Abstract

The domestic coffee industry is quite diverse, ranging from small-scale industries to the international coffee market. One of the MSMEs producing processed coffee in the city of Bandung is Djamudju Roast Bean. The problem that occurs in the coffee business is the decline in sales and some shortcomings in consumer assessments regarding the quality and appearance of coffee packaging. The product development strategy that can be done is by developing primary packaging. Therefore, it is necessary to develop product packaging design according to consumer preferences. The objective achieved is to produce coffee packaging design according to consumer preferences using the Kansei Engineering method. Application of Kansei Engineering Method, using 20 Kansei Words with 5 packaging design elements (material, label, shape, color, and accessories). Questionnaires were given to 67 respondents to find out consumer preferences for Djamudju Roast Bean coffee packaging and 16 samples of similar coffee packaging. Conjoin analysis was conducted to determine the relationship between 20 Kansei words and 5 coffee packaging design elements (material, label, shape, color, and accessories). Based on the results obtained, the design of a combination of coffee packaging in accordance with consumer preferences based on 20 Kansei words is packaging with aluminum foil material, with digital printing labels, gusset pouch shapes, many colors and zipper lock accessories. It is expected that from the new packaging design based on consumer preferences, the product will be able to compete in the market in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

MSMEs are one of the business sectors in Indonesia that are able to survive amidst the pandemic and weakening global economic conditions. One of these MSME groups is the Kecimpring MSMEs in Wangunsari Village, Sindangkerta District, West Bandung Regency. Wangunsari Village is located in a very strategic area as it is an alternative route for tourists to and from Lembang. Apart from this, the quality and variety of Kecimpring products, a typical Sundanese food, is an added value to the development potential of this business. See this valuable potential, it is necessary to make sustainable development efforts such as supporting the production process, optimising inventory, improving packaging and digital marketing. Sangga Buana University's Industrial Engineering study programme, which has resources in product development, production management and digital marketing, is trying to play an active role in the evolving MSMEs in Wangunsari village. This active role is excecuted under the umbrella of Community Service (PKM) activities initiated by a team from the Faculty of Engineering, Sangga Buana University, in collaboration with the Wangunsari Village Government. The coaching activities will take the form of conducting focus group discussions on the importance of digital marketing for MSME stakeholders. It is imminent that the understanding gained by the MSME players about digital marketing can encourage the MSME players to start moving towards the use of digital media in the marketing of their products to a far-reaching area.

Abstract

Reverse logistics is an item management activity that is no longer used by consumers or goods in the form of return from partners in the supply chain to be returned to the origin, because the product is unfunctional properly or the function of the item is not needed. Home appliances products within a certain period of time, these products must be replaced because they cannot technically function properly. The process of producing, using, and disposing of electronic products has an impact on the environment of the earth and the universe. If electronic waste is left without a policy to process it, there will be a buildup of electronic waste everywhere and will burden the environment. While this electronic product waste still contains economic value that can still be utilized. Therefore it is necessary to identify electronic waste handling activities, namely those that have material flow characteristics from the customer to the producer (reverse logistics), so as to provide added value.
