Abstract

This study aimed to see the comparison of blowing bubbles and blowing bamboo blades to the respiratory frequency of children with asthma in the Edelweiss Room, DR. M. Yunus Bengkulu Year 2019. The research design used was a quasi-experimental research. The univariate analysis results showed that the average respiratory rate before and after doing super bubble blow therapy was in the moderate category (26.91) and after the intervention was in the medium type (25.30). The average respiratory frequency before and after blowing the bamboo propeller was moderate (26.69) and light (24.81). The bivariate analysis results showed that there was an effect of blowing bubbles on respiratory frequency in children with a value of p = 0.000, and there was an effect of blowing bamboo propellers on respiratory frequency in children with asthma with a value of p = 0.007. In conclusion, there is no difference in superbubbles blowing therapy's effectiveness by blowing bamboo propellers in children with asthma. Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between stress levels and the online learning system for the Muhammadiyah Bengkulu University Nursing Study Program students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method was analyzed univariately by looking at the frequency distribution and bivariate analysis using the Kendal tau-b correlation test. The results showed a correlation between stress levels and the online learning system of 0.648 with a strong relationship and the direction of the positive correlation and the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.005. In conclusion, there is a relationship between stress levels and online learning systems for the Bengkulu Muhammadiyah University Nursing Science Study Program students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of providing education using video media and booklets on the motivation and attitudes of parents in caring for toddlers with gastroenteritis. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a non-pretest-posttest design. The study's results found a difference in the average score of parents' motivation and attitudes in caring for toddlers with gastroenteritis before and after providing education. In the video media group ρ motivational value (0.01) and perspective (0.00), in the booklet media group with ρ motivational value (0.02) and attitude (0.00), and the video media and booklet combination group with ρ motivational value (0.00) and perspective (0.00). In conclusion, there is a significant effect of the use of educational media on increasing the average score of parents' motivation and attitudes in caring for toddlers with gastroenteritis. The combination of education using video media and booklets gave more effective results than other educational groups. Keywords: Booklet, Video Media, Motivation, Health Education, Attitude

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the FTS intervention affects the baby's pain response when DPT immunization is given at the Community Health Center. This type of research is pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results of the study showed that the frequency of responses to pain in babies before treatment was the highest, namely seven babies with a pain scale of 3, a percentage of 46.7% in the moderate pain category, the frequency of responses to pain in babies after treatment was the highest, six babies with a pain scale of 2, percentage 40% with the mild category. At the same time, the results of the bivariate analysis show that the p-value is 0.000 < 0. In conclusion, family triple support intervention has a significant effect on the baby's pain response when DPT immunization is given at the Community Health Center. Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of modified nebulizer therapy and guided imagery on respiratory frequency in patients with status asthmaticus. The research design used in this study was quite experimental in one intervention group. The study population was patients with status asthmaticus who were experiencing attacks of status asthmaticus. The population size in this study was 40 respondents. The research sample of 40 people was selected using total sampling. The independent variable in this study was a combination of nebulizer therapy and Guided Imagery, while the dependent variable was a decrease in respiratory frequency in patients with status asthmaticus. The results of the study showed that p-value = 0.02, with 0.02 < 0.05 meaning that there was an effect of the combination of nebulizer therapy and guided imagery on reducing respiratory frequency in patients with asthmatic status in the emergency room at M. Yunus Hospital, Bengkulu City. In conclusion, a combination of nebulizer therapy and guided imagery reduces respiratory frequency in patients with asthmatic status in the emergency room at M. Yunus Hospital, Bengkulu City. Keywords: Respiratory Frequency, Guided Imagery, Nebulizer, Status Asmaticus.
