Abstract

Pemberian pupuk organik tidak hanya untuk menyubur tanah untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil padi melainkan menghasilkan beras bermutu dan bebas dari sisa-sisa residu bahan kimia sintesis untuk keamanan dan ketahanan pangan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik kompos biogas kotoran sapi dan berbagai jarak tanam untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil padi sawah. Penelitian dilaksanakan Kelurahan Malawele Distrik Aimas Kabupaten Sorong pada bulan Januari sampai bulan Maret 2021. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam bentuk percobaan faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan yang disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK). Faktor utama sebagai pupuk terdiri dari tiga taraf perlakuan yaitu, B0 = 0 kg/plot, B1= 3 kg/plot, B2 = 5 kg/plot. Faktor kedua; jarak tanam terdiri dari tiga taraf perlakuan yaitu; J1 = 25 cm x 30 cm, J2 = 30 cm x 40 cm dan J3 = 40 cm x 40 cm. Kedua faktor tersebut diperoleh 9 kombinasi perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan produksi gabah kering panen (GKP) tertinggi yaitu sebesar 6,73 t/ha terdapat pada perlakuan B2 = dosis 5 kg/plot (8 t/ha), diikuti perlakuan B1 yaitu 5,66 t/ha dan B0 yaitu 3,82 t/ha.

Abstract

Upaya untuk membuat pertanian organik sukses membutuhkan dukungan dari pemerintah daerah melalui kolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak, terutama kampus untuk memberikan peraturan yang mendukung pengembangan sumber daya manusia bagi petani sehingga mereka dapat mandiri dan bertanggung jawab atas produksi makanan sehat dan aman untuk kesehatan untuk kesehatan dan lingkungan. Kegiatan Layanan Masyarakat dilakukan di Grup Petani Shoots yang baru, Desa Malawele, Distrik Aimas, Kabupaten Sorong pada bulan Desember 2022. Hasil kegiatan layanan masyarakat diketahui telah mengubah pola pikir petani menuju penting Tanaman untuk Keberlanjutan lahan pertanian. Selain itu, biaya produksi yang dikeluarkan untuk mendapatkan pupuk organik lebih murah daripada pupuk anorganik. Diharapkan bahwa penggunaan pupuk organik, baik cair maupun padat, akan mendorong peningkatan produksi makanan yang berkualitas baik dan aman bagi konsumen

Abstract

Rice cultivation techniques in swampland are one of the important factors in supporting yield productivity and farmer income. Unfortunately, the land has not been optimally optimized because the human resources of farmers are still low. The purpose of mentoring and practicum is to increase shared knowledge between students and farmers regarding swamp rice cultivation techniques properly and correctly. The results of practicum and mentoring activities show that there is real social interaction between students and farmers, where students gain knowledge and field experience. Meanwhile, farmers obtained new information and knowledge related to rice cultivation in swamps.

Abstract

Rice is one of the important food commodities in Indonesia. The extensification of swamp land is expected to play a role in supporting the increase in national rice production. The objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of promising strains of swamp rice produced by BB-Biogen breeding tolerant to Fe poisoning in the shallow swamp area of Sorong-Southwest Papua. The experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) with three replications and 17 genotypes as treatments. The observed characters include the growth and yield component characters. Data analysis included analysis of variance to find out the differences between each test lines and continued with the LSI test to obtain the expected lines that performed well and were superior in the Sorong lebak swamps. The results of the analysis of variance showed that there were significant differences in all the characters tested. The results showed that TT, JAT and JAP showed the best results including the G21 and G11 lines, the G7 line had the highest percentage of filled grain, the G6 line had the heaviest 1000 grain weight. While the G1 and G7 lines had the highest yields per plot equivalent to 6.15 and 5.92 t/ha,

Abstract

As an effort to educate the lives of people in rural areas, the government and higher education institutions (PT) always collaborate and synergize to provide assistance and counseling to the community, especially farmers so that farmers' skills and knowledge of innovation and new technology can be increased to increase production yields and family economic income. . Community service activities (PkM) will be held on December 26, 2022. The aim of PkM is to transfer fertilization science and technology that is environmentally friendly, while at the same time utilizing it for the sustainability of farming land. The method used in PkM activities is in the form of counseling in the form of lectures and cultivation assistance. The results achieved from the PkM activities are the creation of better farming conditions compared to the previous conditions, where in an organic crop cultivation system it is known that the land is gradually being improved. Even so, massive assistance is needed to develop farmer awareness and enthusiasm to more intensively implement organic-based farming systems in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Assistance in the practice of demonstration plots aims in addition to measuring the skills and capacity of farmers towards the adopted cultivation technology, as well as encourage farmers to return to nature by using Biosaka from natural materials (leaves) available in the surrounding environment as a substitute for chemical fertilizers. This activity was carried out in the farmer group Cendrawasi Jl. tuturuga Klamalu Village Mariat District Sorong Regency Southwest Papua in April to June, 2023 by involving students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University of Sorong (Unamin). The method applied in community service and empowerment activities to the community or farmers is the method of learning by doing. The achievements resulting from the mentoring activities of sweet corn cultivation demonstration plot practices with Elisitor Bisosaka include making plants grow lush, healthy, increasing sweet corn production by about 50%, in addition, the use of Elisitor Biosaka can save fertilizer and pesticide costs by about 50-60 %,

Abstract

Organic farming is an alternative that is expected to increase agricultural productivity while maintaining the sustainability of agricultural land and the surrounding environment. The service activity was held in Malasom, Aimas District, Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua Province, in May of 2023. The service activity aims to explore the implementation of organic farming education for farmer groups in Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua. The service method applied to the community and farmer groups is a participatory approach that has the participation of various parties, including the Malasom village government, RT heads, partner farmer groups, and local journalists. The implementation of organic farming socialization and extension activities carried out includes location surveys, presentation of extension materials and discussions, field visits and demonstrations, as well as evaluation and monitoring. The results of this program show that there is an increase in knowledge by applying organic crop cultivation practices on a small scale by making compost and its application to plants and improving the quality of agricultural products, reducing the use of chemical pesticides, and increasing farmers' income.
