannya dan diduga belum sesuai dengan tingkatan kemampuan belajar siswa. Jean Piaget telah melahirkan teori perkembangan kognitif yang komprehensif yang menjadi dasar dalam pembuatan dan pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan di dunia. Tujuan perkembangan kognitif dalam pembelajaran bahasa arab adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman untuk memperoleh informasi baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian dan menganalisis relevansi kompetensi dan tujuan kurikulum Merdeka untuk pembelajaran bahasa Arab dengan teori kognitif Jean Piaget. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode observasi dan studi literatur. Data kualitatif yang digunakan berupa kata, kalimat, wacana, teks, dan keseluruhan isi kurikulum Merdeka untuk pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum Merdeka untuk pembelajaran bahasa Arab mencapai hasil yang baik pada kesesuaian dan relevansinya dengan teori perkembangan kognitif Jean Piaget.Kata Kunci: Kurikulum Merdeka; pembelajaran bahasa Arab; perkembangan kognitif; teori Jean Piaget

Abstract

This research aims to explore the relevance between the Islamic teachings on character education and the principles put forward by Stephen R. Covey in his book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People". The type of this research is a library research with an analytical descriptive approach. The research process involves collecting data related to character education, interpreting the data obtained, and further analyzing and interpreting the data. The results showed that Covey's seven habits, such as being proactive; starting with the end in mind; putting first things first; thinking winning; trying to understand first; then asking to be understood; realizing synergy; sharpening the saw have relevance to Islamic teachings. Although in line, Covey's character education principles are narrower when compared to Islamic teachings that cover the aspects of character and morals more broadly and in detail in the Qur'an and hadith. Islamic character education emphasizes the formation of individuals with strong faith. Overall, this study emphasizes the importance of character education in forming individuals with good personalities, especially in the context of building the Indonesian nation.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the quality of textbook content Ayo Belajar Bahasa Arab in terms of the cognitive aspects of Jean Piaget’s Cognitive Development Theory. This research is a qualitative analytical study by library research methodology. The main data sources are the textbooks of Ayo Belajar Bahasa Arab and lots of the latest studies. The analysis was done by analyzing the content of relevant data using the cognitive development qualifications of Jean Piaget. The results of this study are concluded that the purpose of the textbooks studied is in accordance with the abilities of children aged 11 or grade 5 elementary school according to Jean Piaget's theory of cognitive development. Matching one thing with another, understanding conversations, discussing and arguing with the guidance of the teacher, and classifying sentences from Arabic to Indonesian are the abilities students need to study the textbook according to their goals. Appropriate book material is learning vocabulary, practicing conversation, reading, and constructing sentences and exercises. The analysis results show that Ayo Belajar Bahasa Arab’s book achieves excellent results on the suitability and appropriateness to the theory of cognitive development of Jean Piaget.

Abstract

The problem with maharah qira'ah assessment instruments is that there is no standardized assessment tool in Qira'ah Rasyidah volume 5, which limits access to effectively measuring students' reading skills. This research aimed to develop assessment instrument of the Qira'ah Rasyidah book volume 5, while the contains of this book were merely scripts, Arabic texts or stories; without any assessment instrument. In the results of the analysis, this book does not have any form of assessment instrument so it is not easy to assess comprehension, critical thinking, and analytical skills in reading Arabic texts. The research method in this research was qualitative of literature study data collection. The primary data source consisted of an in-depth analysis of the materials in Qira'ah Rasyidah volume 5, focusing on its content structure, language complexity, and the absence of assessment instruments. The secondary data source was taken from articles, information books, and literature documents relevant to this research. In addition, the results showed that the development of a suitable test assessment for reading skills in this book is at the fifth level, the ability to evaluate. The development results were categorized into three types of tests including pronunciation, answer selection, and essay tests.  The findings of this study contribute to the advancement of Arabic language assessment by providing a structured assessment instrument for Qira'ah Rasyidah volume 5. This research served as a basis for future curriculum development, ensuring that assessment tools were aligned with higher order thinking skills in Maharah Qira'ah.

Abstract

Bagi setiap orang tua, memberikan pendidikan dan pengasuhan kepada anak secara ideal merupakan wujud investasi yang kelak akan berdampak positif baik bagi anak, maupun para orang tua. Namun, di era saat ini, banyak di antara para orang tua yang memiliki kepadatan aktivitas hingga hampir tidak ada waktu untuk mendampingi anak-anak. Oleh karena itu, kehadiran ruang edukatif terpadu dapat menjadi salah satu solusi alternatif agar anak-anak tetap memperoleh fasilitas pendidikan dan pengasuhan di tengah kesibukan orang tua. Pengembangan ruang edukatif terpadu “Bintang Ceria Educare (BCE)” menggabungkan konsep pendidikan dan pengasuhan anak usia dini di lingkungan Muhammadiyah. Kehadiran BCE merupakan wujud pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk menjawab persoalan penitipan anak-anak bagi para orang tua yang sibuk berkegiatan di Muhammadiyah. Kegiatan ini tidak hanya berhasil memancing kognitif, afektif, maupun psikomotorik anak. Namun, kegiatan ini sekaligus menjadi dukungan bagi para orang tua agar tetap dapat berpartisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan Muhammadiyah tanpa harus khawatir terhadap pengasuhan anak-anak. Adapun tahap pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini terdiri atas empat tahap, yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi.

Abstract

Proficiency in Arabic listening skills is often hindered by significant psychological barriers, such as foreign language anxiety. This study aims to address this challenge by developing a coherent pedagogical framework that integrates the affective strategies of Georgi Lozanov's Suggestopedia with the neuroscientific principles of Brain-Based Learning (BBL). A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following PRISMA guidelines. The process began with the identification of 205 records from academic databases, which were then screened to yield a final corpus of 36 core articles for thematic synthesis. This synthesis focused on literature pertaining to Suggestopedia, Brain-Based Learning (BBL), and listening acquisition. The analysis revealed profound synergies between Suggestopedia's techniques (e.g., concert sessions) and BBL's core principles (e.g., relaxed alertness, emotional engagement). This synthesis resulted in the formulation of the Integrated Suggestopedic Brain-Based Learning (ISBBL) model—a novel, five-phase conceptual framework proposed to systematically guide learners from high anxiety to a state of relaxed, active engagement. The ISBBL model offers a practical framework for educators. While it awaits empirical validation, the model conceptually grounds the intuitive methods of Suggestopedia in the principles of educational neuroscience. This framework presents a structured approach to overcoming affective barriers in Arabic listening instruction and is recommended for further empirical research to validate its classroom efficacy.
