<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to analysic the corelation between organization culture, work stress and teacher performance. The reseach research were teachers i of senior high school No 1 Ulok Kupai. Samples were taken 35 teachers from senior high school. The data were analysed with descriptive statistic inferensial and technique. Result of the research show that: (1)the is positive and significan corelation between organization culture of teacher performance.(2)the is positive and significan corelation between works stress of teacher performance. <![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to describe how to the teacher empowering based on akademic qualification in the Public High School Srijaya Makmur District of Musi Rawas Nibung North. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects principal, vice principal areas of the curriculum, teachers, and supervisors. Methods of data collection put on interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of data using qualitative techniques.The results showed management based teacher education qualifications in schools is carried out on the basis of a very strong desire of the management of the school under the command of principal of a school principal to implement in earnest the commitments very full once the applicable provisions, which require the school to carry out a teachers in school management system based on the qualifications and competence of each teachers.]]>

<![CDATA[The objective in this research is desevice the management of the curriculum in schools Basic Pilot of Lubuklinggau. The general objective of this study was to evaluate the suitability of the curriculum in primary school curriculum management Lubuklinggau in implementing the evaluation of learning curriculum specifically 2006. The method used in this research using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results of the questionnaire study states that the planner learning device KTSP scored 33.33, and on the implementation of the scores 34, and the evaluation results to get a score of 30 and an average of 32.44, it can be concluded already meet the standards. Researchers in this research can be concluded that the planning, implementation and evaluation of results have met the standards.]]>

<![CDATA[The study aims to explore whether there is any difference in emotional intelligence (EQ) between the undergraduate and postgraduate students at the English education programs of the University of Bengkulu (Unib). The research design was ex-post facto. The sample included a number of English program students at both programs. The instrument was an emotional intelligence questionnaire. In data analysis, non-parametric tests were used. The result showed there was a significant difference in emotional intelligence between both groups. Futher study and teaching are recommended to improve the EQ of the undergraduate students.]]>

<![CDATA[Although the teachers commonly used many languages in the classroom, but that doesn't guarantee avoiding code switching. This research explores the perceptions and beliefs of teachers regarding the use of code switching in Islamic Senior High School classrooms. It also examines the roles and functions of code switching in the classroom. The sample of this research was twenty two Islamic Senior High School English Teacher in Bengkulu were involved in this research. Data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The result from this research were, 1) Islamic Senior High School English teachers generally have positive and negative views about the practice of code switching in the classroom. 2) There were 25 reasons why do the teacher use code switching in the classroom, 3) The major function of teachers’ code switching mainly for curriculum access and for maintaining interpersonal relations. Furthermore, Teachers also would be well advised to have strategies for effectively managing code switching in the English Teaching classroom to avoid its negative implications on the language learning process. It can be concluded that teachers also used code switching to maintain interpersonal relations, specifically to encourage students’ participation in classroom activities, to increase students’ motivation in and confidence in learning the target language.]]>

<![CDATA[Menulis kajian pustaka untuk artikel jurnal berbahasa Inggris merupakan tugas yang cukup sulit termasuk bagi guru bahasa Inggris, karena membutuhkan pengetahuan tentang Move dan Step dan keterampilan menulis yang benar dan efisien dalam bahasa Inggris. Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah untuk mengajar dan membimbing guru bahasa Inggris di Kota Lahat Sumatera Selatan dalam menulis kajian pustaka untuk artikel jurnal berbahasa Inggris. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 21 orang guru bahasa Inggris yang dilakukan secara tatap muka dan virtual. Sebelum dan setelah pelatihan, guru bahasa Inggris tersebut diminta untuk mengisi angket yang telah disiapkan. Hasil pelatihan dan pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa sebagain guru merasa menulis kajian pustaka susah dan sebagian lagi tidak namun sebagian besar mereka bersikap positif terhadap menulis artikel untuk jurnal internasional dalam bahasa Inggris. Setelah pelatihan sebagian besar peserta pelatihan meraka bahwa metode pelatihan yang digunakan efektif, pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka dalam menulis kajian pustaka semangkin baik dan motivasi mereka dalam menulis artikel semangkin tinggi. Sebaiknya pelatihan menulis karya ilmiah seperti artikel jurnal semangkin sering dilakukan untuk guru bahasa Inggris dengan bekerjasama dengan perguruan tinggi terdekat agar mereka makin mahir daam menuis karya ilmiah. ]]>

<![CDATA[Menulis artikel dan memublikasikannya di jurnal nasional atau jurnal internasional merupakan salah satu prasyarat yang harus dilakukan oleh guru untuk mengajukan kenaikan pangkat ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi. Dalam hal ini, guru Bahasa Inggris, khususnya yang ada di Kota Bengkulu mengalami kesulitan dalam menulis artikel jurnal ilmiah. Mereka kesulitan untuk mengembangkan ide dalam menulis artikel jurnal ilmiah. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk melatih para guru bahasa Inggris dalam menulis artikel jurnal ilmiah untuk dipublikasikan di jurnal nasional. Pelatihan ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru bahasa Inggris dalam menulis artikel jurnal Nasional. Kegiatan ini menggunakan konsep workshop dengan beberapa kegiatan proses seperti presentasi materi, penulisan artikel, dan bimbingan teknis. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan terbukti bahwa pengetahuan dan kemampuan para guru bahasa Inggris semakin baik setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini. Hasil angket menunjukkan> 80% peserta pelatihan memberikan respon yang positif. Selain itu, analisis data hasil uji regresi juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pelatihan menulis artikel jurnal terhadap kemampuan guru bahasa Inggris di Kota Bengkulu. Nilai Sig = 0,002 <0,025 artinya hipotesis nol ditolak. Dengan demikian, pelatihan menulis artikel jurnal nasional berdampak pada perubahan guru bahasa Inggris di Kota Bengkulu.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was aimed to find out ICT media are preferred by high school students in South Bengkulu in learning reading and to describe the reading materials should be used with ICT media. The research design was mixed method quantitative and qualitative with the subjects of this research were 302 high school students and 11 English teachers in South Bengkulu. The instruments of this research were questionairre and open-ended interview. The findings of the research revealed that (1) online ICT media was prefered by high school students in South Bengkulu in learning reading and (2) kinds of text became the reading material that should be used with ICT media. To suggest, a broader field test still needed to be done to achieve a better result and other researchers who are interested in the incorporation of ICT in learning teaching are suggested to conduct further investigation which possibly deals with other language skills.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was aimed to find out the students’, lecturers’, and experts’ perspective toward the quality of the English coursebook for nursing department students. This research was an evaluative study. The participants of this research were 3 experts, 3 lecturers and 80 nursing students. The instrument of this research was an evaluation checklist based on Mc.Donough and Shaw’s criteria. The findings of the research were (1) over eighty percent participants agreed that syllabus fulfills the criteria for quality a nursing coursebook; (2) over eighty percent participants agreed that the content area fulfills the criteria for quality a nursing coursebook; (3) over ninety percent participants agreed that layout and physical appearance fulfills the criteria for quality a nursing coursebook; (4) over eighty percent participants agreed that practicality fulfills the criteria for quality a nursing coursebook; (5) over eighty percent participants agreed that language use fulfills the criteria for quality a nursing coursebook.]]>

<![CDATA[This study investigates the argument pattern in research articles by postgraduate students of English and Education University Bengkulu, based on Toulmin’s Theory (1958). This study analyzed the argument pattern, and reveal the type of data used by the student to support the claim in their argument contains in introduction section and discussion section of Journal Applied Lingusitic and Literature (JOALL) 2016. The data analysis result show that (a) the common argument pattern employed for arguments in introduction section of Research Article published in JOALL is Semi-complete pattern; (b) in discussion section the authors also commonly employ Semi-complete pattern. In addition (c) there are five types of data used by the authors to ground their arguments they are, Facts, Statistics, Example, Expert Opinion, and A Note on Visual. It can be conclude that the Research Article author published in JOALL have a good argumentative text based on Toulmin’s theory.]]>
