Abstract

PT Racer Technology Batam is a private manufacturing company. This research analyzes the productivity of the work process in the spray painting department. The study aims to identify factors influencing productivity in the Spray Painting Department, understand the form of production process productivity in the Spray Painting Department, and propose improvements to enhance productivity in the production process of the Spray Painting Department. Secondary data, obtained from the productivity data of the spray painting department at PT. Racer Technology Batam, is used in this study. The data is then analyzed using the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method. The research results indicate fluctuating productivity indices each month in the spray painting department. Based on the weight calculation for each indicator, indicator A has a weight of 56%, indicator B 22%, indicator C 16%, and indicator D 7%. The productivity index calculation from January 2023 to October 2023 reveals the highest productivity index in April 2023 with a productivity value of 868 and a productivity index increase of 139.78% compared to the previous month. The highest productivity decrease occurred in August 2023 with a productivity value of 189 and a productivity index decrease of -76.14% compared to the previous month.

Abstract

Feasibility analysis of the motorbike painting business at SBS Garage and Paint UKM aims to determine the feasibility of the SBS Garage and Paint workshop business. SBS Garage and Paint workshop is in the Buana Central Park area, and wants to test whether the motorbike painting business is feasible or not. to determine the level of feasibility in terms of several aspects, namely market and marketing aspects, technical aspects, management aspects and legal aspects. The market and marketing aspects of the SBS Garage and Paint workshop are able to fulfill the marketing mix strategy (product, price, place and promotion) and the STP strategy (Segmenting, Targeting and Positioning). The technical aspects of the SBS Garage and Paint workshop have according to the criteria and being able to choose the location, layout and selection of tools, the management aspect of the SBS Garage and Paint workshop has an organizational structure and job description and the legal aspect states that the SBS Garage and Paint workshop has a business license and has met the requirements of the bank if you want to take out a business capital loan. So it can be concluded that the analysis of business feasibility in market and marketing aspects, technical aspects, management aspects, and legal aspects is feasible.

Abstract

This research aims to measure working time during the Print Circuit Board (PCB) inspection process at PT. Flextronic Technology Indonesia and determine optimal time standards to increase work productivity. The method used is a time study by taking samples from one operator in 30 observations for 10 processes. The measurement results show that the standard PCB inspection time is 64 units in 1 hour. Determining standard time takes into account the adjustment factors and allowances required in the work process. The results of this research indicate that the PCB inspection process at PT Flextronic Technology Indonesia is a critical stage in electronics manufacturing to ensure that PCBs meet predetermined specifications and quality standards. Process time measurements were carried out using the time study method and a time standard of 64 units per hour or 508 units per shift was obtained to complete one PCB inspection process.

Abstract

CV Ring Tech Engineering is a type of business in the field of fabrication that processes machine jigs and fixtures and manufacturing equipment consisting of milling machines, grinding machines and lathes. The problem that occurs at CV Ring Tech Engineering is that there is damage to the lathe, thus hampering the pace of the production process. Some of the damage that occurs on the lathe is: belting is often loose, spindle vibration is unstable, cutting edges are often damaged or worn and the sled is difficult to shift. The purpose of this research is to determine the form of maintenance system scheduling on lathe machines at Cv Ring Tech Engineering The method used in this research is the RCM (Realiability Centered Maintenance) method. The results obtained The maintenance action on machine 01 was carried out a maintenance interval of 144.4 hours or 20 days, on machine 02 a maintenance interval of 182 hours or 7 days and on machine 03 a maintenance interval of 97.32 hours or 4 days.

Abstract

PT Giken Precision Indonesia is a manufacturing company specializing in plastic molding products, located in Batam and established in 1991. Based on field observations, frequent mold damage in injection molding machines has resulted in defects in the wing eater product. This issue occurs due to the loosening of mold pins within the upper and lower plates of the mold. The total defective products for wing eater in one year reached 6.73%, exceeding the company’s tolerance limit of 5% annually. This study aims to improve the quality of injection molding molds in the wing eater production process and determine the appropriate mold design to enhance the injection molding process quality. The methods used in this study are Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) and Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO). The results show that after designing an ejector set with upper plate and lower plate dimensions of 500 mm in length and 338 mm in width, the ejector pins were redesigned with two dimensional variations: a base diameter of 5 mm and a tip diameter of 4 mm. The percentage of defective products significantly decreased from 7.19% in January 2023 to 2.06% in February 2024. The Sigma level improved from 3.82 (10,170 DPMO) to 4.25 (2,980 DPMO), indicating a 70.7% reduction in defects. Thus, the mold quality can be improved.
