Abstract

The research examines how labor absorption in East Java's Horseshoe region is influenced by several key factors: population, average years of schooling, TPAK, minimum wage, and GRDP per capita. Using panel data regression analysis through the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), determined by Chow and Hausman testing, the investigation adopts a quantitative methodology. The analysis draws on secondary data spanning 2014-2023, sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics of the corresponding region. The results show that the variables of Total Population and TPAK have a positive and significant effect on employment. Meanwhile, the variables of Average Years of Schooling, Minimum Wage, and GRDP Per Capita have no significant effect, and even tend to be negative. This finding indicates that an increase in the active working-age population contributes to labor absorption, while formal education and wage policies have not been able to optimally encourage labor absorption in the region's dominant informal sector. This study provides policy implications for local governments in encouraging inclusive and quality-based employment growth. Keywords: Labor Absorption, Population, Average Years of Schooling, TPAK, Minimum Wage, GRDP Per Capita.

Abstract

The digital era has driven significant transformation in the financial system, one of which is through the digital financial migration strategy in the Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) program. This community service describes the implementation of the digital financial migration strategy through assistance in opening accounts for BSU recipients at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Mojokerto Surodinawan. A descriptive qualitative method was used, involving direct observation and semi-structured interviews with BSU recipients categorized as unbanked and underbanked. The results of the community service initiative indicate that the BYOND by BSI application was used as the primary medium for opening digital accounts. However, its implementation still faces challenges related to literacy and technological adaptation among customers. Based on the assistance provided, it was recorded that 60% of BSU recipients experienced difficulties in operating the BYOND application, particularly during the activation stage and when using initial features. The BSU program not only functions as a means of distributing social assistance but also as a catalyst for expanding Islamic financial inclusion. These findings emphasize the importance of a humanistic and adaptive approach in digital financial migration to achieve an inclusive and sustainable economic transformation. The implications of this community service form the basis for Islamic financial institutions in designing digital strategies that are more responsive to the needs of low-income communities as well as unbanked and underbanked groups.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the number of tourists, hotel occupancy rates, and number of tourist attractions on work energy absorption in Banyuwangi Regency, Pasuruan Regency and Batu City. The method used in this research is a quantitative research method with panel data regression analysis method through the eviews12 program. Using secondary data at BPS (Central Statistics Agency), the various regions studied in 2013-2022 were carried out using the selected model, namely the Random Effect Model (REM). The results of the analysis show that overall the independent variables (Number of Tourists, Hotel Occupancy Level, Number of Tourist Attractions) have an influence on labor absorption in Banyuwangi Regency, Pasuruan Regency and Batu City. Partially, the variable number of tourists has no effect on work energy absorption, the hotel occupancy rate variable has no effect on work energy absorption, while the number of tourist attractions has an effect on work energy absorption in the tourism sector in Banyuwangi regency, Pasuruan regency and Batu city.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between population size, economic growth, education level, and unemployment rate on the poverty level in Tuban Regency. Tuban Regency is a district with a poverty percentage reaching 14.91% in 2022. The researchers used a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that the population size has a positive effect on the poverty level, economic growth has a negative effect on the poverty level, the education level has a positive effect on the poverty level, and the unemployment rate has a positive effect on the poverty level in Tuban Regency. The data used in this study include secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency and other related sources. This research provides significant contributions to understanding the factors influencing poverty in the area, which can serve as a basis for policy formulation to reduce poverty. Potential policies include improving the quality of education, creating new job opportunities, and promoting inclusive economic growth. Improving the quality of education is expected to enhance the skills and competitiveness of the workforce, while the creation of new jobs can reduce the unemployment rate. Inclusive economic growth ensures that the benefits of economic growth are felt by all layers of society, particularly the poor. Therefore, this study offers comprehensive insights into the relationship between these variables and provides policy recommendations that can help reduce the poverty rate in Tuban Regency.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: This paper was written to examine the primary objective of the Indonesian government in the SGD's. As of now, the government's efforts to understand SDGs are still in their early stages. It is evident that the implemented policies are not very strict and that the intermediary institutions are still not fully developed. Research Methods: We employ a Systematic Literature Review approach to curate publications from academics and the government in order to examine the government's planning direction. Subsequently, we compare these findings with the Indonesian government's five-year and ten-year Development Plans and juxtapose them with documents issued by local governments. Finding/Results: The research findings indicate that there are differences in emphasis between the central and regional areas in implementing SDGS. Conclusion: Overall, Poverty Reduction and Economic Growth remain the main priorities, followed by Health and Well-being and Quality education. While not all SDGs can be immediately realized, Indonesia is committed to incorporating SDG issues into government policie
