Abstract

Abstract: This is a content analysis study that aims to analyze the tasks in Pythagorean Theorem unit contained in Indonesian mathematics textbooks and compare them to those of Singapore using the framework to analyze tasks in the textbook with three dimensions of analysis: representation form, contextual feature, and degree of openness. The result of the study shows that in Singaporean Mathematics textbook, verbal representation tasks and closed-ended tasks are commonly found throughout the textbook, meanwhile, application and non-application tasks are divided into exactly a half. In Indonesian Mathematics textbook, combination tasks, non-application tasks, and open-middled tasks are the most common tasks found.Key Words: task, mathematics textbook, pythagorean theoremAbstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan analisis konten yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis tugas yang termuat dalam buku teks matematika Indonesia untuk kemudian dibandingkan dengan tugas-tugas pada buku teks matematika Singapura menggunakan kerangka kerja untuk menganalisis tugas pada buku teks yang memuat tiga dimensi analisis yaitu bentuk representasi, fitur kontekstual, dan derajat keterbukaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada buku teks matematika Singapura, tugas dengan representasi verbal dan tugas tertutup adalah jenis yang paling banyak muncul, sedangkan tugas aplikasi dan non-aplikasi terbagi tepat menjadi dua. Pada buku teks matematika Indonesia, tugas dengan kombinasi representasi, tugas non-aplikasi, dan tugas open-middled adalah jenis yang paling sering muncul.Kata kunci: tugas, buku teks matematika, teori pitagoras

Abstract

Pandemi Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) yang terjadi di seluruh dunia akhirnya memaksa sekolah untuk menyelenggarakan pembelajaran daring. Penyelenggaraan yang mendadak memunculkan pertanyaan apakah guru sebagai pelaksana lapangan sudah siap untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran daring, mengingat pengukuran kesiapan baik faktor teknologi, inovasi, manusia, dan pengembangan diri perlu dilakukan agar dapat memperoleh manfaat yang sebenarnya dari penyelenggaraan sistem pembelajaran daring. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kesiapan guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring yang dilaksanakan di masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini adalah mixed method yang dilakukan dengan penyebaran angket kepada para guru di SMA/SMK Katolik di Kota Pontianak dan Kabupaten Kubu Raya Kalimantan Barat melalui bantuan form daring lalu menganalisis data kuantitatif dengan pemberian skor pada hasil angket, kemudian dilakukan wawancara untuk mendapatkan informasi lebih mendalam. Berdasarkan data penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa secara keseluruhan SMA dan SMK Katolik di Kota Pontianak dan Kabupaten Kubu Raya telah siap melaksanakan pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi COVID-19.

Abstract

The purpose of this research and development is to describe the process and results of the development of mathematics learning resources in the form of interactive slideshows of Linear Equations of Two Variables topic for junior high school students of 8th grade. This development was carried out because of the need for interactive learning resources that are easy to develop and operate by both teachers and students during the implementation of Distance Learning (Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh) in this New Normal era. The development model used in this research is a modification of the Plomp model, which includes the phases of initial investigation, design, realization and test, evaluation, and revision. Even though the development process is simple, the results of the validation of this learning resource indicate that the product is valid with a percentage of 85.8% from the expert validation sheet, and is effective because 100% of students who are the subject using this learning resource get a score of more than 75 and 92% of students respond positively.

Abstract

In this era of The New Normal where students, teachers, and even parents are ‘forced’ to get accustomed to distance learning, we cannot simply overlook the importance of feedback on students’ work especially in mathematics teaching and learning, since feedback will provide information about the level of students' understanding of the material provided and also encourage them because their work is valued. This is a descriptive qualitative article about the overview of online mathematics classes and also how to utilize the role of feedback in them. The data in this article was enriched with the results of a questionnaire for 83 respondents from higher education in West Borneo. The results of the questionnaire revealed that 64.5% of respondents thought that online discussion groups were the most convenient platform to use in online learning, while video conference (90,3%) recorded the least. Regarding feedback, 53.8% of respondents chose corrective information on the work of the learner as the preferred form of feedback compared to the other two. At the end of this article, also suggested some ways for teachers to provide feedbacks based on the distance learning platform used in The New Normal Era. Abstract

Textbooks used in schools affect the quality of mathematics learning in the country. Indonesian Ministry of Education (Kemendikbud) already lauched students’ and teachers’ textbook that are distributed nationally on 2013; however improvements are needed to revise the textbooks since there are concerns such as the difficulty level of problems contained in the textbooks. The main objective of this study is to compare non-routine problems contained in mathematics textbooks used in Indonesia and Singapore. This is a qualitative research with content analysis design. Researchers compare Singaporean and Indonesian mathematics textbook since Singapore got higher rank in mathematics based on PISA result in 2018. The topic in this study is limited to Pythagorean Theorem. The result of the research shows that Indonesia and Singapore has consecutively 22,1% and 11,3% non-routine problem. Another finding of this study was Singaporean mathematics textbook focused more on developing students’ fluency of solving problems, meanwhile Indonesian mathematics textbook focused more on students’ reasoning ability. The results and findings in this paper are expected to provide input in developing future mathematics textbooks.

Abstract

Media manipulatif memiliki peran memberikan pengalaman konkret pada peserta didik mengenai suatu konsep yang abstrak. Media manipulatif jaring-jaring kubus yang kerap digunakan dalam pembelajaran masih memberikan kebebasan terbatas pada peserta didik untuk mengeksplorasi konsep abstrak bangun ruang khususnya kubus. Dalam penelitian kualitatif ini dideskripsikan mengenai simulasi penerapan media manipulatif jaring-jaring kubus yang terbentuk dari potongan persegi yang dapat direkatkan satu sama lain beserta masukan dari observer dan peserta simulasi. Dari hasil observasi dan angket diperoleh bahwa media ini antara lain memiliki unsur novelty dan mengajarkan konsep kubus secara tepat. Perbaikan yang bisa dilakukan untuk mengembangkan media ini adalah mempertimbangkan bahan perekat yang lebih baik, memberikan warna yang menarik, serta memperbaiki Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik penyerta media.

Abstract

Abstract: This article explained the Class Action Research carried out at SDN 25 Nanga Danau on the material Honesty and Justice which is material for Catholic Religious Education and Ethics class V elementary school by applying the Question-and-Answer Method. This research has a classical success indicator that at least 85% of students achieve Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) 75 in the posttest given to measure cognitive learning outcomes. Of the 18 class V students, in the first cycle of the action research, only 33% of students had reached KKM, noting that the implementation of the Q&A Method had not been optimally applied by the teacher. By the end of the second cycle, success indicators are achieved with 89% of learners having achieved KKM scores. The conclusion of this study is that the Q&A Method can improve the learning outcomes of Catholic Religious Education and Ethics of class V students in the material Honesty and Justice at SDN Nanga Danau.Keyword: Learning Outcome, Q&A Method, Catholic Religious Education and Ethics Abstrak: Dalam artikel ini dijelaskan mengenai Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan di SDN 25 Nanga Danau pada materi Kejujuran dan Keadilan yang merupakan materi Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti kelas V SD dengan menerapkan Metode Tanya Jawab. PTK ini memiliki indikator keberhasilan klasikal yaitu setidaknya 85% peserta didik mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) 75 pada posttest yang diberikan untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif. Dari 18 peserta didik kelas V, pada siklus I diperoleh bahwa baru 33% peserta didik yang mencapai KKM, dengan catatan pelaksanaan Metode Tanya Jawab belum maksimal diterapkan oleh guru pengajar. Pada akhir siklus II, indikator keberhasilan tercapai dengan 89% peserta didik telah mencapai nilai KKM. Kesimpulan yang dapat ditarik dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa Metode Tanya Jawab dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti peserta didik kelas V dalam materi Kejujuran dan Keadilan di SDN Nanga Danau.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Metode Tanya Jawab, Pendidikan Agama Katolik dan Budi Pekerti
