Abstract

Along with the advancement of technology in the telecommunications sector, every government or private agency or office already has internet access. However, there are still a few offices that use this failover system that can support community services as is the case at the Makassar Ministry of Religion. This study aims to determine the configuration, performance and efficiency of the failover system. The method used to test the proxy tool and failover system to all users or clients contained in the office of the Ministry of Religion of Makassar, then carried out a trial of the system and then do a comparison of the number of users or clients contained in ISP 1 whether ISP 2 can backup all user or client contained in ISP 1, the results of the comparison failover system runs as expected and all users or clients contained in ISP 1 can be backed up properly by ISP 2 and it can be concluded that performance and efficiency in failover system usage and Smartfren as an ISP 2 is very helpful to maximize service to the community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena pesatnya perkembangan teknologi 4G di wilayah kota Gowa tetapi belum diketahui apakah wilayah kota Gowa sendiri memiliki kualitas jaringan yang baik karena masyarakat mengakses jaringan 4G bukan hanya operator Telkomsel saja tetapi juga ada operator lain yaitu operator Tri, Xl dan lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas jaringan operator Telkomsel dan Operator Tri diwilayah kota Gowa. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan secara langsung di lapangan menggunakan Software Nemo Hendy dan Nemo Analyze. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat parameter, yang fokus pengambilan datanya yaitu: Serving Sytem, RSRP, SINR dan Throughput. Pada serving system operator Tri lebih kuat saat pengambilan data di beberapa titik wilayah karena saat pengambilan data operator tri menetap pada jaringan LTE tidak berpindah ke UMTS maupun GSM  Sedangkan operator Telkomsel pada saat pengambilan data di beberapa titik wilayah terdapat perpindahan serving system dari LTE  dan UMTSi.Kata kunci: Serving System; RSRP; SINR dan Throughput

Abstract

This GSM network stands for Global System for Mobile Communications, which is a digital mobile communication technology, especially in mobile phones. Currently, almost all mobile telecommunicaions instrumentation uses cellular-based technology. Cellular-based mobile telecommunications systems offer advantages compared to wireless systems, namely mobility so that users can move anywhere as long as they are still within the operator's service coverage. The purpose of this study was to measure and analyze how the GSM (Global System For Mobile Communications) network performance of a BTS at PT.Telekomunikasi RTPO Berau during 2020 was based on the results of the analysis of CSSR, CDR, HOSR, TCHCR values. The results showed that the GSM network performance of a BTS at PT. Telecommunications RTPO Berau. The performance results in the first BTS with CSSR values = 99.31%, CDR = 0.30%, HOSR = 94.74%, TCHCR = 0.01%, and for the second BTS performance values CSSR = 98.66%, CDR = 0.35%, HOSR = 96.78%, TCHCR = 0%, and the third BTS with CSSR = 99.74%, CDR = 0.03%, HOSR = 98.01%, TCHCR = 0%. Based on the results of the analysis of the performance of the GSM network in the Berau area and compared with the standard parameters of the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) it can be concluded that the performance of the GSM network in the three BTS is good.
