Abstract

Di masa pandemi Covid-19 belakangan ini, para remaja menghadapi persoalan yang cukup besar. Di sisi lain, para remaja merasa kesulitan mengungkap secara terbuka permasalahnnya kepada orang dewasa atau orang tuanya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi manajemen bimbingan dan konseling yang terstruktur untuk membantu para remaja tersebut dalam memecahkan masalah yang mereka hadapi. Salah satu jalan keluar yang bisa digunakan adalah dengan pemberdayaan remaja masjid melalui pelatihan konselor sebaya. Pemberdayaan dan pendampingan remaja masjid melalui pelatihan konselor sebaya bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi agar remaja masjid memiliki kompetensi dalam melakukan konseling sebaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen. Perlakukan diberikan dalam bentuk pelatihan yang terdiri atas pemberian materi, focus group discussion, simulasi, dan pendampingan, serta pretest dan post test. Hasil dari pemberdayaan adalah semakin meningkatnya kemampuan dalam konseling sebaya dan keilmuannya semakin spesifik. Meskipun ada kendala seperti kesulitan dalam mengenali masalah klien saat proses simulasi konseling sebaya, secara garis, besar kemampuan para remaja masjid untuk menjadi konselor sebaya sudah cukup baik untuk diterapkan di kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

The spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic in many countries around the world has changed the learning-teaching process in higher education sectors from face-to-face learning to online learning. This study aims to understand undergraduate students’ views on the implementation of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research was conducted on 4th to 8th-semester students at the Islamic higher education, Universitas Islam Indonesia, using a qualitative case study. Findings of the study have consisted of three broad themes; firstly, the advantages of online learning: increasing technological literacy, flexibility in learning, improving self-ability, being financially efficient, and supported various learning media; secondly, the weaknesses of online learning: heavy tasks, less effective and decreased enthusiasm, little control from the lecturers, and technical problems; thirdly, constructive feedback on the implementation of online learning: the creation of interesting learning videos, fun learning strategies, holding quizzes, notification of lectures to be multiplied, free internet quota, and additional time for working on assignments. The findings reinforce other studies where the implementation of online learning still requires improvements, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research can be a reference in policymaking. Further research is needed from the perspectives of lecturers and policymakers to complement the findings.

Abstract

Tackling religious radicalism is a challenge in Indonesia which acts of intolerance, group exclusion, religion-based violence, terrorism, and hate speech through social media occur repeatedly. This study aims to explore the perceptions of Islamic scholars in Yogyakarta regarding the deradicalization of religion and the role of social media in religious deradicalization. This research uses a case study method which is part of qualitative research. Researchers collected data by conducting in-depth interviews via offline or online interviews through the Zoom application. Participants were 16 male and female Islamic scholars coming from various backgrounds of Islamic organizations, such as Muhammadiyah, Nahdlatul Ulama, the Indonesian Islamic Da’wah Institute, Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia, and the Qur’an Tafsir Council. The location of this research is Yogyakarta Special Region. Interview data were analyzed using thematic analysis methods. This study of religious deradicalization found four major themes, namely strengthening awareness of being Indonesia, prioritizing an inclusive approach as a soft approach in fighting radicalism, promoting a deep understanding of Islam, and utilizing social media. This research provides a novel finding that could contribute to the government, religious leaders, educational institutions, and The National Counter Terrorism Agency where religious deradicalization programs need to be focused on a soft approach, involving the use of social media, targeting blind spot areas such as study programs of medical, engineering, and pharmacy at universities and ensuring mosques uncontrolled by radical groups.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the perceptions and experiences of undergraduate students in using strategies for reading texts during the Covid-19 pandemic. Researchers chose to use qualitative research in this study with a case study approach. The participants involved were 14 undergraduate students at the State Islamic University of Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin, Banten, West Java, Indonesia where participants were selected using the snowball sampling method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews which were then transcribed in which the names of participants were written pseudonymously. The collected data is then analyzed by the thematic analysis method. This study found that reading activities during the pandemic have their challenges and advantages and students have started to tend to get used to reading texts on a screen rather than reading in printout form, although some of them still prefer to read in printout form. The five main strategies in reading texts that are commonly used by students during the Covid-19 pandemic are memory association, retelling, previewing, identifying the main idea, and habituation. Researchers conclude that the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic have forced undergraduate students to get used to reading texts in on-screen form and reading strategies are still varied. Therefore, this research implies that the teaching and learning process should accommodate many strategies in reading texts based on proficiency in English and not dominate just one strategy.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan tidak terlepas dari pengaruh perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi. Semakin berkembangannya IPTEK maka dunia pendidikan juga perlu melakukan upgrade untuk menciptakan inovasi baru dalam proses pembelajaran. RPP adalah salah satu hal penting yang menunjang proses pembelajaran. Salah satu inovasi pembelajaran yang dapat dilakukan adalah RPP Kolaborasi. RPP Kolaborasi merupakan model inovasi pembelajaran berbasis proyek dimana dalam pembuatannya disesuaikan dengan profil murid. Dalam RPP Kolaborasi juga berfokus pada model pembelajaran student centered learning dengan menggunakan prinsip Merdeka Belajar dan 5M. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil dari penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang dilakukan melalui RPP Kolaborasi di SMA Plus Teknologi (Kelas X). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif berjenis studi kasus dengan menganalisis topik yang diteliti. Pengumpulan data lewat dokumentasi dan wawancara mendalam. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa penerapan RPP kolaborasi Mapel menjadi inovasi baru dalam pembelajaran, RPP kolaborasi efektif dan efisien dimana dalam proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih praktis, dan penerapan RPP kolaborasi Mapel memuaskan dalam persepsi guru dan siswa.

Abstract

Hadirnya program kampus mengajar menuntut mahasiswa agar mampu berkontribusi dalam kegiatan bermasyarakat, khususnya dalam bidang pendidikan. Program Kampus Mengajar bertujuan agar mahasiswa dapat menjadi agen perubahan dalam dunia pendidikan baik bidang administrasi, pengajaran, maupun adaptasi teknologi. Dalam implementasi Kampus Mengajar ini tentu mengalami berbagai tantangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tantangan dan solusi dalam pelaksanaan program Kampus Mengajar angkatan 2 khususnya di wilayah Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian kualitatif ini adalah jenis studi kasus dalam penelitian kualitatif. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam. Ada 10 partisipan yang terdiri dari mahasiswa Kampus Mengajar angkatan 2 dari berbagai sekolah mitra di Yogyakarta. Data hasil wawancara ditranskrip dalam bentuk naratif dan dianalisis menggunakan thematik analysis. Penelitian ini menemukan beberapa tantangan; kompetensi mengajar mahasiswa kurang relevan dengan yang dibutuhkan sekolah, beberapa mahasiswa tidak diberikan kesempatan mengajar, sarana dan prasarana kurang mendukung, guru gagap teknologi, dan miskomunikasi mahasiswa Kampus Mengajar dengan guru di lapangan. Solusinya adalah; perlu ada inovasi dalam pembelajaran, memperbanyak kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam mengisi kekosongan dalam mengajar, digitalisasi bahan bacaan di perpustakaan, adaptasi teknologi, dan koordinasi dengan guru dibuat lebih matang sebelum penerjunan di sekolah. Penelitian ini menjadi masukan berharga bagi pemegang kebijakan dan pelaku Kampus Mengajar dalam perbaikan ke depannya.

Abstract

AbstractMadrasah diniah has an essential role in educating the younger generation concerning instilling Islamic values from an early age. Moderation Islam (wasathiyah Islam) has now become a school of Islamic thought that has become a discourse. This research aimed to interpret madrasah diniah education as a medium for teaching and learning Islamic moderation values to students of Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran (Qur’an Learning Center). The research method used qualitative. This research was conducted at Baiturrahman Mosque, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The subjects were three Qur’an Learning Center teachers of the Baiturrahman Mosque. This research used data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and secondary sources. The data analysis technique used in the form of content analysis techniques. Based on the results of the research, it was found that early madrasah diniah education can be used as a medium of teaching and learning to instill Islamic moderation values.  AbstrakMadrasah diniah memiliki peran penting dalam mendidik generasi muda dalam kaitannya menanamkan nilai-nilai Islam sejak dini. Moderasi Islam (wasathiyah Islam) telah menjadi aliran pemikiran Islam yang menjadi pembicaraan. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menginterpretasikan pendidikan madrasah diniah sebagai media pengajaran dan pembelajaran nilai-nilai moderasi Islam pada santri Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di Masjid Baiturrahman, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian adalah tiga guru santri Taman Pendidikan Al-Quran Masjid Baiturrahman. Penelitian menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan sumber sekunder. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan berupa teknik analisis konten. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa pendidikan madrasah diniah dapat dijadikan sebagai media pengajaran dan pembelajaran dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moderasi Islam.

Abstract

Fenomena degradasi moral di Indonesia dalam level mencemaskan dan berbahaya. Belakangan, banyak anak-anak dan remaja bukan lagi hanya sebagai korban kejahatan tetapi mereka sudah banyak yang menjadi pelaku dari berbagai kejahatan. Sebagian dari mereka terlibat dalam tawuran, kekerasan fisik, kekerasan psikis, kekerasan verbal, kejahatan seksual, narkoba, dan pembunuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali pendekatan pendidikan karakter dalam paradigma prophetic parenting untuk mengatasi fenomena degradasi moral di Indonesia. Menggunakan penelitian kajian pustaka, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi metode pendidikan karakter bagi anak yang diajarkan Nabi Muhammad SAW sebagai upaya untuk membangun generasi muda yang berakhlakul karimah. Peneliti mengumpulkan beragam literatur bacaan seperti buku, journal, majalah, dan berita dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa prophetic parenting merupakan suatu ajaran dan konsep mendidik anak dengan berkiblat pada cara-cara yang dilakukan oleh Rasulullah SAW yang didalamnya mencakup proses pengajaran, pendidikan, dan penanaman nilai-nilai karakter. Pendekatan pendidikan karakter menggunakan paradigma propthetic parenting meliputi penanaman adab, menanamkan sikap jujur, mengajarkan sikap amanah, mendidik anak untuk menjauhi sifat iri dan dengki, dan mendidik anak melalui keteladanan.

The learning process in schools for students basically should be in line with the nature (stages of development) of the students themselves. The Montessori method in the learning process focuses on students as experts in their actions and practice where educators only act as observers of student work and facilitators for students. In addition, the Montessori method has a specialty, namely how students have sensitivity skills to the environment. Researchers conducted this study with the aim of analyzing the advantages of applying the Montessori method in instilling the values of Islamic religious education in students at Brainy Bunch International Islamic Montessori School Malaysia. The research method used is field research with descriptive analysis. This field research was carried out by direct observation from class to class as well as direct interviews with teachers. This study found that the Montessori method was very good at instilling Islamic values because this method tries to follow the nature of students and can be seen directly from students' behavior while at home or at school. Abstract

The selection of effective and superior learning methods is one of the challenges in the world of education, especially in Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the Montessori method as one of the relevant methods to overcome problems in the world of education, especially related to learning methods. Metode Montessori itself has been implemented at the Brainy Bunch International Islamic Montessori School Malaysia which is also the location of this research. Researchers use qualitative research with case studies and data analyzed descriptively. The informant determination technique uses purposive sampling, where the informant involves educators in related educational institutions which include the Chief Executive Officer, Principal, Vice Principal, Teacher, and Students in the Brainy Bunch. This research found related to the internalization of Islamic values, the preparation of applied learning, the completeness of effective and inter-creative learning facilities and media, learning activities that are supported and equipped with subjects, learning focus, and learning support activities, as well as effective, descriptive and evaluative learning assessments. This research contributes to enriching scientific characteristics related to the implementation of effective Islamic Montessori methods in superior primary and secondary education learning activities.
