Abstract

Online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on the early reading ability of grade 1 elementary school students. Online learning that is carried out in full makes the teacher unable to find out why students are still not fluent in reading. The data found some students do not know the letters and how to pronounce them. The purpose of this study was to determine the initial reading ability of first graders at SDN Pasar Lama 1 Banjarmasin using a Montessori reading book. In addition, to determine the significant effect on learning to use Montessori reading books in improving early reading skills. This study uses an experimental method with t-test analysis. The results showed that the students' initial reading ability increased. The results of the t-test showed a value of 0,026 0.05, so it can be said that there was a significant difference in the students' initial reading ability who used Montessori reading books with students who studied without using Montessori reading books. Learning to use Montessori reading books has an effect on students' initial reading ability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru mengenai konsep pembuatan media pembelajaran inovatif 3D Popup Book dan mengaplikasikannya dalam materi pembelajaran di sekolah. Bimbingan teknis ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Pasar Lama 3 Banjarmasin. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, dan praktek pembuatan produk. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan bimbingan teknis adalah tingginya antusian, tingkat keaktifan dan kerjasama antaranggota kelompok. Selain itu, hasil pretest dan posttest menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pemahaman guru mengenai media 3D Popup Book dengan adanya kenaikan dari rerata pretest sebesar 56,5menjadi 81 dalam posttest.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) produce Montessori reading books and (2) reveal the effectiveness of Montessori reading books in learning to improve the reading skills of first-grade elementary school students. This research is research and development (RnD). The research subjects were students and teachers of grade 1 elementary school. Data was obtained through interviews and observation. The products developed are validated by experts, and initial reading skills are carried out to obtain the effectiveness of the book. Product effectiveness is tested through quasi-experiments. Data analysis techniques used an independent sample t-test with a significant level of 0.05. The results of this study are in the form of Montessori reading books. (1) The results of the expert validation assessment show that the books developed are appropriate according to material experts in the "very good" category, media experts in the "good" category, and linguists in the "very good" category. Teacher and student responses to Montessori books in learning are categorized as "very good". (2). The results of the effectiveness test indicated that the book was effective in improving beginning reading skills. Based on the results of operational field trials, the value of p 0.05 means that there is a significant difference in students who carry out the learning process using Montessori books.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low collaboration skills and mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Kelayan Timur 12 Banjarmasin. The study aims to describe teacher activities, analyze student activities, collaboration skills, and mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the BARAMEAN learning model, which combines Problem-Based Learning, Make a Match, and Game-Based Learning. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, each with two meetings. The subjects were 27 fifth-grade students (14 male and 13 female) in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively. The findings showed significant improvements in every observed aspect. Teacher activities increased from a score of 27 (good) in the first meeting to 36 (very good) in the fourth meeting. Student activities improved from 44% (quite active) in the first meeting to 93% (very active) in the fourth meeting. Collaboration skills rose from 56% (quite skilled) to 93% (very skilled). Meanwhile, student learning outcomes increased from 37% mastery in the first meeting to 93% in the fourth meeting, exceeding the classical completeness criteria. These results indicate that implementing the BARAMEAN model fosters active participation, enhances collaboration, and significantly improves mathematics learning outcomes. Thus, the BARAMEAN model can be an innovative and effective alternative for mathematics learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The problems that occur are low activity, speaking skills, and learning outcomes in Indonesian language content. The aim of this research is to describe educators' activities, analyze students' activities, speaking skills and learning outcomes. The approach used is qualitative with the PTK type of research carried out in 4 meetings and the subjects studied were class IV students at SDN Antar Baru 1 Marabahan. The results of this research show that the teacher's activities received a score of 100 with the criteria "Very Good". Student activity increased to 100% in the "All Active Students" category. Students' speaking skills increased to 100% with the criteria "All Students Are Skilled". Student learning outcomes increased by 100%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that using the PROLOG model can improve activity, speaking skills and learning outcomes.

Abstract

: Rendahnya keterlibatan siswa dalam Bahasa Indonesia berdampak pada belum optimalnya keterampilan membaca, berbicara, dan kerja sama di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan model PAASIAN berbantuan media Let's Read untuk peningkatan aktivitas guru, siswa, keterampilan membaca, berbicara, dan kerja sama. Penelitian menggunakan penelitian tipe kualitatif dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan selama empat pertemuan kepada 26 siswa kelas III SDN Karang Mekar 1 Banjarmasin. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskripsi dengan menggabungkan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pada seluruh aspek, antara lain aktivitas guru dari 62% menjadi 88%, aktivitas siswa dari 8% menjadi 81%, keterampilan membaca dari 8% menjadi 81%, keterampilan berbicara dari 8% menjadi 81%, serta keterampilan kerja sama dari 4% menjadi 92%. Temuan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model PAASIAN yang mengombinasikan Problem Based Learning (PBL), Think Pair Share (TPS), dan Discovery Learning (DL) berbantuan media Let's Read mampu membuat pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia lebih aktif, kolaboratif, dan berpusat ke siswa sehingga layak dijadikan alternatif pembelajaran murid di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Kegiatan pembelajaran yang monoton menjadi sebab rendahnya aktivitas belajar, keterampilan berbicara, kerja sama, dan berpikir kritis siswa sehingga mereka tidak menyerap pembelajaran dengan maksimal. Penelitian ini hadir untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta menganalisis keterampilan berbicara, kerja sama, dan berpikir kritis siswa dengan pengaplikasian model pembelajaran SENJA dan media Wordwall. Penelitian ini menyelenggarakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) sebanyak empat pertemuan pada siswa kelas V SDN Sungai Miai 4 Banjarmasin yang berjumlah 18 orang (8 orang laki-laki dan 10 orang perempuan) saat semester II tahun pelajaran 2026/2027. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan, angket, dan tes kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis kecenderungan cross. Hasil menunjukkan aktivitas guru meningkat “sangat baik” di akhir pertemuan, aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 50% menjadi 100%, keterampilan berbicara siswa meningkat dari 44% menjadi 100%, keterampilan kerja sama siswa meningkat dari 45% menjadi 100%, keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat dari 46% menjadi 100%, serta hasil belajar siswanmeningkat dari 11% menjadi 100%. Meningkatnya seluruh aspek tersebut membuktikan penelitian ini dapat berkontribusi sebagai pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan mengenai model pembelajaran inovatif dan berteknologi bagi penelitian selanjutnya, serta secara praktis dapat menjadi pilihan model ajar bagi guru di sekolah dasar.
