Abstract

A reactor is a process device where a reaction takes place, be it a chemical or nuclear reaction and not physically. Nuclear reactors are used for various purposes, namely to create, regulate, and maintain a nuclear chain reaction at a constant rate. One method of monitoring corrosion is using an ultrasonic device to measure the thickness of the tank wall and an underwater camera tool to visually see the damage that has occurred and will provide a quantitative estimate of the corrosion rate that occurs in the system by comparing the initial weight and weight after a certain time. The corrosion rate value on the TRIGA 2000 reactor wall is obtained through the weight reduction method, and has an average corrosion value of 0.10 mmpy, while the type of corrosion that occurs on the TRIGA 2000 reactor wall is the type of intergranular corrosion. protective coating by coating organic compounds (lubricant) and controlling humidity and temperature.

Abstract

To support the optimization of operations at a refinery, a tool is urgently needed that can help process crude oil into a product. The centrifugal feed pump P-100/4 is a pump that operates in a distillation unit where the distillation unit functions to process oil from crude oil into products such as residue, diesel ph, diesel, kerosene, naptha and petrasol. The centrifugal feed pump P-100/4 aims to pump crude oil from tanks 101 and 102 to provide feed to furnace 5, before entering the crude oil furnace which is preheated in heat exchangers 1,2,3 to 4. The P-100/4 feed centrifugal pump is driven by a motor. In this paper more focused on the operation and maintenance of centrifugal pump P-100/4 feed. This data collection method is carried out by conducting interviews with field supervisors, and observing the pump unit directly, and other supporting books. The results obtained are: With a good and correct pump operator system and with capable and skilled operators, the pump operation will always be in good condition, and the life of the pump will be longer. The NPSHa value of the P. 100/4 mash pump meets the operating specifications, which is greater than the NPSHr. So the P.100/4 pump does not experience cavitation so the pump work is very stable. The efficiency price of the P. 100/4 feed pump is 68.40%

Abstract

In accelerating production, the manufacturing process uses modern equipment such as machines and implements a structured program to carry out production. This study aims to determine the process of making winch mount components for Maung 4x4 special tactical vehicles. The manufacturing process begins with designing the product, determining the specifications of the material from which the product is made. After that, the raw material is modified through a manufacturing process to be formed into the required parts. To speed up and simplify the production process, a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine is used which works automatically according to the program made. To produce a desired product, of course, must go through several stages. In production the manufacturing process requires machining stages. This is because the desired product cannot be produced through only one machining process. Manufacturing steps, namely, making component designs, material verification (material verification) cutting processes, bending processes, and welding processes.

Abstract

In the gas turbine system there is a section that functions as a place for combustion between a mixture of air and gas called the combustion section. The components of the alignment of the shaft need to be maintained regularly so that the resulting combustion is good. In the process of the turbine producing electrical energy there are many obstacles that occur which result in a reduction in the productivity of the turbine work, one of the causes is misalignment of the shaft. Misalignment on the shaft can be overcome by carrying out an alignment process which aims to make the shaft return to its initial position so that it is parallel to the other shaft. The alignment process is carried out to get the axial and radial values on the shaft which is then carried out by the adjusting process. The adjusting process is carried out so that the position of the shaft that is out of tolerance returns to the tolerance position and the work of the turbine can return to normal.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency of three different types of fuel on the EME 35 engine on the LSU 02 aircraft. The fuel used is Pertalite, Pertamax, and Pertamax turbo. The method used in this study was an experiment using the LSU 02 aircraft as the research object. The data is taken from measurements of fuel consumption and engine performance on each type of fuel. The analysis is carried out by comparing the efficiency and performance of the engine on each type of fuel used. The results showed that the efficiency and performance of the engine on Pertamax fuel was better than that of Pertamax turbo and Pertalite. Fuel consumption on Pertamax is more efficient than Pertalite and Pertamax turbo, so that Pertamax is more efficient in fuel use. In addition, engines on Pertamax fuel have better performance with greater power and are more stable compared to Pertalite and Pertamax turbo. Therefore, it is recommended to use Pertamax fuel in the EME 35 engine on the LSU 02 aircraft to achieve better efficiency and performance.

Abstract

In palm oil processing, there are five main stages: sterilization, threshing, digestion, pressing, and clarification. Among these, the pressing stage is one of the most critical. The pressing machine is used to separate crude oil from the fibers in the fruit pulp. This machine includes a pressing component, commonly referred to as the cone cage, which is operated by a hydraulic mechanism. The palm oil pressing process plays a crucial role in determining the success of processing fresh fruit bunches (FFB), as significant oil losses often occur during this stage. One of the key factors affecting these losses is the value of the hydraulic pressure. This study aims to investigate the effect of hydraulic pressure on oil losses in fibers for each pressing machine and to understand how the pressing machine operates. To analyze the hydraulic pressure variable and oil losses in fibers, observations were conducted by monitoring the pressure gauge on each pressing machine. The oil losses in fibers were measured through laboratory testing at the factory. The collected data were then compared. The results of this study indicate that hydraulic pressure has a significant effect on oil losses in the fibers of the pressing machine. At a hydraulic pressure of 49 bar, the smallest oil loss was recorded at 3.28%, whereas at a hydraulic pressure of 40 bar, the highest oil loss was observed at 4.42%. This demonstrates that higher hydraulic pressure results in lower oil losses, and vice versa.

Abstract

The installation of photoelectric sensors as a supporting element for the development of a pneumatic transfer system based on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) in the Kartini Reactor aims to enhance efficiency and accuracy in operational processes. This study integrates photoelectric sensors to detect capsules in the pneumatic transfer system, which previously required manual intervention. The sensors send signals to the PLC, which controls actuators automatically. The system was optimized through installation, calibration, and testing, involving the measurement of capsule speeds for both empty capsules and those containing 3-gram samples. Results indicate significant operational efficiency improvements, with average transfer speeds of 12.41 m/s for empty capsules and 11.76 m/s for filled ones. This integration significantly contributes to advancing reactor automation systems based on PLC technology.

Abstract

Motor vehicle tax payments represent a substantial portion of regional income. However, recurrent delays in motorbike tax payments, notably in the Kandang Limun sub-district of Bengkulu City, pose a significant threat to regional development. This research aims to address these delays by predicting and implementing effective strategies. Using the RapidMiner application and the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method, a delay rate of 36.14% was predicted. The study incorporates interviews to propose several strategies, including enhancing websites, improving offline and online services, implementing Drivethru services, and using SMS Blast notifications to combat delays. To evaluate the feasibility of these strategies, the research employs the Strategy Alignment Maturity Model (SAMM). The assessment at BPKD reveals a maturity level of 4, signifying an ability to improve and manage processes effectively. The maturity assessment suggests that the proposed strategies for overcoming delays are well-aligned with BPKD's capabilities. They have demonstrated a robust alignment between IT and business strategies, leveraging IT to enhance performance, and conducting thorough business and IT evaluations. In addition to the maturity assessment, the research offers suggestions and evaluation strategies. These encompass the adoption of biometrics for authentication, implementation of chatbots, Samsat self-service kiosks, real-time vehicle monitoring, and the introduction of automatic tax programs.
