Abstract

The function of Public Relations is very important in shaping public opinion, especially regarding sensitive issues such as LGBTQ+ equality. Since the representation and rights of the LGBTQ+ community are often still limited and biased in the media and society, it is important to examine further how public Relations can support advocacy for these communities. This study aims to investigate Public Relations strategies and actions that support LGBTQ+ equality and assess how effective they are in increasing the positive image of the LGBTQ+ community in the media and general public. This research focuses on identifying Public Relations actions that assist in accepting and respecting LGBTQ+ rights. The research methods used are quantitative and qualitative. This method was chosen for data collection and analysis involving interviews, media content analysis related to the LGBTQ+ equality campaign, and surveys regarding public perceptions of the campaign. The results of this research show that inclusive and educational communication strategies from Public Relations can increase awareness and support for LGBTQ+ issues. Campaigns that highlight personal stories, collaborations with influencers, and advocacy activities are effective in creating a more inclusive and empathetic dialogue in society. This research concludes that Public Relations plays a crucial role in supporting LGBTQ+ equality through effective and inclusive communication approaches. Strong collaboration between Public Relations practitioners, the media, and the LGBTQ+ community is needed to expand LGBTQ+ representation and rights. Public Relations serves as an important intermediary to promote better understanding and social acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community

Abstract

This study aims to develop a local wisdom-based da’wah communication strategy to minimize social conflicts in the Muslim community of Aceh. The background of this research stems from the importance of da’wah communication in solving social issues, particularly in communities with strong local wisdom, such as Aceh. The methodology used in this study is library research, collecting and analyzing relevant literature on da’wah communication, local wisdom, and social dynamics in Aceh. The research results show that the integration of Islamic values with local traditions, such as deliberation and the Mukim Customary Law, can enhance the effectiveness of da’wah in creating social harmony. The active role of local leaders, both religious and customary figures, is a determining factor for the success of this strategy. This research contributes significantly to developing contextual and sustainable da’wah approaches, offering a model that can be applied in other regions facing similar social challenges.

Abstract

Tasawuf, Tawhid and Fiqh (TASTAFI) is a religious organization proclaimed by one of the dayah clerics, namely Teungku Hasanoel Bashry or now more popularly known as Abu MUDI, where this tastafi religious organization has been organized at the central level and the administrators have also been appointed. on the night of April 17 2018 in the courtyard of the Banda Aceh Grand Mosque which was also attended by the Governor of Aceh, the Mayor of Banda Aceh, Members of the Aceh Representative Council, Members of the Banda Aceh City Representative Council and other Acehnese community leaders. The Tastafi religious organization comes with a different feel from other organizations, where all the organization's administrators are dayah leaders in Aceh and this organization has received an extraordinary response and appreciation from the Acehnese people. This tastafi religious organization has been formed at the central, district/city level, there are even several sub-districts that have formed this organization. The purpose of establishing the Tastafi religious organization is to provide religious studies and studies, da'wah to the community by conveying and grounding the teachings of Tasawuf, Tawhid and Fiqh (TASTAFI) based on Ahlusunnah wal Jamaah, and protecting places of religious education such as dayah, recitation halls, taklim assemblies, religious councils. remembrance and society from heretical teachings, liberalism, secularism and radicalism, as well as realizing a civil society life order.

Abstract

Political Communication of Aceh’s Dayah Ulama in the 2024 Regional Elections in Bireuen District. This study examines the role and political communication strategies of dayah ulama in Bireuen District during the 2024 Regional Elections (Pilkada). Dayah ulama hold a strategic position as influential religious figures in shaping public opinion and determining the political support of the community. The study aims to understand the communication patterns employed by dayah ulama in conveying political messages, the main issues they advocate, and their influence on voter behavior. Using qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to capture the phenomenon comprehensively. The findings reveal that dayah ulama prioritize religious values, justice, and social welfare in their political messages and education. The communication strategies implemented include the use of religious study forums (pengajian), sermons (khutbah), and social media to expand their audience reach. The role of dayah ulama in the 2024 Pilkada extends beyond merely supporting specific candidates; they also act as guardians of political morality within the community. This study provides insights into the relationship between religion and politics as well as the relevance of dayah ulama in local political dynamics.
