Abstract

This paper deals with process of remanufacturing which is a process that is applied to products have expired or have been damaged, so the products can be reused with almost the same quality and balance as new products. PT UTR plant Jakarta has a new project, namely remanufacturing PT MCG's hydraulic cylinder. To maintain customer trust, each component that is remanufacturing must be ensured of its quality by means of testing before being sent to the customer. This equipment is made based on the use of management methods that have been standardized, namely 7++ ups tools. In collecting the required data, a direct approach was taken by following the existing remanufacturing process flow, so that the tool to be made was really useful and easy to use. From the results of the research carried out, we make a special equipment of a stand test bench hydraulic cylinders so that each component of the hydraulic cylinder that was remanufacturing could be done on a test bench. With this equipment, the quality standards of remanufacturing hydraulic cylinders can be accounted for.

Abstract

One of the steps after the electroplating/coating process on the product is the drying process. In Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the drying process on CIV KG 0741 bolts with a diameter of 10 mm and a length of 20 mm requires a drying time of 6 hours. Drying simply and naturally has limitations, requiring a large drying area depending on the weather, time and temperature, which cannot be controlled. A simple automatic dryer is needed using a single-phase electric power source and simple and ergonomic maintenance methods to obtain a quality product with a measurable drying duration. Design and analysis of drying on the dryer. The dryer with dimensions of 680 x 480 x 967.12 mm3 has a mass of 21.94 kg with a drum capacity of 20 kg. The motor propulsion used is 1 HP, 5.08 Nm of torque and capable of rotating at 1500 rpm with an effort of 39296.66 Joules. The dryer can dry as much as 20 kg of bolts in 5 minutes faster than solar energy, with a drying time of 15 minutes to 1 hour.

Abstract

PT AI-ISO workshop on DM Jakarta provides various repair and periodic maintenance services. In periodic maintenance, brake repair jobs have problems replacing the brake pads (brake shoe set) of Isuzu Giga Trucks, which takes about 9 hours. To reduce the processing time, an improvement process is carried out to shorter processing time, so the customer feels more satisfied with repairing his vehicle. From observations, the length of work time was due to the process of changing the brake pads outside the workshop due to the absence of tools to install the brake pads. The repair shop offers to replace a set of brake pads, but the price is higher than just replacing the brake pads, so the customer makes this choice. The improvement made was the manufacture of a rivet installation tool on the brake pads based on the workings of a rivet machine. First, it is necessary to make a brake pad holder so that it does not shift when pressed and ensures that the pressure acting on the rivet is as requested. This tool is also equipped with a Standard Operation Procedure to make it easier for technicians to replace brake pads. The result is a decrease in processing time for the brake pad replacement process from an average of 9 hours to 5 hours. With these tools, repairing the brake system can be accelerated and within the safe limits required in the vehicle's manual, and the customer will be more satisfied.

Abstract

PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi komponen otomotif berbahan dasar aluminium casting dengan produk utama berupa piston untuk mesin kendaraan bermotor. Dalam rangka diversifikasi produk, perusahaan bekerja sama dengan mitra industri untuk memproduksi axle bracket yang berfungsi sebagai dudukan suspensi dan master rem pada sepeda motor. Proses sprue cutting pada komponen ini masih dilakukan secara manual karena fixture yang tersedia hanya dirancang untuk model piston, sehingga waktu siklus pemotongan tinggi dan kapasitas produksi tidak mampu memenuhi permintaan pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membuat fixture khusus yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi proses sprue cutting axle bracket. Metode penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data, analisis permasalahan menggunakan fishbone diagram, perancangan dan pembuatan fixture, serta uji performa melalui pengukuran waktu siklus dan kualitas hasil pemotongan. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa fixture baru mampu menurunkan waktu siklus dari 110 detik menjadi 85 detik dan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi sebesar 28%, serta mengurangi cacat produk. Dengan demikian, fixture yang dikembangkan terbukti meningkatkan produktivitas, stabilitas proses, dan kualitas pemotongan pada produksi axle bracket.
