Abstract

The aims of this research is improve stability and sensitivity of silver nanoparticles (NPP) immobilizatied on filter paper. Silver nanoparticles synthesized by reducing the ascorbic acid using a chemical reduction method. Immobilization NPP on filter paper is done with the technique of immobilization (immunosystem) is the process of molecular bonding reagent in supporting materials, so physically bound NPP the surface of filter paper is composed of cellulose fibers. The results obtained for the stability of immobilization NPP on filter paper can be last up to stable 60-daywhile liquid NPP stability can only last for 30 days. To maintained the stability ofimmobilization on filter paper is saved in a closed box. For the determination of sensitivity of immobilization NPP in the filter paper test is performed against the mercury (II) ion with each different concentrations. The results obtained for sensitivity of immobilization NPP on the filter paper is analyzed in digital image can be detect mercury (II) ion until the concentration of ppb. The results of measurement Limit of Detection (LOD) or limit the smallest NPP can detect mercury (II) ion is under 0.863 ppb, while liquid NPP able to detect only concentration 1.448 ppb.. The results of this research NPP immobilization on filter paper can be an alternative to increasingstability and sensitivity of NPP compared with liquid  NPP, and can be applied into the colourimetry indicator is inexpensive and practical to analysis of mercury (II) ion in the digital image.

Abstract

The presence of heavy metals in the environment can be a serious problem because it is harmful to human health. One of the heavy metal ions that pollute the environment is the Cr6+ metal ion. The usual tool used to analyze metal ions is Cr6+ is the Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) and Inductively Couple Plasma (ICP) which are very expensive and require trained personnel. The purpose of this study was to design a simple detector for Cr6+ metal ions as an alternative to conventional methods using AAS and ICP. The detection tool was developed using the android-based digital image method with SLR data analysis techniques obtained from the reaction of the metal ion complex Cr6 + with the compound dhypenilcarbazida (DPC). The parameters of the tool measured were accuracy, selectivity and sensitivity with the reaction of DPC compounds as complexes. The comparison level of this method is the complex method with DPC using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. This research was carried out in the Chemistry Laboratory FKIP UNIB in November 2018 until March 2019. The implementation of tool parameters was tested to samples of aquatic environments in Bengkulu City, namely PDAM Kota Bengkulu water, tap water of FKIP UNIB Dean, Lake UNIB water, Sungai Hitam water and water Pantai Panjang. The results showed that the detection of Cr6+ metal ions made by the android-based digital image method had better accuracy, selectivity and sensitivity than conventional methods. The DPC is selective for Cr6 + metal ions with a change in color from clear to violet, at a wavelength of 540 nm. Accuracy was checked using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer with 99% accurate results. After that, test sensitivity to Cr6 + metal ions. using the android application method generates a Limit of Detection (LOD) of 6.7 ppb. The detector that was developed was applied to water samples in the city of Bengkulu, it turned out that all of the water samples showed that the levels of Cr6+ metal ions were still below the threshold determined by the Minister of Health Regulation, so it was still safe to use in everyday life.

Abstract

[ANALYSIS OF Hg2+ USING NANOPARTIKEL METAL (NPP) AS A COLORIMETRY INDICATOR WITH SPECTRUMFOTOMETRY METHOD]. Mercury (Hg) is heavy metal with high toxicity that often pollutes the aquatic environment. Concentration of Hg (II) ions is usually determined by using ICP-MS and AAS but because its price relatively expensive an alternative is needed to determine concentration of Hg. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to conduct synthesis of silver nanoparticles (NPP) by utilizing extract of Phyllanthus acidus ceremin fruit as a colorimetric indicator for alternative analysis concentration of Hg metal in digital image. Bio NPP used as a colorimetric indikator of Hg metal in this study was synthesized at optimum condition. The optimum condition of Bio NPP synthesis was obtained on the ratio of extract volume of P. acidus  fruit and AgNO3 1: 1 and the duration of exposure to sunlight for 1 hour.The formed Bio NPP knew to be selective against Hg (II) metal ions characterized by the change of Bio NPP color from brownish yellow to clear. In addition, the Bio NPP that has been synthesized  in this study can be used as a colorimetric indicator of Hg metal analysis using spectrofotometer uv-vis with detection limit  7.56 ppb.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the differences in students’ critical thinking skill between class which use discovery learning and conventional learning in electromagnetic wave material. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design which was conducted in MAS 01 Darussalam Kepahiang. In non-equivalent control group design, the sample (was) not taken randomly but by purposive sampling technique. The research sample taken by the researcher consists of two classes,  (i.e.) the class XII A2 as an experimental class and the class XII A3 as a control class. Both classes were given a pretest to find out the students’ fundamental critical thinking skills and a posttest to find out the students' final critical thinking skills. This research was conducted in two meetings according to subchapters on electromagnetic wave material. Discovery learning model was applied in the experimental class with the steps of learning are stimulation, problem statement, data collection, data processing, verification, and generalization. The average value of critical thinking of the experimental class student was 65.7 and (the) control class was 48.12 with a value of sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 less than sig. α = 0.05. Based on the results, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in students’ ' critical thinking skills using the discovery learning model with the critical thinking skills of students using conventional learning.

Abstract

This research is to precieve the learning outcomes and student responses to the applied models and applications. The type of research carried out was experimental research using a one group pretest-posttest design with the research subjects were 29 students of the fifth semester of 2019/2020 academic year who took Capita Selecta Chemistry Course. The data collection technique was carried out by means of test techniques, namely learning outcomes as seen from the pretest and posttest scores, as well as non-test techniques as seen from observation, interview and student response questionnaires to the application used via google form. The t test was carried out with the help of the SPSS 23 program. Based on the research conducted, there was an increase in student learning outcomes from a value of 65.172 (pretest average score) to 84.586 (posttest average score). The N-Gain score of 0.557 is included in the moderate category, indicating that there is a significant increase in student's critical thinking skills using the PjBL model and the Edmodo application. The results of the student response questionnaire stated that only 48.28% of students liked learning using the online/edmodo application. 51.72% of students still like direct/face-to-face learning. As many as 96.55% of students considered the Edmodo application to provide a new atmosphere in capita selecta lectures. The response to the edmodo application and the project model used was very good. Students are enthusiastic about the edmodo application because it has complete, interesting and easy to learn features. Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model using the Edmodo application can be recommended to be applied by the lecture.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Analisis kebutuhan ini bertujuan untuk menentukan bahan ajar apa yang dibutuhkan pada materi teknologi ramah lingkungan di SMPN 24 Kota Bengkulu Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2022. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 32 siswa yang duduk dikelas IX. Instrumen penelitian berupa wawancara dan angket respons siswa yang terdiri dari 16 item pertanyaan mengenai kebutuhan LKPD terintegrasi desain mesin pakan berbasis sel surya sistem iot arduino yang terdapat 4 aspek yaitu aspek ketertarikan, aspek kesulitan, aspek analisis kebutuhan bahan ajar, aspek kemudahan, serta karakteristik metode pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di SMPN 24 Kota Bengkulu. Dari data yang diperoleh sebagian peserta didik setuju diperlukan adanya pengembangan LKPD.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze 1) the effect of PhET Gene Expression on students' conceptual understanding and 2) students' perceptions of the Gene Expression Essentials simulation. The research method used was Quasi Experiment with a quantitative approach. The research design used a one-group pretest-posttest design. In the treatment phase, students learned using gene expression simulations from PhET simulations. Data on students' understanding of concepts were obtained from tests and perceptions using a questionnaire. Data analysis used the t-test with the help of SPSS 23 and descriptively. The Paired sample t-Test analysis results showed that the significance was 0.000 <0.05. Students stated that PhET in motivation, effectiveness, benefits, and presentation had high interpretations. Based on the research that has been done, PhET Gene Expression Essentials influences students' understanding of concepts, and students respond positively to PhET Gene Expression Essentials.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep Fisika di Program Studi pendidikan Fisika Universitas PGRI Silampari sangat penting untuk mendukung bidang keahlian mereka dalam memahami materi yang lebih kompleks. Mata kuliah Mekanika terdiri dari berbagai macam konsep yang abstrak diantaranya pada materi Konversi Energi. Penggunaan program komputer seperti aplikasi PhET Simulasi sangat penting guna menjelaskan materi yang abstrak tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat minat belajar mahasiswa setelah diterapkan media PhET berbasis Saintifik dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif, dan analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif mengenai minat belajar setelah penerapan pembelajaran. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa semester III yang mengambil mata kuliah Mekanika di Program Studi pendidikan Fisika Universitas PGRI Silampari. Instrumen penelitian yaitu Angket Minat belajar yang berjumlah 20 pernyataan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari angket minat mahasiswa dengan nilai persentase 73,17 %, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa penerapan media PhET simulasi berbasis Saintifik pada materi Konversi Energi dapat membuat minat belajar mahasiswa tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa setelah pembelajaran menggunakan media PhET, minat belajar mahasiswa menjadi tinggi. Kata Kunci : Minat Belajar, Phet Simulasi, Konversi Energi.

Abstract

Dewasa ini, nanopartikel mendapatkan perhatian istimewa di kalangan para peneliti termasuk pemerhati lingkungan karena nanopartikel memiliki luas permukaan yang sangat besar sehingga bisa dimanfaatkan lebih lanjut untuk berbagai keperluan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat nanopartikel perak secara biosintesis menggunakan ekstrak buah anggur beserta aplikasinya sebagai pereaksi dalam mendeteksi logam berat berbahaya, khususnya merkuri (II). Buah anggur diekstraksi menggunakan air pada suhu 80°C. Setelah dicampur dengan prekursor perak nitrat, reaksi pembentukan nanopartikel perak dipercepat dengan memanfaatkan sinar matahari sebagai energi panas alami. Nanopartikel perak yang terbentuk memiliki puncak absorbansi pada panjang gelombang maksimum 420 nm, dan selektif terhadap ion merkuri (II), yang ditandai dengan berubahnya warna nanopartikel perak tersebut dari coklat kekuningan menjadi bening. Selanjutnya, kamera digital dimanfaatkan untuk menganalisis konsentrasi ion merkuri di dalam sampel. Keakuratan metode citra digital ditentukan dengan membandingkan hasil pengukurannya terhadap metode Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Secara umum, metode citra digital dengan nanopartikel perak sebagai reagen deteksi ion merkuri dapat digunakan dengan kinerja mumpuni. Konsentrasi ion Hg (II) dari sampel lingkungan yang dianalisis menggunakan metode yang dikembangkan ini berada di bawah ambang batas yang diperbolehkan oleh Permenkes RI No. 492 tahun 2010, sehingga air lingkungan yang dianalisis masih layak dipergunakan untuk kebutuhan rumah tangga.
