Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyse correlation of Body Mass Index, fat and natrium intake with the incident of hypertension in adult in Jombang, East Java. The research method using the analytical survey with cross sectional design. The number of subjects in the research are 74 persons that can be using cluster technique sampling. The data retrieval that by doing measures of blood pressure, height, weight, and interview the intake of eating using form SQ-FFQ, and biavriate analysis using chi-square test. The result analysis of correlation BMI with the incident of hypertension obtained p-value=0.034 and OR=4.85, correlation analysis between fat intake with the incident of hypertension obtained p-value=0.438, and corretaion analysis sodium intake with the incident of hypertensionobtained p-value=0.000 and OR=115.5. The concludes of study there was correlation between BMI and sodium intake with the incident of hypertension, but there wasn’t correlation between fat intake with the incident of hypertension. Keywords: Fat intake, sodium intake, hypertension, body mass index ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Indeks Massa Tubuh, asupan lemak, dan asupan natrium dengan kejadian hipertensi di Desa Japanan Kecamatan Gudo Kabupaten Jombang. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode survei analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian adalah 74 orang yang didapat dengan menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Pengambilan data yaitu dengan melakukan pengukuran tekanan darah, tinggi badan, berat badan, dan wawancara asupan makan menggunakan form SQ-FFQ, dan analisis bivariat dilakukan menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil analisis hubungan IMT dengan kejadian hipertensi didapatkan nilai p=0,034 dan OR=4,85, analisis hubungan asupan lemak dengan kejadian hipertensi didapatkan nilai p=0,438, dan analisis hubungan asupan natrium dengan kejadian hipertensi didapatkan nilai nilai p=0,000 dan OR 115,5. Keseimpulan dari penelitian adalah ada hubungan IMT dan asupan natrium dengan kejadian hipertensi, namun tidak ada hubungan asupan lemak dengan kejadian hipertensi. Abstract

This study aims to was used to analyze the effect of substitution of Moringa oleifera and milkfish bones on the sensory evaluation and nutritional content of instant noodles with the best formula. This study design was Eksperimental with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). There are four (4) comparative concentration treatments (control, 3:1, 2:2, and 1:3) which were carried out by hedonic tests of untrained panelists and children, then the best formula instant noodles are tested for nutritional content in the laboratory. The sampling technique used simple random sampling as many as 30 mothers of children under five and their toddlers who met the inclusion criteria. Analysis of sensory evaluation data used the statistical Kruskal-Wallis test with the further test Mann-Whitney, while the analysis of the nutrient content data used a different test (T-Test for carbohydrates, protein, calcium, iron, water, and Mann-Whitney for fat). Overall the results of the hedonic test of the parameters of color, flavor, taste, texture, and acceptance of instant noodles as a whole had a real or significant difference between the control and substitution formulas with a significant value of p≤0.05. The best formula from the hedonic test results was the F2 formula (substitution of Moringa oleifera and milkfish bones 2:2). The test results for the nutritional content of carbohydrates, protein, fat, calcium, iron, and water content also differed significantly between the control formula and the best formula (F2) with a significant value of p≤0.05. The conclusion of this study is there was an effect of substitution of Moringa oleifera and milkfish bones on sensory evaluation and nutritional content of instant noodles.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to increase knowledge and awareness of the administration of exclusive breastfeeding and provide assistance to severe malnutrition and stunting toddlers with nutrition education and counseling methods. This research method used quasi-experimental study. The study was conducted in two stages, first stage was the collection of basic data and then interventions according to the causes of the problems found. The subject of this study were 45 toddlers, 11 pregnant women and 15 breastfeeding mothers who had infants less than 6 months. The results showed that after conducting education and counseling for three weeks, there was an increase in the knowledge of pregnant and breastfeeding mothers regarding balanced nutrition for infants / toddlers, increasing from 4% to 24% which was categorized as good and 40% to 16% which was categorized as poor. The knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding increased from 0% which was categorized as good to 72.7%. The results of monitoring body weight, height and intake showed increased but only the total intake of energy and fat showed that increased significantly (energy: p = 0.048 and fat: p = 0.005) so it can be concluded that integrated educational and counseling interventions have the potential to overcome nutritional problems for infants / toddlers malnutrition. Keywords: education, counselling, exclusive breastfeeding, stunting, undernutrition ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran pemberian ASI eksklusif serta melakukan pendampingan pada balita yang telah mengalami gizi buruk dan stunting dengan metode edukasi dan konseling gizi. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi-eksperimental. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua tahap yaitu pengambilan data dasar kemudian intervensi sesuai dengan penyebab masalah yang ditemukan. Sebanyak 45 balita, 11 ibu hamil dan 15 ibu menyusui yang memiliki bayi kurang dari 6 bulan yang menjadi subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan setelah melakukan edukasi dan konseling selama tiga minggu terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan bumil dan busui mengenai gizi simbang untu balita mengalami peningkatan dari 4% menjadi 24% yang dikategorikan baik dan 40 % menjadi 16 % yang dikategorikan buruk. Begitu pula dengan pengetahuan tentang ASI eksklusif meningkat dari 0% yang dikategorikan baik menjadi 72,7%. Hasil monitoring berat badan, tinggi badan dan asupan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan namun hanya intake total energi dan lemak yang meningkat signifikan (energi: p=0,048 dan lemak: p=0,005) sehingga dapat disimpulkan intervensi edukasi dan konseling yang terintegrasi berpotensi untuk mengatasi masalah gizi bagi bayi/balita gizi buruk. Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini sebagai salah satu edukasi ke masyarakat untuk meningkatkan dan mempertahankan kondisi kesehatan dalam menyambut masa new normal. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui online, dikirimkan dengan grup maupun tersebar ke perseorangan yang berdomisili di wilayah Surabaya. Responden dari golongan usia anak sekolah, remaja, dan dewasa karena diprioritaskan pada individu yang memiliki gadget dan dapat mengoperasikan secara mandiri. Metode: Edukasi dilakukan melalui membagi video dan booklet terkait gizi seimbang memuat tentang definisi gizi seimbang, penerapan konsumsi sesuai gizi seimbang, variasi zat gizi yang dikonsumsi, membatasi konsumsi minyak, gula, dan garam, mengkonsumsi air yang cukup, melakukan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, gizi seimbang mendukung kesehatan untuk menjaga imunitas. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan bulan Juni 2020 melalui grup dan chat personal media sosial warga di Surabaya Selatan. Hasil: Responden menjaga kodisi tubuh agar tetap sehat dengan pola gizi seimbang, pola hidup bersih dan sehat. Pemantauan selanjutnya dilakukan melalui pemeriksaan kesehatan saat berkunjung di beberapa responden. Conclusion: responden mendukung untuk melakukan hidup sehat, menerapkan pedoman gizi seimbang untuk menjaga imunitas di masa menjelang new normal

Abstract

Salah satu program yang dapat dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat dalam upaya peningkatan kesejahteraan keluarga, khususnya di bidang pangan adalah program penanaman dan pemanfaatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA). TOGA adalah tanaman hasil budidaya rumahan yang berkhasiat sebagai obat. Penanaman TOGA dapat dilakukan di pot atau di lahan sekitar rumah. Desa sambogunung adalah salah satu desa di Kecamatan Dukun yang umumnya masyarakat di wilayah tersebut masih belum memahami khasiat dan cara pembuatan obat herbal dari TOGA. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan sosialisasi/penyuluhan tentang khasiat dan cara pembuatan obat herbal dari TOGA sehingga masyarakat dapat memiliki pengetahuan tentang khasiat dan cara pembuatan obat herbal dari TOGA. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah masyarakat desa sambogunung, Target sasaran berjumlah 20 orang dalam satu kelompok . Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan setelah mengikuti sosialisasi Ketua kelompok mampu memahami dan mau memberikan motivasi kepada anggota kelompoknya tentang pentingnya penanaman TOGA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas latihan lutut terhadap penurunan intensitas nyeri pasien osteoarthritis lutut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode anamnesis untuk mengetahui suatu gejala yang timbul, dengan jumlah responden 35 pasien. Kriteria inklusi usia diatas 35 tahun, tidak memiliki penyakit yang semakin parah dengan melakukan latihan. Latihan lutut secara statistik efektif menurunkan intensitas nyeri faktor berat badan efektif menurunkan intensitas nyeri sedangkan variabel lain yaitu usia, jenis kelamin, kecemasan dan aktivitas fisik lain tidak efektif menurunkan intesitas nyeri. Latihan lutut efektif menurunkan intensitas nyeri pasien osteoarthritis lutut. Fisioterapi memberikan contoh melakukan latihan lutut secara teratur, maka akan mengurangi morbiditas akibat nyeri osteoarthritis lutut dan dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidupnya.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with various nutritional problems and requires serious handling. This nutritional problem will certainly affect human resources (HR). Problems that are quite high in under-fives and toddlers are short (stunting) and thin (wasting). This activity aims to improve and increase the knowledge of mothers of children aged under two and under five as well as to achieve and improve normal nutritional status in the working area of ​​the Fisherman's Health Center, precisely in Sukodono Village, Gresik District, Gresik Regency. Data collection was carried out in Sukodono Village, Gresik District, Gresik Regency, it was found that 2 respondents were undernourished which was a recommendation from nutritionists at the Fisherman and Cadre Health Center in Sukodono Village. The result of this activity is that there is an increase in the level of knowledge before and after counseling. This is due to the provision of information and education to respondents so that their knowledge increases from those who do not understand to become more aware and from those who do not know to know. In addition, there was an increase in respondents' understanding regarding the intake consumed must be nutritionally balanced and there was a change in the respondent's intake from before counseling to after counseling. There was an increase in weight and height of under-fives and toddlers before and after being given education.

Abstract

Inpatient Malnutrition rates are quite high and distributed in almost all hospitals for all types of diseases and socio-economic sufferers. This study aims to examine the nutritional status, total patient intake, and factors that influence the total intake of newly hospitalized patients at Muhammadiyah Lamongan Hospital. The study was conducted from November to December 2019 in the internal, surgical, and Obgyn departments of the Muhammadiyah Lamongan Hospital. A total of 80 patients were selected as samples using the accidental sampling technique. The results showed that 87.5% of patients were hospitalized due to non-communicable diseases such as diabetes mellitus, acute and chronic kidney failure, cirrhosis, acute myocardial infark, and others. Only 12.5% ​​are treated for infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, meningitis, diarrhea, and others. Calculation of BMI in patients shows that 10% of patients are obese, 30% are overweight, 50% are normal and 10% are malnourished. 24-hour recall results showed that 100% of patients could not meet energy and nutrient requirements (<80% of energy and nutrient demand figures). The average patient is only able to meet 24% of energy, 17% protein, 24% carbohydrates, and 18% fat. As many as 35% of patients complained of nausea and 22.5% of them were accompanied by vomiting. The number of patients said that decreased appetite because abdominal pain (35%), 25% patients experienced shortness of breath. Many patients complained that their bodies were weak / without strength (95%). Appetite also decreased due to difficulty chewing (17.5%) and difficulty swallowing (22.5%). Physical conditions like weakness accompanied by other eating disorders can be the cause of the patient's decreased food intake. This has led to a decrease in nutritional status in patients due to inadequate energy and nutrient need (especially those who have to go through a long period of hospitalization).

Abstract

Faktor ibu dan pola asuh yang kurang baik terutama pada perilaku dan praktik pemberian makan kepada anak juga menjadi penyebab anak stunting apabila ibu tidak memberikan asupan gizi yang cukup dan baik. Ibu yang masa remajanya kurang nutrisi, bahkan di masa kehamilan, dan laktasi akan sangat berpengaruh pada pertumbuhan tubuh dan otak anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh modifikasi dan pendampingan gizi ibu balita cegah stunting melalui kegiatan “Healthy Food Cooking Clas”. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Quasy Eksperimental yang melibatkan 80 responden yang berasal dari ibu balita stunting pada 2 daerah lokus stunting di Kabupaten Gresik yakni Desa Singosari dan Desa Klangonan yang diplih secara secara purposive sampling. Metode yang dilakukan menggunakan metode pemeriksaan antopometri pada balita, penyuluhan nilai gizi produk healthy food, ceramah tanya jawab, demonstrasi dan praktik memasak (cooking class healthy food). Pelaksanaan kegiatan selama 3 bulan, dalam interval 2 mingguan dilaksanakan di balai Desa Singosari dan Klangonan. Hasil kegiatan modifikasi edukasi dan pendampingan gizi ibu balita cegah stunting dengan healthy food cooking class dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu) dan menghasilkan karya menu berupa Bubur Tim Kelor, Eggrol Bandeng Kelor, Dawet Kelor, Es Krim Kelor dan Stik Kelor. Keseluruhan anak balita menyatakan suka dengan rasa, tekstur dan tampilannya. Modifikasi edukasi dengan healthy food cooking class meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu balita dan menarik minat memasak ibu balita untuk cegah stunting. Pemberian edukasi diharapkan dapat bersifat interaktif dengan metode demonstrasi atau praktik.

Abstract

Background: Data from the Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey in 2021 showed the prevalence of stunted in Gresik is 23%, so Gresik became one of the district-focused locations for eliminating stunting. The Gresik District Government had determined 13 villages to focus on interventions to accelerate integrated stunting prevention and control in 2022, one of which was Singosari Village. Referred to President Regulation Number 75 in 2021 about to accelerate stunting reduction, so needed intensive nutritional assistance to families at risk of stunting with improving knowledge and behavior by education of nutrition to families of toddlers in Singosari Village. Objectives: To examine the impact of intensive nutritional assistance on the nutritional status of children under five in Singosari Village, Gresik. Methods: The design of this study was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design without control group design. A total of 62 toddlers were selected as samples by purposive sampling method to be accompanied intensively for 30 days Nutrition assistance activities include group education of nutrition, education and personal motivation, and cooking together to prepared healthy food and snacks used available ingredients. Results: The results showed that there increasing knowledge of mothers (p-value 0,000), there increasing intake of toddlers but not significantly different based on statistical tests, and there increasing nutritional status for toddlers based on weight-for-age and height-for-age indexes (p-value 0,02 and 0,004)The results of the correlation test showed that increasing protein intake had a significant correlation with an increase body weight and height of toddlers with p-value 0,003 and 0,002, while increasing fat intake had a significant correlation with an increase height of toddlers (p-value 0,001) Conclusions: Intensive nutritional assistance carried out for 30 days can improved the knowledge of mother’s with a p-value 0,000 and can improved the nutritional status of toddlers based on weight-for-age and height-for-age indexes with p-values 0,02 and 0,004.
