Abstract

Economic growth is a key indicator for assessing the success of a country’s development, including Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effect of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), per capita income, and technology budget as a moderating variable on Indonesia’s economic growth during the 1993–2023 period. Using annual panel data over 31 years, the analysis employed panel data regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) to examine the relationships among variables. The results show that both FDI and per capita income have a positive and significant influence on national economic growth. Furthermore, the technology budget acts as a moderating factor that strengthens the relationship between FDI and economic growth, showing a positive and significant coefficient. These findings indicate that increasing foreign investment and per capita income are key drivers of Indonesia’s economic expansion. Moreover, government support through technology budget allocation enhances national economic competitiveness by fostering innovation and production efficiency. Therefore, policies that promote a conducive investment climate, income equality, and technological advancement should be prioritized to ensure sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression analysis across selected Indonesian provinces during the period 2014 to 2024. The dependent variable is structural poverty, measured through composite indicators reflecting chronic poverty, exclusion from basic services, and intergenerational deprivation. Independent variables include corruption in public procurement, effectiveness of supervisory institutions, and inequality in social budget allocation. Data are obtained from secondary sources, including Statistics Indonesia (BPS), the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW), and Transparency International. The results are expected to demonstrate that corruption in public procurement and unequal social budget allocation significantly increase structural poverty, while weak effectiveness of supervisory institutions exacerbates governance failures that sustain poverty traps. This study contributes empirically to the literature by integrating governance and poverty indicators within a panel data framework. The findings are expected to provide policy relevant insights for strengthening institutional oversight, improving transparency in public spending, and designing more equitable and effective poverty reduction strategies in Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the economic scale and the influence of capital, labor, and raw materials on production in the jajan Begina industry in Luwus Village, Baturiti Sub-district, Tabanan Regency. The jajan Begina industry is a household-based enterprise with significant potential to support the local economy and absorb labor, particularly during religious holidays in Bali. This research employs a quantitative method using the Cobb-Douglas multiple linear regression model. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 96 respondents using accidental sampling techniques. The variables examined in this study include capital, labor, raw materials, and production. The analysis was conducted to determine the simultaneous and partial effects of the independent variables on production, as well as to assess the industry’s economic scale. The findings reveal that capital, labor, and raw materials simultaneously have a significant effect on production. Partially, capital exerts the most dominant influence on production, with a regression coefficient of 0.561, followed by raw materials at 0.073, and labor at 0.028. The total regression coefficient value of 0.662 (>1) indicates that the jajan Begina industry in Luwus Village is operating under conditions of increasing returns to scale. This implies that an increase in input will lead to a more than proportional increase in output, reflecting a growing economy of scale in the industry.
