Abstract

Power-point learning is learning that uses slides by displaying images, videos, photos, and animations in delivering material to make it more interesting to increase student learning activity. This research aims to see the level of use of PowerPoint learning media and students' active learning. The results of this research show that there is a significant relationship between the use of PowerPoint learning media and students' active learning with the mean (Sig = .000 ≥ α = 0.05). This research is quantitative descriptive correlative, mean score, and Spearman test. Then the sampling technique used the convenience sampling method. The instrument used was a questionnaire adapted from Rudi (2014) and Suardi (2019). The population of this study was 127 students from Advent Unklab Middle School class VIII who were registered in the 2021-2022 academic year. The results of this research found that the level of use of PowerPoint learning media and students' active learning were in the high category.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the demonstration method on student learning outcomes in the digestive system material for class XI high school science. The independent variable in this research is the demonstration method while the dependent variable is the learning outcomes. This research was carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Ratahan with a population of all SMA N 1 Ratahan students. The sample for this research was class XI IPA2 as the experimental class and XI IPA1 as the control class. The null hypothesis (H0) in this research is that there is no influence of the demonstration method on learning outcomes, while the working hypothesis (H1) in this research is that there is an influence of the demonstration method on learning outcomes. This research succeeded in showing that there was a significant influence of the demonstration method on student learning outcomes in the digestive system material in the experimental class, whereas in the control class, there was no significant influence. Based on the t-test analysis with a significance level of 0.05, t-count was obtained with a value of 13.7 and table with a value of 2.10, t-count > t-table.

Abstract

The world of education and teaching is a part that cannot be separated from technological devices and the internet, educators utilizing this technology is very helpful for learning development. Therefore, this study aims to determine the utilization of Youtube as a video-based learning media. To find out the extent to which this video-based learning media is utilized, a survey was conducted to 50% of teachers who teach at high schools in Solok City by giving a questionnaire about the utilization of Youtube as a video-based learning media at the school. This type of research was conducted using descriptive quantitative. And the object of this research is educators and students at high schools in Solok City. And this data collection technique uses observation techniques using online questionnaires and online-based in-depth interviews. The results of this study are to find out if Youtube as a video-based learning media is very helpful for educators in learning development.

Abstract

This research aims to determine how high the level of parental role and student learning independence is and whether there is a significant relationship between the role of parents and student learning independence. The results obtained show that to find out what level of role parents play in students, the statistical test results mean (M) = 4.27. From these results it can be seen that the role of parents for class V students at Airmadidi Private Elementary School is in the high category, meaning parents carry out their role well. Next, to find out the level of student learning independence in class, using statistical tests and obtaining a mean value (M) = 3.95, it can be interpreted that the level of student learning independence is classified in the high category, meaning students can independently carry out the tasks they get from school, and finally, namely to find out whether there is a significant relationship between the role of parents and students' learning independence in class V of Airmadidi Private Elementary School. The number of respondents in this study was 50 students and the correlation test results obtained between the role of parents and student learning independence were p value = 000 ≤ 0.05, indicating a relationship between the role of parents and student learning independence. Therefore, the hypothesis which states that there is no significant relationship between the role of parents and the learning independence of class V students at Airmadidi Private Elementary School, is rejected.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dan prestasi belajar siswa SD. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif-korelatif yang pengambilan datanya dilakukan menggunakan convenience sampling method di salah satu SD swasta di Kota Manado. Untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua dan prestasi belajar siswa digunakanlah analisis pearson correlation. Untuk mengetahui tingkat pola asuh orang tua dan prestasi belajar siswa digunakan analisis rerata score. Hasil analisis yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pola asuh orang tua dan prestasi belajar siswa adalah tinggi. Selain itu, hasil utama penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua dan prestasi belajar siswa Kata kunci— pola asuh orang tua, prestasi belajar

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study investigates the extent of teachers’ instructional strategies, the level of students’ academic (skill) achievement, and the relationship between the two among children with special needs in special schools across North Sulawesi. Methodology: Employing a quantitative, descriptive-correlational research design, the study was conducted during the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. A total of 95 teacher respondents from 12 special education schools were selected through total population sampling. Data were collected using a validated Likert-scale questionnaire, and the results were analyzed using correlation analysis to determine the strength and significance of the relationship between instructional strategies and student achievement. Main Findings: Findings reveal that teachers demonstrate a consistently high level of instructional strategies. Specifically, the mean scores were as follows: understanding of students’ characteristics (M = 4.50), fulfilling roles as educators, instructors, mentors, and content deliverers (M = 4.57), and efforts in fostering creativity (M = 4.63). In terms of student academic (skill) achievement, the mean score was 4.46, suggesting a high level of learning outcomes among students with special needs. Most notably, the study found a statistically significant and strong correlation between teachers’ instructional strategies and students’ academic achievement, indicating that effective pedagogical approaches directly influence skill development in special education contexts. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study lies in its focus on the nuanced relationship between instructional strategies and skill-based achievement within the under-researched demographic of special needs learners in Eastern Indonesia.

Abstract

Guru memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan prestasi akademik siswa. Kajian literatur komprehensif ini mengkaji peran multidimensional guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa melalui analisis studi nasional dan internasional. Penelitian kualitatif dengan desain systematic literature review digunakan, menganalisis 45 publikasi peer-review periode 2014-2025. Data dianalisis menggunakan metodologi sintesis tematik meliputi ekstraksi data, coding tematik, dan sintesis interpretatif. Hasil mengidentifikasi enam peran utama guru: motivator (89% studi), fasilitator (82%), evaluator (76%), pembimbing (71%), inovator (60%), dan kolaborator (44%). Umpan balik konstruktif menunjukkan effect size terbesar terhadap motivasi belajar (d = 0.73) dan prestasi akademik (d = 0.68). Hubungan guru-siswa menunjukkan pengaruh substansial pada aspek afektif dibandingkan hasil pembelajaran kognitif. Penelitian berkontribusi mengembangkan kerangka teoretis yang mengintegrasikan Academic Optimism Theory dengan Self-Determination Theory. Temuan mengindikasikan perlunya program pelatihan guru komprehensif meliputi kompetensi pedagogis, teknologis, dan relasional. Penelitian masa depan perlu fokus pada studi longitudinal dan pendekatan mixed-methods untuk memahami dinamika perubahan peran guru dalam paradigma pendidikan yang berkembang.
