Abstract

This study aimed to determine the species richness of Hexapoda: Coleoptera in Suranadi Nature Recreation Park (NRP), Lombok Island, Indonesia. It is an exploratory, descriptive study with a qualitative method. Sample collection was carried out during May – July 2019 in three different habitats consisting of waterways along with the middle and edges of the forest. Sample collection was conducted using the pitfall trap method. The samples were identified at Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram to obtain the species richness data. It was revealed that there were 11 species from 8 families of the Order Coleoptera. The species are Agonum micans, Trycorinus rudepunctatus, Euspilotus assimilis, Paracymus subcupreus, Phanaeus vindex, Myrmex sp., Dinopelma leptaleum, Oxyporus maxillosus, Oxylobus maridionalis, Tachys blandus and Platydema violacea.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian tentang pengaruh kompos terhadap pertumbuhan kacang panjang, telah dilaksanakan di Desa Sukarare Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah  untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh kompos  terhadap pertumbuhan kacang panjang pada lahan pertanian Desa Sukarare, (2) dosis kompos yang perlu diberikan  pada lahan pertanian Desa Sukarare agar tanaman kacang panjang tumbuh secara optimal. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan rancangan acak kelompok  dengan delapan  ulangan. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam dan uji lanjut dengan Uji Beda Nyata Terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa (1) penggunaan  kompos pada lahan pertanian Desa Sukarare berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumuhan kacang panjang, (2) kadar optimum kompos yang perlu diberikan pada lahan pertanian Desa Sukarare agar kacang panjang tumbuh secara optimal adalah 2,0 kg untuk setiap 1 m2 lahan pertanian Kata-kata kunci: kompos, pertumbuhan, dan kacang pajang  ABSTRACT Research about the effect of compost on the growth of long bean was carried out  in Sukarare Village central Lombok. Abstract

Pakcoy is one of popular vegetable croop in Indonesia. Effort to increase the growth of pakcoy can be done by fertilizing. Research on the vegetative growth of fakcoy due to different dosages of bokashi and NPK fertilizer has been carried out in Terong Tawah Village, Wes Lombok Regency. The objectives of this research were to determaine: (1) vegetatif growth of pakcoy due to different dose of bokashi, (2) vegetatif growth of pakcoy due to different dose of NPK fertilizer, (3) the effect of the interaction between bokashi and NPK fertilizer on pakcoy growth. In this research a two factor design was used. The first factor was the dose of bokashi and the second was the dose of NPK fertilizer. The growth parameters were plant height, number of leaves, leaf lenght and leaf width of pakcoy. The research data was analyzed using analaysis of variance. The result showed that: (1) different dose of bokashi significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, leaf lenght and leaf width of pakcoy, (2) different dose of NPK fertilizer significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, leaf lenght and leaf width of pakcoy, (3) interaction between bokashi and NPK fertilizer has no significant effect on all measured growth parameters.

Abstract

Tomato is an annual plant that can grow well in the territory of Indonesia. Tomato growth is determined by the availability of nutrients in the growing media. The availability of nutrients can be increased by fertilization. Research on Vegetative Growth Response of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L) Due to Different Doses of Horse Manure Bokashi has been carried out in Bajur Villagre, West Lombok Regency. This research aims to determine: (1) the effect of different doses of horse manure bokashi to the growth of tomato, (2) the optimum dose of horse manure bokashi that need to be given to agricultural land so that tomato can grom optimaly. In this research, a completely randomized design was used. Horse manure bokashi treatment consisted of 6 levels with 4 replications.  The growth parameters were stem height, number of leaves, leaf lenght and leaf widh which were measured 42 days after planting. The research data were analyzed by analysis of variance. The result showed that: (1) different doses of horse manure bokashi significantly affected stem height, number of leaf, leaf lenght and leaf width of tomatoes, (2) the optimum dose of horse manure bokashi that need to be given to agricultural land so that tomato can grom optimaly is 1,6 kg for 1 m2 of agricultural land.

Abstract

Green eggplant is native to the tropics. Green eggplant is one of the most popular vegetable ingredients in Indonesia. The availability of nutrients in the growing media is one of the most determining factors for the growth and yield of green eggplant. Research on vegetative growth of green eggplant due to vermicompost and NPK fertilizer treatment has been carried out from April to August 2021. This study aims to determine: (1) vegetative growth of green eggplant due to vermicompost treatment, (2) green eggplant vegetative growth due to NPK fertilizer treatment, (3) green eggplant vegetative growth due to interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer treatment. This research was conducted in a factorial completely randomized design with three replications. The first factor is the application of NPK fertilizer which consists of 4 levels and the second factor is the treatment of vermicompost which consists of 5 levels. Research data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The results showed: (1) treatment of NPK fertilizer with different doses significantly effected the number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf length, and stem height of green eggplant. The optimum dose of NPK fertilizer was 2 grams for one plant, which produced the number of leaves, diameter stems, leaf length and stem height of green eggplant were better than treatments at other doses. (2) The treatment of vermicompost had a significant effect on the number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf blade length, and stem height of green eggplant, the optimum dose of vermicompost was 1.8 kg  for 1 m2 of agricultural land, resulting in stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf length and green eggplant stem height was better than other treatments (3) the interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer had no significant effect on stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf length and stem height of green eggplant.

Abstract

Abstrak: Masyarakat tani Dusun Mertak Umbak Desa Mertak Tombok Kecamatan Praya Kabupaten Lombok Tengah masih memiliki pengetahuan tentang budidaya pertanian yang rendah. Rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat berdampak pada rendahnya hasil usaha pertanian yang mereka peroleh. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pembinaan masyarakat tani Dusun Mertak Umbak tentang usaha pertanian berbasis agribisnis. Salah satu tanaman yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi tinggi dan dapat dikembangkan di Dusun Mertak Umbak adalah tanaman cabai rawit. Masalah-masalah utama yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat tani Dusun Mertak Umbak adalah: (1) Hasil usaha pertanian yang diperoleh masyarakat tani Dusun Mertak Umbak masih tergolong rendah, (2) masyarakat tani Dusun Mertak Umbak tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang budidaya tanaman cabi rawit dengan sistem bedengan dan aplikasi mulsa plastik, (3) masyarakat tani Dusun Mertak Umbak tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pemupukan tanaman cabai rawit menggunakan kompos. Dalam upaya mengatasi masalah pertama maka tim memberikan solusi dengan membudidayakan tanaman yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi tinggi yaitu tanaman cabai rawit. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan kedua maka tim memberikan solusi dengan melakukan pembinaan masyarakat tani dalam budidaya tanaman cabai rawit dengan sistem bedengan dan aplikasi mulsa plastik. Selanjutnya untuk mengatasi permasalahan ketiga, tim memberikan solusi dengan melakukan pendampingan masyarakat dalam melakukan pemupukan tanaman menggunakan kompos. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah: (1) masyarakat Dusun Mertak Umbak Desa Mertak Tombok yang menjadi mitra kegiatan ini memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan membudidayakan cabai rawit dengan sistem bedengan lahan dan aplikasi mulsa plastik, (2) Mitra memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang teknik pembuatan kompos, (3) mitra memiliki respons yang baik terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan dan berkomitmen untuk moncoba memanfaatkan kotoran ternak yang ada disekitarnya sebagai bahan baku pembuatan kompos. Selanjutnya menggunakan kompos untuk meningkatkan hasil panen tanaman pada lahan pertanian yang mereka miliki Kata-kata kunci: Pembinaan masyarakat, budidaya cabai rawit, bedengan lahan dan mulsa plastik

Abstract

Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini telah dilaksanakan di Desa Jatisela Kecamatan Gunung Sari Kabupaten Lombok Barat Propinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Sebagian masyarakat Desa Jatisela yang bermatapencaharian sebagai petani, kuhusnya yang berdomisili di Dusun Ireng Daye memiliki usaha sampingan yaitu beternak sapi, kuda dan kambing. Mereka membentuk kelompok ternak yang disebut Kelompok Ternak Patuh Angen. Kegiatan peternakan sapi yang dilakukan oleh Kelompok Ternak Patuh Angen menghasilkan limbah berupa kotoran ternak dan sisa makanan ternak. Peternak sapi di Dusun Ireng Daye belum menemukan alternatif pemecahan masalah limbah peternakan sapi yang ada di sekitar tempat tinggal mereka. Pengolahan limbah peternakan sapi menjadi pupuk organik merupakan alternatif pemecahan masalah yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang mereka hadapi. Pupuk organik yang dihasilkan dapat dijadikan pupuk untuk meningkatkan hasil panen tanaman. Adapun tahapan kerja pengolahan limbah peternakan sapi menjadi bokashi dan pemanfatannya pada lahan pertanian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) sosialisasi kegiatan, (2) penyampaian materi tentang kebersihan lingkungan, cara pembuatan bokashi dan manfaat bokashi untuk pertumbuhan tanaman, (3) pembuatan bokashi, (3) penggunaan bokashi pada lahan pertanian.  Metotode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah, diskusi, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini nampak bahwa masyarakat yang menjadi mitra kegiatan telaah mengikuti kegiatan dengan baik mulai dari sosialisasi kegiatan sampai pada kegiatan terakhir pelaksanaan pengabdian. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari banyaknya pertanyaan yang diajukan peserta yang terkait dengan materi yang disampaikan tim pelaksana pada saat diskusi. Selain itu pada saat praktek pembuatan bokashi semua peserta ikut bekerja secara aktif sehingga kegiatan paraktek pembuatan bokashi dapat berjalan lancer. Kata Kunci: Pendampingan masyarakat; pengelolaan limbah; peternakan sapi; pertumbuhan tanaman.
