Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the application of the guided inquiry learning model assisted by concept maps on the scientific literacy of junior high school students in the city of Mataram. The research was conducted through a pretest-posttest design with a non-randomized control group. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample of 90 students was divided into three classes, where the first-class applied guided inquiry learning assisted by concept maps, the second class applied inquiry learning without the help of concept maps, and the third class applied conventional learning. All classes were given a pretest and posttest scientific literacy. Data in the form of pretest and posttest scores were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with the Least Significance Difference (LSD) test at 5% alpha. The results showed that the mean score of students' scientific literacy in the class that applied the guided inquiry learning model assisted by concept maps was significantly higher than the mean score of the conventional class. The conclusion is that there is an effect of the implementation of the inquiry learning model assisted by the concept map method on students' scientific literacy

Abstract

Pakcoy is one of popular vegetable croop in Indonesia. Effort to increase the growth of pakcoy can be done by fertilizing. Research on the vegetative growth of fakcoy due to different dosages of bokashi and NPK fertilizer has been carried out in Terong Tawah Village, Wes Lombok Regency. The objectives of this research were to determaine: (1) vegetatif growth of pakcoy due to different dose of bokashi, (2) vegetatif growth of pakcoy due to different dose of NPK fertilizer, (3) the effect of the interaction between bokashi and NPK fertilizer on pakcoy growth. In this research a two factor design was used. The first factor was the dose of bokashi and the second was the dose of NPK fertilizer. The growth parameters were plant height, number of leaves, leaf lenght and leaf width of pakcoy. The research data was analyzed using analaysis of variance. The result showed that: (1) different dose of bokashi significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, leaf lenght and leaf width of pakcoy, (2) different dose of NPK fertilizer significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, leaf lenght and leaf width of pakcoy, (3) interaction between bokashi and NPK fertilizer has no significant effect on all measured growth parameters.

Abstract

Papaya fruit has many benefits, one of which is papaya seed can be used as antifertility drugs especially young papaya seeds. This is because young papaya seeds contain secondary metabolites of alkaloid glycosides and proteolytic enzymes such as papain which can interfere with spermatogenesis. This aims to determine the effect of young papaya seed extract of a mice number spermatozoa. Mice were randomly selected to represent 4 dose groups: control group (P0), extract 30mg/BW (PI), extract 60mg/BW (PII) and extract 90mg/BW (PIII). Each treatment group was carried out with six repetitions. The treatment was given intravenously by injecting it in the tail of the mice for 15 consecutive days. The observed spermatozoa quality variables is a number of spermatozoa. Data analysis used one way ANOVA significance test 5% (p<0,05) and continued  with the LSD (Least Significant Difference) 95% confidence. The result of the study on the quality of spermatozoa showed a significant effect at the doses of 60mg/BW (PII) and 90mg/BW (PIII). The higher dose of young papaya seed extract, it increasingly affects the number of sperm. The research concluded that the extract of young papaya seeds has a significant impact of a mice number spermatozoa (Mus musculus).

Abstract

Green eggplant is native to the tropics. Green eggplant is one of the most popular vegetable ingredients in Indonesia. The availability of nutrients in the growing media is one of the most determining factors for the growth and yield of green eggplant. Research on vegetative growth of green eggplant due to vermicompost and NPK fertilizer treatment has been carried out from April to August 2021. This study aims to determine: (1) vegetative growth of green eggplant due to vermicompost treatment, (2) green eggplant vegetative growth due to NPK fertilizer treatment, (3) green eggplant vegetative growth due to interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer treatment. This research was conducted in a factorial completely randomized design with three replications. The first factor is the application of NPK fertilizer which consists of 4 levels and the second factor is the treatment of vermicompost which consists of 5 levels. Research data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The results showed: (1) treatment of NPK fertilizer with different doses significantly effected the number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf length, and stem height of green eggplant. The optimum dose of NPK fertilizer was 2 grams for one plant, which produced the number of leaves, diameter stems, leaf length and stem height of green eggplant were better than treatments at other doses. (2) The treatment of vermicompost had a significant effect on the number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf blade length, and stem height of green eggplant, the optimum dose of vermicompost was 1.8 kg  for 1 m2 of agricultural land, resulting in stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf length and green eggplant stem height was better than other treatments (3) the interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer had no significant effect on stem diameter, number of leaves, leaf length and stem height of green eggplant.

Abstract

Kale land is a short-lived plant, containing the nutrients needed by the human body. The growth of kale land is influenced by various factors, one of which is the adequate supply of nutrients needed by plants. Fertilization is one of the efforts that can be done to ensure the availability of nutrients on agricultural land. Research has been carried out on the growth response of kale land due to the application of vermicompost and NPK fertilizers. The purpose of this research is to obtain information about (1) increased growth of  kale land due to the application of vermicompost, (2) increased growth of kale land due to application of NPK fertilizer, (3) increased growth of  kale land  due to the interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer treatments. The research was carried out using an experimental method in the form of factorial arranged according to a completely randomized design. The first factor is vermicompost (C) with doses of 0 kg, 0.4 kg, 0.8 kg, 1.2 kg and 1.6 kg vermicompost per square meter of agricultural land. The second factor is the application of NPK fertilizer (P) at a dose of 0 g, 0.5 g, 1 g, 1.5 g per plant. Thus there were 20 treatment combinations and each combination was carried out with 3 replications. The growth parameters observed were plant height, total leaf, leaf length, leaf width and stem diameter of land kale. Research data were analyzed by Anova. The conclusions of the study were: (1) The application of vermicompost could increase plant height, number of leaves, leaf length and leaf width but could not increase stem diameter of kale land (2) application of NPK fertilizer can improve all growth parameters of kale land kangkong. (3) The interaction of vermicompost and NPK fertilizer cannot increase the growth of kale land.

Abstract

Kreativitas Ilmiah merupakan  kompetensi yang sangat penting pada abad XXI karena berkontribusi menghasilkan gagasan baru melalui kegiatan ilmiah, sehingga keterampilan ini perlu dikembangkan pada siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran yang efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menguji  pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan sains teknologi masyarakat (STM) terhadap kreativitas ilmiah siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non-equivalen control group disgn dan teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling.Variabel bebas penelitian dalah penerapan model pembelajaran yang berbeda, sementara variabel terikat penelitian  adalah kreativitas ilmiah siswa. Data kreativitas ilmiah diperoleh dari hasil tes uraian.  Instrumen tes disusun atas modifikasi tes kreativitas ilmiah dari Hu dan Adey. Uji hipotesis data menggunakan  ANACOVA. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa nilai sig. (p) = 0,000 lebih kecil dari alpha 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan sains teknologi masyarakat berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kreativitas ilmiah siswa SMP.

Abstract

Biologi memiliki karakteristik materi spesifik yang membuat guru harus lebih kreatif dan inovatif dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain penggunaan model pembelajaran yang bervariasi, media pembelajaran merupakan sesuatu yang penting dan harus diperhatikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh blended learning berbasis media pembelajaran multimedia terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan di SMA Negeri 1 Praya Tengah. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode quasy experimental dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Praya Tengah. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling dan random sampling sehingga diperoleh kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI MIPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data hasil belajar menggunakan instrumen tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Mann Whitney dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil uji Mann Whitney didapatkan bahwa nilai Asymp Sig (2-tailed) lebih besar dari α atau 0,035 < 0,05. Artinya, blended learning berbasis media pembelajaran multimedia memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi sains dinyatakan sebagai keterampilan yang esensial dalam masyarakat abad 21, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut pada kondisi pandemi covid-19 diperlukan suatu inovasi kegiatan pembelajaran yang mampu melatih kemampuan literasi sains. Problem Based Learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang menekankan/melibatkan masalah dalam belajar dan Literasi Sains . Literasi sains dapat dicapai melalui pembelajaran yang ada kaitannya dengan teknologi seperti pembelajaran berbasis Blended Learning serta berorientasi pada hasil akhir (OBE). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbasis Blended Learning dan Outcomes Based Education terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa peserta didik pada materi Jamur Kelas X di SMA Negeri 7 Mataram. Metode penelitian menggunakan nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design, teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling, dan data dianalisis menggunakan MANOVA dengan menggunakan SPSS 26.0. Hasil analisis Test Between Subject Effect menghasilkan nilai signifikan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik sebesar 0,00. Hasil tersebut dapat dinyatakan  bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis Blended Learning dan Outcome Based Education terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa peserta didik kelas X di SMAN 7 Mataram.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada guru di SMPN 20 Mataram adalah: Guru memahami secara komprehensif konsep keterampilan abad 21; Guru memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang setiap keterampilan abad 21; Guru memiliki pemahaman yang baik tehnik-tehnik penyusunan instrument evaluasi keterampilan abad 21; Guru terampil dalam menyusun intrumen evaluasi abad 21 dan melaksanakan serta menindak lanjuti hasil evaluasi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah dalam bentuk worhshop yang lebih berbasis pada praktek langsung menyusun instrument keterampilan abad 21 sesuai dengan tagihan pedoman yang berlaku, studi literatur, dan analisis kebutuhan guru-guru di lingkungan SMPN 20 Mataram. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan dengan tahapan sebagai berikut: Studi literatur, Menganalisis kemampuan awal dan kebutuhan Guru, Mendisain konten kurikulum Pelatihan,  Pelaksanaan berupa kajian Teori, Praktek penyusunan instrument keterampilan abad 21. Hasil menunjukan bahwa para Guru peserta pengabdian telah memahami secara baik dan konprehensip tentang konsep keterampilan abad 21, berpikir tingkat tinggi keterampilan abad 21, tehnik-tehnik penyusunan instrument keterampilan abad 21 dan terampil dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan tindak lanjut hasil evaluasi keterampilan abad 21.

Abstract

Reading Questioning and Answering (RQA) merupakan model pembelajaran yang menghadapkan peserta didik untuk membaca materi pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran tersebut dapat membantu peserta didik untuk meningkatkan membaca materi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran daring dengan model Reading Questioning and Answering terhadap hasil belajar kognitif biologi peserta didik kelas X di SMAN 1 Madapangga kabupaten Bima. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X berjumlah 104 peserta didik. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 51 peserta didik yang terdiri dari 25 peserta didik kelas X IPA2 dan 26 peserta didik kelas X IPA4. Pengambilan sampel penelitian dilakukan dengan Teknik random sampling Penentuan kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen dilakukann dengan metode undian. Teknik pengumpulan data ialah menggunakan instrumen soal dan dokumentasi. Nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen ranah kognitif 79,3, termasuk dalam kategori baik. Hasil uji beda kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol untuk hasil belajar kognitif biologi yaitu t hitung pada α 0,5 adalah 1,71 dan t tabel 1,70. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat dinyatakan bahwa pembelajaran daring dengan model Reading Questioning and Answering terhadap hasil belajar kognitif biologi peserta didik berpengaruh positif dan signifikan.
