Abstract

Understanding and student learning outcomes have become a major problem in education today. There are various learning models that can be used by teachers, including the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Compocition (CIRC) learning model. This study aims to determine the application of the CIRC learning model in improving Biology learning outcomes. The type of research used in this study was descriptive quantitative with a sample of 29 students. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. The instruments of this study are observations and tests. Observation guidelines are carried out to determine the objective learning conditions carried out by teachers and students. The test used in this study is in the form of student learning results obtained in the implementation of the test. The results showed that the application of the CIRC learning model can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian larutan tembaga terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman bunga matahari (H. annuus L.). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 konsentrasi perlakuan logam Cu yaitu P0: 0 mg/L, P1: 100 mg/L, P2: 200 mg/L dan P3: 500 mg/L, dengan 5 ulangan untuk setiap perlakuan sehingga didapatkan 20 sampel tanaman. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan merendam biji bunga matahari kultivar dalam wadah berisi air hangat selama semalam kemudian ditanam pada polybag. Tanaman dipelihara secara intensif hingga berumur 2 minggu setelah tanam dan dilakukan aplikasi Cu. Logam Cu yang digunakan berupa garam CuSO4.5H2O. Pemberian larutan Cu dilakukan setelah tanaman mengalami aklimatisasi selama 1 minggu (tanaman berumur ± 5 minggu). Cu yang diaplikasikan berupa garam CuSO4.5H2O yang mengandung kurang lebih 25% ion Cu. Garam tersebut dilarutkan dalam aquades sebanyak 1L sesuai konsentrasi dan diberikan 4 kali dalam jangka waktu 2 minggu hingga larutan Cu habis. Larutan Cu sebanyak 250 ml disiramkan ke tanah disekitar tanaman secara hati-hati agar tidak kontak langsung dengan batang tanaman. Pada perlakuan kontrol tidak dilakukan penyiraman garam CuSO4.5H2O. Setelah pemberian Cu, dilakukan pengamatan dan pengukuran parameter pertumbuhan. Parameter pertumbuhan terdiri dari tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan panjang akar tanaman. Data hasil pengamatan disajikan dalam bentuk gambar dan pengukuran akan dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam (ANAVA) dan diuji lanjut dengan DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian larutan Cu berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman bunga matahari. Semakin tinggi konsentrasi Cu mengakibatkan terhambatnya tinggi tanaman, penurunan jumlah daun, dan terhambatnya pemanjangan akar tanaman.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the brown algae extract Padina australis in inhibiting the growth of Bacillus cereus and Eschericia coli bacteria. Samples were taken from the waters of Osi Island, West Seram, Maluku Province as much as 1 kg, the sample was then dried using the sundrying method. The dried sample was then soaked for 24 hours and extracted. The extract results were then tested for phytochemicals and antibacterial activity tests carried out in the Microbiology Laboratory of Pattimura University, Ambon. The results showed that (1) The brown algae extract Padina australis contains secondary metabolites in the form of flavonoids, terpenoids, steroids, saponins and alkaloids; (2) The combination of these various compounds provides a synergistic effect that can increase the effectiveness of antimicrobials in inhibiting the growth of Bacillus cereus and Escherichia coli bacteria; (3) The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of Padina australis algae extract has different abilities in inhibiting test bacteria. The MIC of Bacillus cereus bacteria at a concentration of 10% has an inhibition zone of 7 mm and the MIC of Escherichia coli bacteria at a concentration of 60% has an inhibition zone of 11 mm.

Abstract

Pollinator insects are insects that play a role in pollination, namely intermediaries pollinating plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the abundance and diversity of insects pollinators in the Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L) Plantation of Waiheru Village, Baguala District, Ambon City. Sampling was done by purposive sampling using a yellow glue trap (Yellow sticky trap). The customer observations are made in visual control. Observation starts at 07.00 WIT until 18.00 WIT which is divided into 3 time periods, namely: 07.00-10.00 WIT, 11.00-14.00 WIT and 15.00-18.00 WIT. The data obtained were analyzed using the diversity index (H ') according to Shannon and Wiener. The results showed that the total abundance of pollinator insects in vegetable plantations was 1220 individuals, consisting of 3 orders and 5 families. Insect families that play a role in the process of pollination are Family Apidae, Formicidae, Syrpidae, Muscidae and Papilionidae. The highest abundance of insects is dominated by the Formicidae Family while the lowest abundance is the Papilionidae Family. Value insect pollinator diversity found among the sites that H '= 1.21 which indicates that the level of diversity of insect pollinators on plantations Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L) in the Waiheru Village, Baguala District, Ambon City in the medium category.

Abstract

Merdeka Belajar is an Indonesian government program that aims to improve the quality of education in Indonesia which has the main pillars, namely strengthening literacy, one of which is digital literacy and increasing teacher competence in using technology. Therefore, teachers need to develop and apply technology to conduct school learning. Lack of understanding in using technology is a problem for teachers at SMA Negeri 62 Central Maluku, becoming a significant challenge in efforts to improve the quality of learning at the school. To enhance the quality of learning in schools, especially in science learning, namely by carrying out virtual or digital-based learning activities, one of which is a virtual laboratory. Service activities aim to improve teachers' digitalization skills, supporting the Merdeka curriculum. The activity method is in the form of training and assistance in creating a virtual laboratory, which includes several stages, namely: preparation stage, team coaching stage, training and mentoring stage, and evaluation stage. Based on the pre-test and post-test, digitalization skills/skills in using Macromedia Flash increased by 86%. This can be seen from the very satisfying results of the learning media produced. With limited time, participants could produce simple virtual laboratory learning media with the help of Macromedia Flash. Abstrak Merdeka Belajar adalah program pemerintah Indonesia yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia yang memiliki pilar utama yaitu penguatan literasi salah satunya literasi digital dan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam penggunaan teknologi. Oleh sebab itu, guru perlu mengembangkan dan menerapkan teknologi dalam melakukan pembelajaran disekolah. Kurangnnya pemahaman dalam menggunakan teknologi merupakan permasalahan guru-guru di SMA Negeri 62 Maluku Tengah menjadi sebuah tantangan yang signifikan dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah tersebut. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah khususnya pada pembelajaran IPA yaitu dengan melakukan kegiatan pembelajaran secara virtual atau berbasis digital salah satunya adalah laboratorium virtual. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah meningkatkan keterampilan digitalisasi guru dalam mendukung kurikulum Merdeka. Metode kegiatan berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan pembuatan laboratorium virtual yang meliputi beberapa tahap yaitu: tahap persiapan, tahap coaching tim, tahap pelatihan dan pendampingan, tahap evaluasi. Berdasarkan pree test dan post test, keterampilan digitalisasi/keterampilan penggunaan macromedia flash meningkat sebesar 86%. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan sangat memuaskan. Dengan waktu yang terbatas, peserta mampu menghasilkan media pembelajaran laboratorium virtual berbantuan macromedia flash yang sederhana.
