Abstract

As if having to adapt to a new learning routine, namely the distance learning system. However, distance learning has not been effectively implemented due to many limitations, especially in remote, underdeveloped, and remote areas. This study aimed to describe the implementation of blended learning as an alternative learning method at SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu City during the Covid-19 pandemic, including inhibiting and supporting factors. The method used is a field research method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The technique for determining informants used purposive sampling with research informants from school principals, geography teachers, and students. Data analysis in qualitative research according to Miles & Huberman with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results of the study show that there are three stages of implementing blended learning, namely: the planning stage by designing learning objectives, preparing infrastructure, preparing learning schedules and face-to-face and online schedules, and compiling evaluation and socialization tools. The steps in carrying out online learning in an independent asynchronous manner, face to face in all subjects, especially learning geography. The stages of evaluating the learning system include teacher meeting activities with the school principal which are held once a month, and teacher and parent associations which are held once a semester. Compilation of Administrative Maps Using ArcGIS 10.3 Application The purpose of this research is to Manage/Record the coordinate points of boundaries, facilities, and village potential. The Tanjung Kuaw Village map has not been updated properly to find out the village boundaries, facilities, and village potential. Village boundaries aim to determine an administrative boundary between villages which is a coordinate point on the earth's surface in the form of natural signs and man-made elements that are outlined in the form of a map. The preparation of this administrative map starts from the basic data of the Village Map (SHP form), followed by aerial photographs obtained through the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to obtain data on Tanjang Kuaw Village covering an area of 959.39 Hectares. Visual interpretation and manual detection of aerial photography data of Tanjung Kuaw village is carried out to obtain information on village facilities and potential  (Interpretation is carried out using ArcGIS 10.3 application with a scale of 1: 5,000).

Abstract

The research was motivated because one of the X classes at SMAN 2 Bengkulu City, students are less active in participating in learning activities and is a class with a category of students who have problems in learning. it is known that the final assessment of semester 1 of the 2023/2024 school year in class X.8 geography subjects became the class with the lowest score in all X classes. The delivery of learning materials in the classroom still uses conventional methods, namely lecture and discussion methods, causing students to be less active and less interested in participating in geography learning activities. The purpose of the study was to improve the learning outcomes of students in class X.8 in geography subjects. Efforts made to improve student learning outcomes in geography subjects in class X.8 by using one of the learning media, namely video-based media. Video media is expected to attract students' attention, so that students are active in learning and more easily understand the material taught through visuals and audio displayed in video media. The method used in this research is class action research (PTK). Classroom action research was conducted in class X.8 with a total of 39 students. The classroom action research (PTK) was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage and reflection stage. The instruments used in this study are tests made by researchers in the form of post-test questions and observation sheets consisting of teaching activities of researchers and student activities and documentation. The findings obtained from this study by using video learning media students' activities and learning outcomes in geography class X.8 increased. In cycle I the class average reached 73 and students who reached the KKM 53.12%. In cycle II the class average reached 82.4 and students who reached the KKM 82.85%. So it can be said that in video-based learning activities there is an increase in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II reaching 29.6% in class X.8 SMAN 2 Bengkulu City.
