Abstract

Ashitaba leaves have many vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, and has the potential to be a feed supplement to chicken growth. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential of Ashitaba leaf flour as a source of probiotics in feed on levels of broiler abdominal fat production. 25 DOC broilers were kept for 35 days. The treatment was the addition of Ashitaba leaf flour in basal feed with different levels ; P0 (0% Ashitaba Leaf Flour + 98% Basal Feed + 2% Filler); P1 (0.5% Ashitaba Leaf Flour + 98% Basal Feed + 1.5% Filler); P2 (1% Ashitaba Leaf Flour + 98% Basal Feed + 1% Filler); P3 (1.5% Ashitaba leaf meal + 98% Basal feed + 0.5% Filler) and; P4 (2% Ashitaba leaf flour + 98% Basal feed + 0% Filler). The data obtained were analyzed using variance and if there were significant differences it would be further tested with the Duncan Distance Test. The results showed that giving Ashitaba Leaf Flour up to a level of 2% had a significant on increasing the weight of broiler (P> 0.05) but had no significant (P> 0.05) on the weight of abdominal fat and the percentage of abdominal fat.

Abstract

Tujuan kegiatan bimbingan teknis pengolahan jerami padi menjadi pakan sapi potong pada musim kemarau di lahan kering untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan merubah sikap milenial calon pengusaha sapi potong peserta bimbingan teknis agar mau dan mampu mengolah jerami padi sebagai solusi untuk mengatasi kesulitan penyediaan pakan sapi potong yang terbatas pada musim kemarau di lahan kering. Metode bimbingan teknis yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut adalah kombinasi metode penyuluhan gelar teknologi (showcase technology), tatap muka langsung dan penyebaran lembaran informasi (liptan). Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap peserta bintek pada kelima indikator penilaian teknologi pembuatan hay rata-rata 26,91%; pembuatan amoniasi basah meningkat 29,31% dan pembuatan amoniasi kering meningkat 25,47%. Simpulannya kegiatan bimbingan teknis pengolahan jerami padi menjadi pakan sapi potong dengan metode gelar teknologi pembuatan hay, amoniasi basah dan amoniasi kering mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta merubah sikap peserta bimbingan teknis dalam menyebarluaskan hasil binteknya kepada peternak lainnya, sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai solusi alternatif untuk mengatasi kesulitan penyedian pakan sapi potong pada musim kemarau di lahan kering. Technical Guidance for Processing Rice Straw into Beef Cattle Feed during the Dry Season on Dry Land  The aims of the technical guidance activity for processing rice straw into beef cattle feed in the dry season on dry land is to increase knowledge, and skills and change the attitude of millennial prospective beef cattle entrepreneurs participating in technical guidance so that they are willing and able to process rice straw as a solution to overcome difficulties in providing beef cattle feed that limited to the dry season on dry land. The technical guidance method used to solve the problem is a combination of face-to-face counseling methods with showcase technology and the distribution of information sheets. The results of this study showed an average increase in knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the participants in the five indicators of haymaking technology assessment of 26.91%; the manufacture of wet ammonia increased by 29.31%, and the manufacture of dry ammonia by 25.47%. In conclusion, the technology guidance activities for rice straw processing with the showcase technology method of making hay, wet ammonia, and dry ammonia can be used as a solution to overcome the difficulties of providing beef cattle feed in the dry season on dry land because it can increase knowledge and skills and change the attitude of participants in technical guidance in disseminating the results of their technical guidance to other farmers.

Abstract

West Nusa Tenggara Province is one of the centers for beef cattle production in Indonesia, which was set by the Ministry of Agriculture as a pilot program for the 1000 village cattle program in realizing national beef self-sufficiency. The supporting factor for the success of the 1000 village cattle program is the provision of feed throughout the year. The existence of a feed bank is expected to be a solution to overcome the limited supply of feed, especially in the dry season. The Bumbang Wetan Feed Bank in Mertak Village is a feed bank that is expected to supply animal feed needs in five pilot villages of the 1000 village cattle program in Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency. To determine the sustainability status of the feed bank in supporting the 1000 village cattle program, a study was carried out in June-August 2021. The determination of the sustainability status of the feed bank was based on the sensitive attributes of the three dimensions studied, namely: (1) availability of feed ingredients; (2) production, pricing, and distribution systems; (3) HR management. These attributes are arranged referring to the results of primary data collection using a questionnaire. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Determination of the sustainability status of the feed bank is carried out using the Multi-Dimensional Scaling method with the Rapid Appraisal Beef Cattle Feed Bank Smallholder approach. The results showed that the sustainability value of the three dimensions was 50.59, so it was concluded that the status of the feed bank was in the less sustainable category in supporting the 1000 village cattle program

Abstract

The incidence of the disease is one of the problems faced by beef cattle farms in Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara Province in increasing the production and productivity of livestock. On smallholder livestock, beef cattle are maintained intensively using a collective cage group, making it easier to manage and promote them. This aim is to analyze the status of the sustainability of the development of beef cattle smallholder farming based on collective cages in Lombok Island from the dimension of disease incidence. The method used to determine the sustainability status is Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) with the Rapid Appraisal Beef Cattle Diseases (RAPBCD) approach of 20 diseases as attributes. The sensitive attributes that affect the sustainability index and the effect of errors are determined based on the Leverage analysis and Monte Carlo test. The results of the sustainability analysis showed that the status of the dimensions of the disease incidence dimension was 56.38%. The analysis results of the 20 diseases as attributes studied, 9 diseases (diarrhea, scabies, flatulence, itching, demodec, pink eye, anthrax, reproductive, epizootic septimea) are sensitive attributes and need to be improved because they will affect increasing the value of the sustainability index. Determination of the key factors of sustainability is obtained by prospective analysis to determine the future strategy for the development of collective cage-based beef cattle smallholder farming. The conclusion is that the status of the sustainability of the development of collective cage-based beef cattle smallholder farming on Lombok Island from the dimension of disease incidence is in a fairly sustainable category with four recommended development strategies, namely: strategies to improve beef cattle health management; increasing access to information and livestock health technology; increasing the role of the government, businessmen, and other stakeholders and strengthening farmer institutions, farmer economic institutions.

Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam penyusunan proposal riset eksakta pada Pekan Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) menjadi dasar dilaksanakannya kegiatan Pengabdian. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan dalam penulisan proposal bidang riset eksakta pada Pekan Kreativitas Mahasiswa. Subjek dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah 10 orang mahasiswa Fakultas Sains Teknik dan Terapan (FSTT) Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan dua metode, yaitu knowledge transfer dan Model Community Development, dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian secara umum dapat dikatakan berhasil, terbukti dengan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam pembuatan proposal, serta respon mahasiswa terhadap kegiatan pengabdian yang sangat baik. Kegiatan-kegiatan ilmiah seperti ini harus menjadi bagian dari akademik sebagai upaya meningkatkan literasi ilmiah mahasiswa, sehingga mereka ke depannya mampu menyusun proposal pada kegiatan PKM.

Abstract

Tujuan gelar teknologi pembuatan Urea Molases Mineral Garam Blok (UMMGB) untuk meningkatkan motivasi peternak muda dalam bidang agribisnis sapi potong di Pulau Lombok. Mitra dalam pelaksanaan gelar teknologi adalah kelompok milenial calon wirausaha agribisnis sapi potong di Pulau Lombok. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah gelar teknologi yang dikombinasi dengan kegiatan penyuluhan tatap muka langsung dan penyebaran lembaran informasi pembuatan UMMGB.  Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui gelar teknologi menunjukkan tingkat pengetahuan peserta gelar meningkat sangat nyata dari 13,79% menjadi 91,38%. Jumlah peserta yang terampil dalam membuat UMMGB juga meningkat dari 12,07% meningkat menjadi 86,21%, bahkan seluruh peserta gelar mau membuat UMMGB setelah mengikuti kegiatan gelar teknologi. Simpulannya gelar teknologi merupakan metode diseminasi teknologi baru yang sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap/minat milenial calon wirausaha agribisnis sapi potong dalam pembuatan Urea Molases Mineral Garam Blok (UMMGB) sebagai pakan tambahan sapi potong. Pelaksanaan gelar teknologi pembuatan UMMGB direkomendasi untuk disebarluaskan sebagai teknologi baru untuk meningkatkan kualiatas pakan sapi potong   Showcase Technology for Making Urea Mineral Molasses Salt Block for Millennial Candidates for Beef Cattle Agribusiness Entrepreneurs on Lombok Island The purpose of the showcase technology for making Urea Molasses Mineral Salt Block (UMMGB) is to increase the motivation of young farmers in the field of beef cattle agribusiness on the island of Lombok. Partners in implementing the showcase technology are millennial groups of prospective beef cattle agribusiness entrepreneurs on the island of Lombok. The method used in the implementation of community service is a show case technology combined with direct face-to-face extension activities and the dissemination of information sheets for making UMMGB. The results of community service through showcase technology show that the level of knowledge of the participants has increased significantly from 13.79% to 91.38%. The number of skilled participants in making UMMGB also increased from 12.07% to 86.21%, even all degree participants wanted to make UMMGB after participating in technology degree activities. In conclusion, the technology degree is a very effective method of disseminating new technology to increase the knowledge, skills, and attitudes/interests of millennial prospective beef cattle agribusiness entrepreneurs in the manufacture of Urea Molasses Mineral Salt Block (UMMGB) as additional feed for beef cattle. The implementation of the UMMGB manufacturing technology degree is recommended to be disseminated as a new technology to improve the quality of beef cattle feed

Abstract

Kelompoktani Ternak Kamboja di Desa Kalijaga Timur Kecamatan Aikmel Kabupaten Lombok Timur Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat adalah mitra dalam pelaksanaan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat Internal Undikma Tahun 2022. Ada tiga masalah utama yang dihadapi mitra dalam rangka meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan anggotanya, yaitu: (1) kelangkaan pupuk bersubsidi, (2) rendahnya tingkat pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap mitra dalam pembuatan pupuk organik dan (3) belum mengenal pupuk organik eksmecat. Metode diseminasi teknologi yang ditawarkan sebagai solusi mengatasi masalah mitra adalah gelar teknologi produksi pupuk organik eksmecat. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa gelar teknologi dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap petani peternak sapi potong anggota kelompoktani ternak Kamboja dalam pembuatan pupuk organik eksmecat mencapai 100%. Produksi pupuk organik eksmecat yang dihasilkan mencapai 2,083 kg per hari atau sekitar 500 kg pupuk organik eksmecat selama 40 hari budidaya dengan menggunakan 6 kg cacing tanah Eisenia foetida sebagai dekomposernya. Simpulannya bahwa gelar teknologi merupakan metode diseminasi teknologi baru yang sangat efektif karena mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap petani peternak sapi potong anggota kelompoktani ternak Kamboja dalam memproduksi pupuk organik eksmecat Dengan demikian, teknologi ini dapat diterapkan secara massal untuk mengatasi kelangkaan pupuk subsidi yang dihadapi petani selama ini.  Eksmecat Organic Fertilizer Production Technology Degree To Overcome the Scarcity of Subsidized Fertilizers in Cambodian Livestock Farmer Groups Abstract: The Kamboja Livestock Farmer's Group in East Kalijaga Village, Aikmel District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province is a partner in the implementation of the Undikma Internal Community Partnership Program in 2022. There are three main problems faced by partners in order to increase the income and welfare of its members, namely: (1) the scarcity of fertilizers subsidized, (2) low level of knowledge, skills and attitudes of partners in the manufacture of organic fertilizers and (3) not familiar with organic fertilizer Eksmecat. The technology dissemination method offered as a solution to overcome partner problems is the show case technology for the production of eksmecat organic fertilizer. The results of this study indicate that a show case technology can increase the knowledge, skills and attitudes of beef cattle farmers, members of the Cambodian cattle farmer group, in the manufacture of organic fertilizers by up to 100%. The production of eksmecat organic fertilizer reached 2,083 kg per day or about 500 kg of organic eksmecat fertilizer for 40 days of cultivation using 6 kg of earthworm Eisenia foetida as decomposer. The conclusion is that the show case technology is a very effective method of disseminating new technology because it is able to improve the knowledge, skills and attitudes of beef cattle farmers, members of Kamboja livestock farmer groups, in producing organic fertilizers. so far.
