Abstract

The aim of this activity is to help provide understanding to the community and provide information and education about the importance of preserving environmental functions and preventing environmental damage as well as education about the importance of preventing stunting to all levels of community in Dusun Anyar Village in order to realize the Indonesian government's national goals in the stunting reduction program. in Indonesia. The activity method carried out is through outreach activities about environmental conservation and education about stunting. The activity was attended by 50 participants consisting of children, teenagers and adults. With the activities planned, it can help provide understanding to the community and provide information and education about the importance of preserving environmental functions and preventing environmental damage and preventing stunting. Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk memberikan arahan dan penjelasan akan maksud dan tujuan penggunaan , serta dampak dari penggunaan berbagai zat aditif pada makanan khususnya pada jajanan anak, kepada orang tua di lingkungan RT 013/RW 05 Kompleks Diknas Kelurahan surabaya kota Bengkulu melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Pelaksanaan Kegiatan dilaksanakan bertempat di rumah warga dan dihadiri sebanyak 16 warga peserta dari RT013/RW05 kompleks Diknas Surabaya Kota Bengkulu .Metode Pelaksanaan kegiatan yang diterapkan adalah berupa pemberian penyuluhan dan informasi dengan materi mengenai hal zat aditif, zat aditif pada makanan jajanan anak, zat aditif yang diperbolehkan dan yang dilarang, dan dampak serta akibat konsumsi dari zat aditif terlarang. Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan telah berhasil dengan baik dan dirasakan sangat berguna yang dapat dilihat dari umpan balik dari peserta pada angket yang dibagikan dan diisi oleh seluruh peserta setelah selesai mengikuti pelatihan yang diberikan, dimana setelah para peserta mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan ini, mereka sangat merasakan manfaat kegiatan, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan minat mereka untuk mengikuti acara serupa di waktu yang akan datang.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of understanding of learning models by chemistry teachers of public high schools in Bengkulu City with a descriptive research type using a quantitative approach survey method. The sample in this study were all chemistry teachers of public high schools in Bengkulu City and was conducted from June to September 2025 using a closed questionnaire as the research instrument. The results showed that the level of understanding of learning models by chemistry teachers of public high schools in Bengkulu City was in the moderate category with an average score of 85.03, this indicates that chemistry teachers have understood the basic concepts of learning models quite well, but the understanding is not yet in-depth in every sub-aspect of the learning process. This condition shows that chemistry teachers still need reinforcement in understanding learning models so that their implementation in the classroom can take place more optimally.   Keywords: Learning model, Level of Understanding, Chemistry teacher

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Pop Up Box media on students’ learning outcomes in the topic of Atomic Models in Grade X at SMA Negeri 10 Bengkulu City. The method used in this research was a quasi-experimental design involving two groups. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, with class XA serving as the experimental group and class XB as the control group. The research instruments included a learning achievement test Data analysis using the Mann–Whitney test yielded a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.001 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in the learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. This also suggests that the treatment given to the experimental class had an effect on students’ learning outcomes. The results showed that classical mastery learning had not yet been achieved, with a mastery percentage of 45.2%. This condition indicates that the use of Pop Up Box media was not yet fully effective, but it had a positive influence on improving students’ learning outcomes and motivation during the learning process. Overall, the Pop Up Box media can serve as an interesting and appropriate alternative learning medium to help students understand abstract concepts in chemistry. Further development in media design and the application of more varied learning strategies are needed to optimize learning outcomes.
