Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, we introduce some fundamentally properties of Zak linear canonical transform (LCZT) such as linearity and translation properties. LCZT is developing of Zak transform ( ZT) and linear canonical transform (LCT). Keywords:    linear canonical Zak transform; Zak transform; linear canonical transform; linearity property; translation property.  AbstrakDalam jurnal ini akan diungkapkan beberapa sifat fundamental dari transformasi Zak linear kanonik (LCZT), yaitu sifat linear dan sifat translasi. LCZT merupakan hasil pengembangan dari dua buah transformasi yaitu transformasi Zak (ZT) dan transformasi linear kanonik (LCT). Kata kunci:Transformasi Zak linear kanonik; transformasi Zak; transformasi linear kanonik; sifat linear; sifattranslasi.

Abstract

The fractional Fourier transform is one of the generalizations of ordinary Fourier transform that depend on a particular angle . In this paper we will derive the fractional Fourier transforms of a function that is well known in the field of analysis, namely Gaussian function.

Abstract

The fixed point theory remains the most important and preferred topic studied in mathematical analysis. This study discusses sufficient conditions to prove a unique fixed point in quasi-αb-metric spaces with cyclic mapping. The analysis starts by showing fulfillment of the cyclic Banach contraction and proving the Cauchy sequence as a condition for proving a unique fixed point in quasi-αb-metric spaces with cyclic mapping. Furthermore, it's shown that the cyclic mappings, T have a unique fixed point in quasi-αb-metric spaces. Finally, an example is given to strengthen the proof of the theorems that have been done.Keywords: fixed point theory; Quasi -Metric spaces; Cyclic Banach Contraction; Cauchy sequence. AbstrakTeori titik tetap termasuk salah satu topik penting dan menarik untuk diteliti pada bidang analisis. Pada penelitian ini, dibahas tentang syarat cukup dalam membuktikan bahwa terdapat titik tetap tunggal dalam ruang quasi- b-metrik pada pemetaan siklik. Analisis diawali dengan menunjukkan pemenuhan kondisi kontraksi Banach siklik dan pembuktian barisan Cauchy sebagai syarat pembuktian bahwa terdapat titik tetap tunggal pada pemetaan siklik dalam ruang quasi- b-metrik. Selanjutnya ditunjukkan bahwa pemetaan siklik  memiliki titik tetap tunggal dalam ruang quasi b-metrik. Terakhir, diberikan contoh untuk memperkuat pembuktian teorema yang telah dilakukan.Kata Kunci: teori titik tetap; ruang Quasi -Metrik; Kontraksi Banach Siklik; barisan Cauchy.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze student learning difficulties in advanced calculus courses. This research is a qualitative descriptive study which was conducted in December 2021using test, observation, questionnaire and interview techniques to 27 students of mathematics education class 2020 Gorontalo State University. The results showed that the number of students who obtained UTS score less than 75 reached 77.78% and the number of students who obtained an UAS score less than 75 reached 66.66% and the percentage of students who did not pass the UTS and UAS was around 30%. This fact shows that there are students' difficulties in understanding advanced calculus material. Furthermore, based on the results of questionnaires, interviews, and observations obtained several aspects that cause learning difficulties, namely 1) the initial ability (prior knowledge) related to students' advanced calculus courses is low; 2) advanced calculus material which is abstract and difficult; 3) online learning methods have not taken place optimally Keyword: Analysis, mathematics learning difficulties Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah kalkulus lanjut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2021 dengan teknik tes, observasi, kuesioner dan wawancara terhadap 27 mahasiswa pendidikan matematika angkatan 2020 Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa banyaknya mahasiswa yang memperoleh nilai UTS kurang dari 75 mencapai 77,78 % dan banyaknya mahasiswa yang memperoleh nilai UAS kurang dari 75 mencapai 66,66% serta persentase mahasiswa yang tidak lulus pada UTS dan UAS berkisar 30%. Fakta ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya kesulitan mahasiswa dalam memahami materi kalkulus lanjut. Selanjutnya berdasarkan hasil angket, wawancara, dan observasi diperoleh beberapa aspek yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar yakni 1) kemampuan awal (prior knowledge) yang terkait dengan mata kuliah kalkulus lanjut mahasiswa rendah; 2) materi kalkulus lanjut yang abstrak dan sulit; 3) metode pembelajaran daring belum berlangsung secara optimal. Kata Kunci: Analisis, kesulitan belajar matematika.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mengkaji tentang sebuah generalisasi graf tak berarah dengan fokus pada pada himpunan bagian terbatas dari bilangan asli. Generalisasi ini adalah sebuah pendekatan rigor untuk teori graf. Beberapa sifat fundamental dari generalisasi graf tak berarah akan menjadi fokus dalam tulisan ini.

Abstract

This study aims to determine student perceptions of the ideal mathematics learning during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that was carried out using observation, questionnaire, and interview techniques with 36 students of mathematics education class 2020 at Gorontalo State University who had participated in online learning for 2 semesters. The results showed that mathematics learning carried out during the covid-19 pandemic was still not ideal with a percentage of 91.6% due to the nature of difficult and abstract mathematics material and there were several repeated obstacles that occurred in the online learning process, namely: 1) teachers were less proficient in the use of online platforms; 2) teaching is carried out using only sound (audio); 3) the internet network is less stable so that students cannot participate in online learning. The recommendations for the ideal mathematics learning are: 1) in the online learning process the teacher must be able to master (proficiently) use the online platform used; 2) teachers must be able to design innovative and fun learning by utilizing the features available on the platform or utilizing objects that are around students; 3) teachers can provide learning resources that can be accessed at any time so as to facilitate students in order not to miss the subject matter.

Abstract

Pemetaan kontraksi Reich siklik pada ruang kuasi αB-metrik akan diperkenalkan dalam tulisan ini. Akan ditunjukkan bahwa setiap pemetaan kontraksi Reich siklik memiliki titik tetap yang tunggal. Selain itu, diberikan pula contoh fungsi yang memenuhi kontraksi Reich siklik.

Abstract

In time series data research, it is often encountered the problem of lack of available time and budget. So often found the presence of censored data. Censored data can be analyzed using the partial likelihood method. However, other obstacles will arise if the processed data contains ties. So it is necessary to use other methods that can overcome the co-occurrence. In this study, the Breslow method is used to estimate the censored data due to joint events. This method is applied to the case of patients with burns. The variables used are the method of treatment, gender, race and type of burn. The results of the analysis showed that race did not give a significant difference to the incidence of cutting burned organs. While the other three variables showed significant differences at the 95% confidence level. The results of the analysis using the Cox proportional hazard method showed that patients treated with the body cleansing method had 17% greater risk of cutting than those treated with the body routhine bathing.

Abstract

Cholera is an infectious disease that attacks the human digestive system and can cause death. This article discusses the research results related to the mathematical model of the spread of cholera in the form of an optimal control system by combining three control strategies: vaccination, quarantine, and environmental sanitation. Pontryagin's maximum principle is applied to obtain optimal conditions based on the control strategy applied. Referring to the optimal conditions set, the model was solved numerically using the Runge-Kutta Order 4 method to describe the theoretical results. The calculation results show that applying the three control strategies in controlling the spread of cholera positively impacts reducing the number of cases of infection so that disease transmission can be discontinued.

Abstract

Employee scheduling is an activity plan for time sharing that contains a schedule for carrying out planned activities in the form of a table. This study aims to create an employee schedule model using a Genetic Algorithm, which is a heuristic method inspired by the process of natural selection, the strong will survive and reproduce, the stages of the Genetic Algorithm are population initialization, fitness value, selection, crossover, and mutation. The study results show an optimal model consisting of at most two shifts with a maximum of two holidays a week and not consecutively.
