Abstract

This research aimed to determine the influence of the flipped classroom model on students learning outcomes on the chemistry subject, particularly on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. This research employed pre-experimental research and a one-group pre-test post-test design on one sample group. We used the method to compare pre-test and post-test results. This research was conducted in Public High School 9, Bengkulu City, Bengkulu Province, Indonesia. The population was 76 tenth graders of Mathematics and Natural Science Class. As many as 25 students of Class X-I were chosen as the samples using purposive sampling. The research instrument was pre-test and post-test, consisting of 10 questions to assess learning outcomes. We analyzed the average value of learning outcomes. The SPSS application was used to evaluate the normality, homogeneity, and hypotheses. The average pre-test score was 64.6, and the average post-test score was 87.8. Learning outcomes were normally and homogeneously distributed. The hypothesis testing produced a significance value of 0.000<0.05. Therefore, the flipped classroom model using a scientific approach and e-modules significantly affected the learning outcomes of the chemistry subject. The research result showed that the implementation of the flipped classroom model positively affected and improved the learning outcomes on the chemistry subject, particularly on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions.

Abstract

Gerakan literasi sekolah telah menjadi gerakan nasional Indonesia yang seimbang untukmenumbuhkan sikap budi pekerti luhur kepada anak-anak melalui keterampilan berbahasa, yaitu mendengarkan,berbicara, membaca, dan menulis melalui pembelajaraan sehingga menjadi pembiasaan. Cerita, dongeng, puisi,prosa, dan drama sebagai media literasi yang mengajarkan karakter hingga menguatkannya menjadi salah satualternatif membangun dan menyadarkan genenasi muda akan karakter yang baik. Media kreatif Storybirdmerupakan software komputer untuk mendesain dongeng digital dengan pilihan ilustrasi gambar yang sangatkaya. Guru dapat langsung memilih ilustrasi gambar yang diinginkan, tanpa perlu menjadi seseorang yang ahlidalam menggambar digital. Melalui ilustrasi gambar menjadikan siswa mudah memahami cerita, karena gambardapat mengkonkretkan hal-hal abstrak yang belum dipahami siswa. Tujuan kegiatan ini, yaitu (1) Meningkatkanketerampilan guru dalam penyusunan cerita rakyat Bengkulu melalui media kreatif Storybird untuk mendorongminat baca siswa SD; (2) Meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam menyusun media kreatif Storybirdmenanamkan karakter dan budi pekerti yang kuat bagi Siswa Sekolah Dasar. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di SDNegeri 08 Kota Bengkulu. Kegiatan ini telah menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan keterampilan guruSekolah Dasar dalam pembuatan buku cerita rakyat untuk mendukung pembelajaran di kelas. Hal iniditunjukkan dari sebagian besar guru-guru berhasil menyelesaikan proyek pembuatan buku cerita sesuai denganpanduan yang telah diberikan di modul.Kata Kunci: Guru, Sekolah Dasar, Buku Cerita, Storybird, Literasi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the education of environmental-care characters through the Mahira Garbage-Free Program at SD Alam Mahira Kota Bengkulu consisting of planning, implementing, and evaluating. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were elementary school students of Alam Mahira Kota Bengkulu. Techniques Data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is done by data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Testing the validity of data using, persistence, triangulation technique, source triangulation and member check. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) Planning phase of Mahira Garbage free program includes preparation of work program of Mahira Bebas Sampah, scheduling activity schedule, and budget funding and activity fund source. (2) The implementation of the Mahira Garbage free program uses a strategy of habituation through conditioning, routine, programmed, spontaneous and exemplary. Implemented programs include socialization of the importance of maintaining cleanliness, daily and monthly cleanliness, provision of hygiene facilities, separating organic and inorganic waste, and utilizing waste into more useful items. (3) Evaluation of Mahira-Free Program for the students of Alam Mahira elementary school that is integrated in attitude assessment in each student progress report card. The conclusion is that the education of the environment-care character of the Mahira-Free Garbage program through the stages of planning, implementation, and Assessment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of extracurricular scouting integrated standby earthquake disaster response skill alert for elementary school students in the city of Bengkulu. This research is a quantitative research. The research design used is The Matching Only Pretest-posttest Control Group Design, the population in this study all the scout participants in SD Negeri Kota Bengkulu. The selected research sample is SD Negeri 02 Kota Bengkulu as Experiment and SD Negeri 19 Kota Bengkulu as the control. The research instruments used are observation sheets given through pretest (before activity) and posttest (after activity). Data of this research are analyzed by using descriptive and inferential analysis that is t-test. From the research results it is known that the average value of experimental group posttest is 80 control group equal to 57.2. The result of t-test with tcount is 9,785 and ttabel 2,306. So thitung>ttable, so it can be concluded that there is an extracurricular influence of integrated scouting education on earthquake disaster preparedness to disaster response preparedness skills of elementary school students in BengkuluCity.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find out the effect of mangroves usage as the science sources toward the students attitude of caring for the environment (a case study at the fourth grade of elementary school in Bengkulu city). In term of methodology, the researcher used quantitative. Research design in this research used quasi experimental with kind of design using The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The subject of the research is the fourth grade students in Bengkulu city. The population is the whole elementary school whose still use KTSP as the curriculum. The test was given to experiment and control class. The questionnaire sheet which consist of declaration’s attitude was given at the pretest and posttest. This questionnaire sheet is used as the instrument of the research. The data was analysed using descriptive and inferential analysis which is uji-t. The result of the research showed that the average score of the students posttest from experiment and control class was 98,47 and 91,42. The result of uji-t with thitung 2,59and ttabel 2,005. Therefore thitung>ttabel, it can be concluded that the effect or the influence of mangroves usage as the science sources toward the students attitude of caring for the environment (a case study at the fourth grade of elementary school in Bengkulu city) is significant. It’s indicate that the election of study sources which contextual and the processing of the good study sources with persuasive message, also attractive for elementary students can be influential toward their attitude.

Abstract

This study aims to inventory the type of necton, knowing the structure of the necton community and measuring the critical thinking skills of students of class VII.1 SMPN 1 Ujan Mas Kepahiang. The results showed that the necton obtained from the Taman Pintar pond amounted to 7 species and Pipi Putih Pond totaling 4 species. The necton species in the Taman Pintar pond  with the highest KP, KS, and FK values are tin head fish with KP, KR, and FK values respectively  0.102 idv / m2, 75.71% and 83%. While on the Pipi Putih Pond is local catfish species with the value of KP, KR, FK of 0.01 idv / m2, 39.29% and 25%. Then dominance index (H ') in the Taman Pintar pond is 0.61 and C' Pipi Putih pond  = 0.76. While the index of diversity of necton species in both ponds also belonged to very low category with H’ value of Taman Pintar Pond = 0.28 and H' of Pipi Putih pond  = 0.17. The result of Percentage Of Agreement test showed that  environment-based learning tools developed are included in the category highly feasible to be tested. Students’ critical thinking ability on the perpormance aspect shows 33 ,3 % percentage including critically critical criteria and 66,7 % including critical criteria. While Students’ critical thinking ability on the cognitive aspect shows four criteria, that are very critical as 26 %, crittical criteria 40 %, criteria critical enough 27 % and  criteria less 7 %

Abstract

This study aims to describe the presentation of scientific literacy on the elements of knowledge and context in the Thematic book (9th theme : Menjelajah Angkasa Luar) for 6th grade elementary students. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive methods. This type of research is qualitative using descriptive methods. The subject of this research is the Thematic book (9th theme : Menjelajah Angkasa Luar) for 6th grade elementary students. The data collection techniques in this study were expert review sheets, documentation sheets and the results of the analysis of the Thematic book (9th theme : Menjelajah Angkasa Luar) for 6th grade elementary students. The data analysis technique in this research is qualitative data analysis. The results of the analysis show that the percentage of occurrences of the knowledge element indicator is 37.8%. The percentage of occurrences in the context element indicator is 40.73%. It can be ascertained that the emergence of scientific literacy indicators in basic knowledge is still low in the context element in the Thematic book (9th theme : Menjelajah Angkasa Luar) for 6th grade elementary students

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui materi pokok pengetahuan yang meliputi pengetahuan faktual, pengetahuan konseptual, pengetahuan prosedural dan pengetahuan metakognitif dalam buku Tematik IPA kelas 6 SD tema 6 Menuju Masyarakat Sejahtera dan tema 7 Kepemimpinan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif analisis. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis dimensi pengetahuan pada buku Tematik isi IPA mahasiswa dengan menggunakan lembar panduan analisis dimensi pengetahuan yang dianalisis oleh peneliti sendiri dan dua orang penilai adalah alumni Magister Sains. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dimensi pengetahuan dalam buku Tematik isi IPA siswa memiliki jumlah kemunculan yang berbeda-beda. Pada tema 6, pengetahuan faktual (30,55%), pengetahuan konseptual (41,67%), pengetahuan prosedural (5,56%), pengetahuan metakognisi (22,22%), munculnya pengetahuan konseptual dan yang terbesar adalah pengetahuan prosedural. Pada tema 7, pengetahuan faktual (15,62%), pengetahuan konseptual (18,75%), pengetahuan prosedural (28,12%), pengetahuan metakognitif (28,12%), kejadian terbesar adalah pengetahuan prosedural dan metakognisi dan terkecil adalah pengetahuan faktual.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of local content teaching material of Bengkulu flora conservation to the environmental caring attitude of grade V elementary school students in Bengkulu city. This type of research is a quantitative research with the design of The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sample in this research is VC students of SD Negeri 19 Bengkulu as an eskperimen class and students of VD SD Negeri 74 Bengkulu as control class. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire of environmental care attitude using Likert scale. Data of this research are analyzed by using inferential analysis that is t-pooled variance test. The result of inferential analysis using t-test shows that thitung (3.954) is bigger than ttable (2,000), so it can be concluded that there is significant effect of local content material of Bengkulu flora conservation on environmental caring attitude of grade V elementary school student in Bengkulu city.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas pembelajaran, sikap rasa ingin tahu, dan peduli lingkungan/kesehatan menggunakan model Discovery Learning. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) atau Classroom Action Research yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 3 siklus. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa yang mengikuti perkuliahan IPA Pendidikan Dasar semester I pada Prodi S-2 Pendidikan Dasar FKIP UNIB Tahun 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 33 mahasiswa. Instrumen penelitian lembar pengamatan (observation) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, sikap rasa ingin tahu, dan peduli lingkungan/kesehatan. Analisis data hasil observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, sikap rasa ingin tahu, dan peduli lingkungan/kesehatan dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil yang dicapai yaitu: (1) enam langkah pembelajaran menggunakan model diskoveri learning dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik. (2) persentase sikap rasa ingin tahu pada siklus I sebesar 53,54% meningkat menjadi 72,73% pada siklus II, dan meningkat menjadi 90,91% pada siklus III. (3) persentase sikap peduli lingkungan/kesehatan pada siklus I sebesar 57,58% meningkat menjadi 60,61% pada siklus II, dan meningkat menjadi 87,88% pada siklus III. Simpulan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan aktivitas pembelajaran, sikap rasa ingin tahu, dan peduli lingkungan/kesehatan mahasiswa S-2 Pendidikan Dasar FKIP Unib dalam perkuliahan IPA Pendidikan Dasar. Saran yang diberikan kepada guru dan atau peneliti selanjutnya sebagai berikut: (1) dalam menerapkan model Discovery Learning kunci utama dari sintaks adalah tahap stimulasi karena dapat berdampak pada efektifnya langkah diskoveri learning selanjutnya. (2) Kepada peneliti selanjutnya dan praktisi di SD disarankan menerapkan model diskoveri learning, karena dapat berkontribusi dalam mewujudkan tercapainya tujuan pendidikan IPA di Sekolah Dasar.
