Abstract

This community service is an extension and training for elementary school teachers at SDN 2 Tugumulya Kecamtan Darma, Kuningan Regency, on the preparation of literacy teaching materials based on local wisdom. This is based on the fact that students' literacy skills are still low, and one of the factors is the lack of teaching materials. This service uses the method of counseling and training with the following stages; 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) evaluation, 4) mentoring and consultation. After being given material on literacy concepts and teaching materials, the teacher's understanding is getting better. This can be seen from the question and answer activities carried out. In addition, the teacher's ability to compile simple teaching materials is good. They can choose the right material, and evaluate it according to the specified literacy criteria.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah atau Model Problem Based Learning dalam menulis teks berita pada siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 2 Garawangi Kuningan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dan memiliki pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh merupakan hasil wawancara dengan guru bahasa Indonesia yang mengajar di kelas VII C tentang proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Model Problem Based Learning dalam menulis teks berita di kelas VII C SMP Negeri 2 Garawangi Kuningan terlaksana sesuai dengan langkah-langkah model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Hal ini terlihat pada tahapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah, yaitu. dalam mengorientasikan siswa terhadap masalah, mengorganisasikan siswa, mengarahkan penelitian, mengembangkan dan menyajikan hasil kerja, menganalisis dan mengevaluasi proses pemecahan masalah. Kata kunci: Teks Berita; Model Problem Based Learning; Penerapan. APPLICATION OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODEL IN WRITING NEWS TEXT AT SMPN 2 GARAWANGI KUNINGAN ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to describe how to apply the problem-based learning model or Problem Based Learning Model in writing news texts for class VII C students at SMP Negeri 2 Garawangi Kuningan. This type of research is descriptive and has a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained is the result of interviews with Indonesian language teachers who teach in class VII C regarding the learning implementation process. The results of the research show that the application of the Problem Based Learning Model in writing news texts in class VII C of SMP Negeri 2 Garawangi Kuningan was carried out in accordance with the steps of the problem-based learning model. This can be seen in the problem-based learning stages, namely. in orienting students to problems, organizing students, directing research, developing and presenting work results, analyzing and evaluating problem solving processes.
