Abstract

Background: Adolescent girls are vulnerable to reproductive health problems such as genitalia infections, due to lack of personal hygiene during menstruation. Adolescent girls' attitudes towards personal hygiene during menstruation can be influenced by several factors, including the level of knowledge about menstruation and socio-cultural aspects that influence perceptions of personal hygiene during menstruation.Objectives: This study was conducted to analyze the relationship between knowledge and social culture with attitudes about personal hygiene during menstruation among adolescent girls.Methods: This study uses quantitative correlation with a cross sectional approach. Sampling using purposive sampling with a total of 112 adolescent girls. The research was conducted at MTS Al-Hidayah Satron, Tasikmalya Regency in April-July 2023. Data were collected using knowledge, socio-cultural, and attitude questionnaires about personal hygiene during menstruation. Data were analysed using univariate and bivariate with Spearman rank.Results: The results of research on adolescent girls mostly have poor knowledge as many as 51 people (45.5%), most of them were 62 people (55,4%) with unsupportive socio-culture, and most of them were 65 people (58%) with negative attitude. The statistical test results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and attitude about personal hygiene during menstruation with a p-value of 0.001 and there was a relationship between social culture and attitude about personal hygiene during menstruation with a p-value of 0.000.Conclusions: Knowledge and social culture of adolescent girls are associated with attitudes about personal hygiene during menstruation. Further research is needed to change the attitude of adolescent girls about personal hygiene during menstruation by increasing the knowledge and socio-culture of adolescent girls so that they can perform personal hygiene during menstruation.

Abstract

HIV infection is one of the three threats to reproductive health in adolescents (TRIAD Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja). In order to reduce this risk to adolescents, a strategy is needed to prevent this problem by providing education through electronic modules or e-modules. Education with e-modules is expected to increase adolescent self-efficacy in preventing HIV risk behaviour. This study purpose was to determine the effect of education through e-module on changes in self-efficacy to prevent HIV risk behaviour in adolescents. This quantitative study used a single group pretest-posttest research design. The sample in this study were VIII grade junior high school students at one of the private schools in Bandung Regency which consisted of several classes by providing education using e-modules. There were 40 students involved in this research. The intervention given to students was education about the dangers of HIV and risk behaviours using E-Module of TRIAD Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja. Meanwhile, the instrument used in the study was the self-efficacy assessment instrument for the prevention of HIV-risk behaviour. The results of the study found that there was a change in the scores of self-efficacy in the prevention of HIV risk behaviour in students, before and after education through e-modules. Therefore, it can be concluded that e-module is effective in increasing adolescent self-efficacy. The results of this study become recommendations for academics and practitioners who are involved in the health sector for adolescents to implement an intervention to prevent risky behaviours that threaten adolescents, especially in relation to HIV/AIDS problems.

Abstract

Kecemasan akademik seringkali muncul pada mahasiswa yang berada pada fase penyelesaian studi dan dapat memengaruhi keyakinan diri dalam menghadapi tuntutan akademik. Efikasi diri didefinisikan sebagai kepercayaan seorang individu terhadap kapabilitasnya dalam menuntaskan tanggung jawab akademik secara efisien. Studi ini mengeksplorasi korelasi antara efikasi diri dan kecemasan akademik pada 193 mahasiswa tingkat akhir di sebuah Fakultas Kesehatan swasta di Bandung. Menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional potong lintang dengan teknik total sampling, data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS) serta The Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (TASES). Analisis data melalui uji Spearman mengungkapkan adanya hubungan negatif yang signifikan (r = -0,201; p = 0,005), di mana sebagian besar partisipan memiliki kecemasan ringan (68,4%) dan efikasi diri moderat (60,6%). Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa tingginya kecemasan berbanding terbalik dengan efikasi diri mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, ketersediaan bantuan psikologis dan akademik dari institusi sangat krusial bagi mahasiswa di akhir masa studi mereka

Abstract

Partisipasi remaja dalam kegiatan Posyandu Remaja masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, salah satunya terkait keterbatasan program pengembangan kader yang belum sepenuhnya berbasis kebutuhan lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan program kader remaja sebagai tahap awal dalam perancangan program yang lebih sistematis. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Ibrahim Adjie, Kota Bandung. Data dikumpulkan melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD) yang melibatkan tenaga kesehatan, pemangku kepentingan komunitas, dan remaja, dengan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan utama dalam pengembangan kader remaja meliputi penguatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, variasi metode dan media edukasi yang sesuai dengan karakteristik remaja, peningkatan strategi keterlibatan remaja, serta dukungan kebijakan dan sarana prasarana. Temuan kebutuhan ini diposisikan sebagai bagian dari tahap Analisis dalam model ADDIE, yang berfungsi sebagai dasar dalam merumuskan arah perancangan program pada tahap Design dan Development selanjutnya. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa analisis kebutuhan yang komprehensif merupakan fondasi penting dalam menyusun program kaderisasi remaja yang relevan, berkelanjutan, dan kontekstual bagi penguatan layanan Posyandu Remaja
