Abstract

Abstrak: Latar belakang: Masa balita merupakan pertumbuhan dasar yang akan mempengaruhi dan menentukan perkembangan anak selanjutnya. Pada usia ini otak anak mengalami pertumbuhan yang sangat pesat yang dikenal dengan istilah Masa Emas (The Golden Age). Golden age merupakan masa yang sangat penting untuk memperhatikan tumbuh kembang anak secara cermat agar sedini mungkindapat terdeteksi apabila terjadi kelainan. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh di RA/KBIT Siti Khodijah Slawi terdapat 24 siswa yang berusia 3-4 tahun, 67 siswa yang berusia 4-5 tahun dan 91 siswa yang berusia 5-6 tahun. Tujuan: Meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang pemantauan perkembangan pada anak, Memberikan edukasi tentang metode skrining perkembangan anak dengan metode DDST, Melakukan pemantauan perkembangan terhadap anak dengan metode DDST. Metode: Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat dengan menggunakan pengukuran DDST (Denver Development Screening Test) di RA/KBIT Siti Khodijah Slawi dilaksanakan pada hari Selasa, Tanggal 25 Februari 2020. Hasil: Hasil Pemeriksaan DDST yang dilakukan pada 125 anak didapatkan hasil keseluruhan adalah 121 anak (96,8%) dinyatakan normal, 3 anak (2,4%) mengalami perkembangan suspect dan 1 anak (0,8%) tidak dapat dites. Tumbuh kembang anak secara menyeluruh dapat diamati dari gerak kasar (motorik kasar), gerak halus (motorik halus), kemampuan bicara, bahasa, bersosialisasi, kemandirian. Kesimpulan: Dengan adanya guru RB/KB IT yang terlatih diharapkan kegiatan deteksi dini perkembangan anak dapat berjalan secara rutin sehingga perkembangan anak menjadi tanggung jawab bersama antara orang tua dan guru. Guru diharapkan  dapat memperhatikan perkembangan anak didiknya dengan cara menstimulasi pada 4 aspek perkembangan, yaitu personal sosial, adaptif-motorik halus, bahasa, dan motorik kasar agar perkembangan anak dapat mencapai optimal.Abstract: Background: Childhood is a basic growth that will influence and determine the child's subsequent development. At this age, the child's brain experiences very rapid growth known as the Golden Age. The Golden age is a very important time to pay close attention to the child's growth and development so that as early as possible it can be detected if abnormalities occur. Based on data obtained at RA/KBIT Siti Khodijah Slawi, there were 24 students aged 3-4 years, 67 students aged 4-5 years and 91 students aged 5-6 years. Objective: The socialization can improve teacher knowledge about monitoring the children development, provide education about screening methods by DDST method, and conduct monitoring the development of children with the DDST method. Method: Implementation of community service use Detection of Child Development with DDST (Denver Development Screening Test) scale at RA/KBIT Siti Khodijah Slawi was held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Results: Results of DDST examination conducted on 125 children showed that overall results were 121 children (96.8%) declared normal, 3 children (2.4%) experienced development suspect and 1 child (0.8%) could not be tested. The whole child development can be observed from gross motion, fine motion, speech ability, language, socializing, and their independence. Conclusion: With the presence of RB/KB IT teachers, it is expected that early detection of the children development activities can be carried out routinely so that it is a shared responsibility between parents and teachers. Teachers are expected to pay attention to the students’ development by stimulating 4 aspects of development, namely personal social, adaptive-fine motor, language, and gross motor skills so that children's development can reach optimal levels.

Abstract

Helping the government to solve TB disease, the community service team organized community service activities by providing material about TBC Toss. The activity was carried out on May 27, 2024 in Grogolan Hamlet, Jatimulya Village, Suradadi District, Tegal Regency. This activity provides education to the public related to the Toss TBC program from the government so that people avoid TB disease. The activity is to expose TBC Toss material, lung examination, and correct cough Ethics. The enthusiasm of the community was very pronounced, shown by the many people who asked the dedication team. With this education, it is expected that the incidence of tuberculosis in Tegal Regency can decrease.

Abstract

Background: Stroke is the second highest cause of death in the world and the highest cause of disability in the world. The 2018 RISKESDAS results showed that the prevalence of stroke cases in Indonesia was 10.9%. Stroke has a lot of impact on patients and their families. Progressive muscle relaxation therapy is one of the therapies that can be used to increase the muscle strength of the elderly after a non-hemorrhagic stroke by relaxing and tensing the body’s muscles. Purpose: The study aimed to apply progressive muscle relaxation therapy to increase muscle strength in the elderly after a non-hemorrhagic stroke. Method: The study was descriptive research with a case study approach. The subjects were the elderly after a non-hemorrhagic stroke. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, physical examinations, and documentation studies. Result: Before applying the therapy, the patients’ muscle strength value was 3; the patients’ hand grip was weak. After doing the therapy for 3 days, the patients’ muscle strength was still 3, but the patients’ hand grip felt tight. Conclusion: The elderly people after non-hemorrhagic stroke are recommended to do progressive muscle relaxation therapy once a day with a duration of 15-20 minutes to stimulate the muscles so that it can increase their muscle strength.

Abstract

Background: Hospitalization anxiety in children is quite large (60-80%), this is happen if a children had experienced unpleasant events. Hospitalization anxiety needs to be a special concern for health workers because this problem can interfere with the child's growth and development, the healing process and worsen the child's condition. Storytelling therapy for children has many benefits for developing imagination, empathy, establishing closeness, fostering interest in reading and becoming a medium of learning for children. Objective: This research aims to describe the process of providing story telling therapy to preschool aged in anxiety of hospitalization. Method: This study used a case study research design with 2 child patient subjects. The Visual Facial Anxiety Scale (VFAS) measured children's anxiety. This research was conducted in children's rooms at Kardinah Regional Hospital Tegal City. Results: Both research subjects experienced a decrease in hospitalization anxiety. Subject 1 experienced "moderate" became "none" anxiety scale. Subject 2 experienced "moderate high" became "mild" anxiety scale.

Abstract

Covid-19 merupakan penyakit yang penyebarannya sangat cepat sekarang ini. Penyakit ini tidak hanya menyerang orang dewasa tetapi juga bisa terjadi pada anak. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anak tentang upaya pencegahan penularan COVID-19 pada anak, khususnya di Rumah Yatim Kota Tegal. Edukasi yang diberikan dengan mengajarkan anak tentang cara suci tangan yang baik dan benar sesuai aturan WHO merupakan salah satu upaya mencegah resiko penularan COVID-19 dan membantu anak memahami salah satu perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS). Strategi lain yang dapat digunakan orang pada umumnya untuk mengontrol penularan infeksi pernafasan COVID-19 dengan menggunakan masker. Penggunaan masker ini bertujuan untuk menghindari percikan/droplet dari penderita yang tanpa disadari atau tanpa gejala bisa menularkan ke orang lain. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi orang tua/pengasuh untuk terus meningkatkan kesadaran tentang cuci tangan dan selalu menggunakan masker untuk melindungi diri dari COVID-19, sehingga anak bisa melakukannya secara mandiri dengan penuh kesadaran. Pengasuh berperan sebagai pembimbing dalam penerapan kebiasaan-kebiasaan untuk melindungi diri dari penularan COVID-19.

Abstract

Virus corona dapat dengan mudah menyebar dan menginfeksi siapapun tanpa pandang usia. Upaya pemutusan rantai penyebaran covid-19 memerlukan pemahaman dan pengetahuan yang baik dari seluruh elemen masyarakat. Pengetahuan tentang penyakit juga diberikan pada semua rentang usia masyarakat termasuk pada anak-anak yang salah satunya pada anak usia dini. Anak usia dini memiliki rentang usia yang sangat berharga dibandingkan usia-usia selanjutnya karena perkembangan kecerdasan yang sangat pesat. Dalam menyampaikan informasi kepada anak usia dini, para guru memerlukan media pembelajaran atau materi sehingga informasi yang disampaikan dengan mudah dipahami oleh anak. Media Booklet merupakan salah satu media pembelajaran berupa media cetak yang kategorinya masuk dalam media visual karena isinya berupa foto atau gambar dan tulisan sehingga anak akan banyak menggali informasi dari Booklet tersebut. Kegiatan penyuluhan diikuti oleh 24 anak siswa TK B (usia 5-6 tahun) dan diawali dengan penyampaian tentang penyakit covid-19 dengan media booklet meliputi definisi, tanda & gejala serta pencegahannya, serta demonstrasi cuci tangan dan cara pakai masker yang benar. Para siswa TK menyimak dengan baik materi yang dijelaskan dengan memperhatikan gambar dan tulisan yang tercantum pada booklet yang diberikan. Pengunaan booklet covid-19 dapat membantu meningkatkan pemahaman anak terkait penyakit covid-19.

Abstract

Perkembangan tehnologi yang semakin modern mengubah perilaku masyarakat dalam mengatasi keluhan kesehatan. Swamedikasi saat merasakan keluhan kesehatan meningkat seiring dengan kemudahan akses terhadap informasi tentang pengobatan. Swamedikasi akan aman jika dilakukan sesuai dengan aturan, namun pada kenyatannya banyak perilaku swamedikasi yang tidak aman di masyarakat, termasuk yang terjadi pada mitra. Perilaku swamedikasi yang tidak aman disebabkan oleh pengetahuan yang kurang sehingga perlu ada sosialisasi swamedikasi pada mitra. Sosialisasi dengan tema “Gema Cermat” dalam menggunakan sediaan obat telah dilakukan di kelompok ibu PKK di desa Lebaksiu Kidul, Kabupaten Tegal. Pendidikan kesehatan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan menggunakan leaflet untuk menjelaskan terkait: jenis sediaan obat modern, jenis sediaan obat tradisional, perilaku swamedikasi yang tepat, serta kemampuan mengenali keamanan obat melalui cek label dan BPOM. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menilai pengetahuan mitra melalui penilaian pre-post test. Hasil dari penilaian pengetahuan adalah terdapat peningkatan rerata pengetahuan dibandingkan dengan sebelum pendidikan kesehatan (pre test 20,75 dan post test 31,05).

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a hypertensive disorder in pregnancy. This situation can be pregnancy emergency if this don’t received proper treatment, which is bring a risk for the mother and her fetus. This risk can be continue in birthing period and the postpartum period. The preeclampsia’s signs likes hypertension and proteinuria is a frequently encountered. Other signs of symptoms include edema (especially on the face and around the eyes and hands), weight gain, nauseous and vomiting, stomach pain spreads to the upper limbs, headaches and visual disturbances (blurred vision), tachypnea and anxiety. In community, Edema in pregnant usually considered common and commonplace, however this is sign of preeclampsia. Health education about getting a pregnancy check-up at the health service needs. This community dedication service aims to increasing the knowledge of pregnant women about the signs, symptoms and prevention of preeclampsia and it is hoped that they can prevent this at the start of pregnancy, so the mother and baby are healthy. The counseling method have be used, the sub topic are the signs, symptoms and prevention of preeclampsia. Counseling participants were pregnant women in the Lebaksiu Kidul area, Tegal Regency.

Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities are unable to follow regular school programs, but they possess abilities that can be developed through education, which includes determining appropriate service programs based on the needs and conditions of children with intellectual disabilities. According to data from the 2018 Basic Health Research, the province of Central Java has 20,150 children with disabilities aged 5-17 years. A preliminary study conducted by the researcher at SLB N Slawi found that there were 307 students with disabilities. Gross motor skills involve activities or tasks that require coordination of muscles and nerves. The game of hopscotch can help children practice moving their bodies, improve agility, and enhance dexterity during play. The purpose of this research is to examine the implementation of playing hopscotch to develop gross motor skills in school-age children with moderate intellectual disabilities. This research is descriptive with a case study approach and has been reviewed through an ethical test. Data were collected through interviews, observation, physical examinations, and documentation. The TMGD (Test of Gross Motor Development) instrument and observation sheets were used. After the intervention, conducted 3 times with 30-minute sessions, the results showed effectiveness in the form of improvements in gross motor skills after each hopscotch therapy session. The TMGD instrument and observation sheets were used for measurement. Children with moderate intellectual disabilities are advised to engage in hopscotch therapy once a day for 30 minutes.
