But for the nesting activity of the flower grouse it is usually done in the bushes. Wandering Whistling Duck (D. arcuata), do more activities in the late afternoon and evening, this is because this species is often used as a hunted animal by the community. The population of flower grouse in the study area was found as many as 76 individuals, and more were found in line 3. This was due to the fact that in this research line the main food of the Wandering Whistling Duck (D. arcuata), namely water hyacinth (Eicchornia crassipes) was found.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the habitat conditions and behavior of the Cacatua goffiniana in Lorulun Village, Tanimbar Islands Regency.  The method used for vegetation community data is a combination of the path method and plotted lines at 4 growth levels including seedlings, saplings, poles and trees, there are 15 paths with 75 plots in 3 observation blocks.  Determining the location for observing the behavior of the Tanimbar Cockatoo (Cacatua goffiniana) was carried out using the concentrated point method and also the All Occurrences method.  The research results show that the main habitat of the Tanimbar Cockatoo (Cacatua goffiniana) is primary and secondary tropical forests which have the availability of tall trees for nests and food sources.  This bird is also found in plantations and forest edge areas, showing adaptability to habitat changes.  The social behavior of Tanimbar cockatoos is very complex, showing a high level of intelligence, often seen in activities in small groups of 5-10 individuals.  Social interactions between these individuals include various behaviors such as coordinating vocalization behavior, vocalization behavior feeling threatened, aggressive agonistic behavior, submissive agonistic behavior, affiliative behavior of feather probing, affiliative behavior of mutual probing, affiliative behavior of playing, affiliative behavior of perching.  This research also notes the existence of a strong territorial behavior pattern, groups of Tanimbar parrots will defend their territory from other groups when food sources are abundant, these territorial boundaries become more flexible.

Abstract

The problem of waste at tourist attractions has from the past until now is still a hot topic in the world of tourism. Starting from pollution of marine ecosystems, air pollution, to direct impacts on human health. To create tourism that can guarantee the preservation of nature and culture, a sustainable tourism concept is needed. The aim of this activity is to clean the coastal area of Isau Island (Seven Islands) from existing rubbish, provide an example for tourists (visitors), especially local and domestic tourists, to keep the area clean and beautiful and prevent plastic waste from entering the sea and can disrupt marine ecosystems. The implementation method used is the participant method. Where participants are subjects involved in activities as participants in providing responses to activities carried out and supporting the achievement of goals and are responsible for their involvement. And the types of waste found on the coast of Isau Island Beach (Nusa Itu Resort) Pulau Tujuh Pasanea, Central Maluku Regency, there are seven types of waste materials including plastic, metal or aluminum, cloth, glass and ceramics, metal, paper and cardboard, rubber, other materials. . Plastic is a type of waste material with the highest density value. The high density of plastic waste with less efficient waste management patterns makes Isau Island Beach easy or vulnerable to environmental pollution.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia has widespread mangrove ecosystems, which are among the largest in the world. As part of the ecosystem, mangroves play an important role in maintaining water productivity and improving the economic life of the people living around it. Negeri Rutong is one of the villages located in the coastal area of the South Leitimur Peninsula (South Leitimur District), Ambon City. The mangrove ecosystem in Negeri Rutong has promising opportunities when viewed from the future prospects, especially because the coastal waters of Negeri Rutong function as a beach tourism destination. Negeri Rutong Beach consists of white sand combined with a stretch of gravel, while the shoreline directly borders the Banda Sea. The offshore waters are decorated with coral reefs which are the habitat of various charming marine biota and the mangrove ecosystem is quite promising for the lives of the community. The challenges faced by the community in conservation efforts are the degradation of the mangrove ecosystem in coastal areas. caused by several factors, namely the rise in sea levels, frequent waste from other locations carried by currents and waves, even those carried sometimes in the form of logs and blown by wind and waves, causing significant damage to the mangrove community. The proposed solutions for the local partners are accompanied by clear stages of implementation, as follows: 1. Preparation Stage: Initial community engagement and survey of planting sites and 2. Implementation Stage: Conducting extension activities and planting 100 types of forestry plant species.

Abstract

The Maluku region, particularly Negeri Suli in Central Maluku Regency, boasts high biodiversity, with endemic species such as the Moluccan parrot, the Moluccan cockatoo, and the cuscus. However, community inactivity and low environmental awareness pose challenges to conservation. This community service initiative aims to increase community understanding and participation in wildlife conservation through the development of a community-based education zone. The method used is a participatory approach through preparation, outreach, education, and community involvement in planning and management. Results show that the conservation education zone is able to increase environmental awareness, strengthen the community's role in wildlife protection, and encourage the application of local wisdom such as sasi in natural resource management. Furthermore, this zone has the potential to become a learning platform, research platform, and economic development through ecotourism. Thus, the development of a community-based conservation education zone is an important strategy to support biodiversity conservation and improve community welfare in a sustainable manner.
