Abstract

Abstract. One of the ecological roles of seagrass beds is as fish habitat and the presence of seagrasses can affect the diversity and density of fish in a water. Distribution of seagrass vegetation in the waters of the village of Akoon is quite extensive with conditions that are also quite diverse, allowing the many types of fish that live in the seagrass beds in the village of Akoon. Nusalaut, Central Maluku Regency. The results of the study describe the types of fish that are in the seagrass beds in the village of Akoon are 17 species with 80 individuals. Fish species diversity index in the seagrass beds in Akoon village, Nusalaut sub-district was 2,434, evenness index was 0.859, and wealth index was 1,900. Fish in seagrass beds in Akoon village, Nusalaut sub-district have a density value of 0.2 ind / m2. Keywords: diversity, density, seagrass fish, Akoon Village

Abstract

Kuskus merupakan satwa Australia (marsupial) yang termasuk dalam famili Phalangeridae danpersebarannya terbatas di Indonesia bagian Timur, Australia dan Papua New Guinea. Melalui data IUCN, kuskus dikategorikan endangered spesies, dalam CITES digolongkan Appendiks II. Populasi kuskus semakin menurun akibat ancaman deforestrasi, banyak diburu untuk dikonsumsi, dan diperjualbelikan secara ilegal. Untuk mengatasi persoalan diatas maka perlu dilakukan kajian komprehensif tentang fenotip kuskus dengan harapan dapat membantu usaha konservasi satwa ini di masa mendatang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui jenis serta sifat fenotip berdasarkan warna rambut kuskus yang hidup di penangkaran Desa Lumoli Kabupaten Seram Bagian Barat, Maluku. Penelitian ini diawali dengan tahap identifikasi dan karakterisasi setiap spesies secara fenotip melalui tampilan warna rambut. Karakter fenotip disajikan melalui gambar dan tabel, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian karakterisasi fenotip menunjukkan terdapat empat spesies kuskus yang hidup di penangkaran desa Lumoli yakni, kuskus coklat (P.orientalis), kuskus putih (P.urinus), kuskus kelabu (P.vestitus), dan kuskus totol (S.maculatus).

Abstract

Background: The teacher holds an important role in developing and strengthening the education of students' character in a Biology learning process. The character of the teacher is one of the factors that must be developed in the curriculum. Critical thinking includes character and skills which are two things that can not be separated in a person. Method: This research was conducted in July-August 2018, using a questionnaire distribution method of 60 students and interviews with the head of MAN, deputy head of curriculum, Biology teacher, religion teacher, BK teacher and Committee teacher. Results: This study shows the character of Biology teachers towards class XI students including the Good category, strengthening the character education of students in the bad category, and critical thinking of Biology teachers in the good category, and the relationship of the character of the Biology teacher. Conclusion: Strengthening the value of student character education has a strong relationship that is with a value of 0.867.

Abstract

Seagrass beds play an important role in coastal aquatic ecosystems and are one of the tidal areas that are widely used by the community as a forum for the interests of educational institutions in research activities, conservation of various marine biota. Ecologically, the seagrass ecosystem acts as a shelter and a place to eat various marine biota, including gastropods. The purpose of this research is not only to explore the diversity of gastropods, but also to examine the interactions of gastropod species, both between the same species and between different species in a community of seagrass ecosystems. The diversity index calculation shows the diversity index value H = 3.982 > 3, this means that the diversity of gastropod species is quite good. The results of the basic analysis obtained the calculated X2 value of 0.656, > X2 table with a significant level of 0.05%. There is an association relationship between seagrass ecosystems and the types of gastropods that live in seagrass ecosystems in coastal waters of Suli Village, Ambon. Abstract

The problem of education in this digital era is that there is still a lack of teaching staff or lecturers expressing creative and innovative ideas in the form of books, or scientific works, learning models, teaching materials as solutions in learning digital technology. The knowledge and skills of Learning Management Systems for Biology Education students at the University of Pattimura in exploring and mastering the concept of Learning and Teaching are indispensable in the online learning process through the zoom meeting and whatsapp program during the covid-19. The analysis of variance test for the Fvalue of 2065,198 with the significance of the calculated F is 0.000 and the mean squared value is 1673,000, > Partial squared value of 0.989. This means that there is an influence of mastery and skills of the Learning Management System on the learning outcomes of learning and learning subjects through online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in Semester VI Students of the Biology Education Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pattimura University. There was success in improving learning achievement and learning outcomes in the Maluku region during the covid-19 pandemic, even though the lecture process was carried out online or online using the zoom meeting and whatsapp program. in dealing with the spread of covid 19 in the Mauku Region.

Abstract

Mantis shrimp (Harpiosquilla raphidea) is a type of predatory shrimp. Mantis shrimp is a type of crustacean with high nutritional value, but it is not widely known by the people of Eastern Indonesia, especially the people of Suli. This research was conducted in May 2021 and was tested for fat content at the Basic Chemistry Laboratory, Pattimura University, Ambon, with the type of descriptive research. This study used the Soxhlet method, which is the method used for fat extraction with N-Hexane as a fat solvent. The results of this study showed that the fat content of white mantis shrimp was 3.33% and black mantis shrimp was 5.56%. The fat content of white mantis shrimp is 3.33% and black mantis shrimp is 5.56%.

Abstract

Herley is one of the coastal coastal areas that has a very large biodiversity, this region has a fairly wide landscape and is a rocky, rocky and sandy beach that has become a living place for various types of marine biota such as algae (seaweed), bivalves, tridacnidae , growing coral reef fish and various other invertebrate organisms. In addition, the herley area is also a residential area and from year to year the herley community performs various types of activities such as taking marine rocks as a house building and growing coral used as lime fire building materials so that the type of marine biota especially bivalvia tridacnidae is threatened with extinction This study was conducted in October until November 2018 aiming to determine the diversity and distribution patterns of tridacnidae in coastal waters. ey in length. 130 area of 13,000 so 5% of the area as the area for determining transects and sampling tridacnidae. Abstract

Lising of exact teaching method, is an alterative to overcome the weakness of student is reserve live to the lesson, in order to promote the quality of the teaching learning method Quantum learning is kinds of methods or philosophy for learning speed, (accelereted learning) accelerated learning can be define as the way to suport students in learning with wondrful accelerated, by using normal evort and anthusiastie this research is aim to know the implementation promote learning method Quantum learning in order to promote learning result and metacognitive concept of human movement system to the students in class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 10 Ambon. This kind of research using descriptive research subject is the class IPA2 which capacity 26 students. Data of biology learning result is obtained through out pre test and post test, observation is used to observe cognitive ability, afeecitve, and psycomotor. The result of research is obtained in avarage of finally score 89,09% and metacognitive skill in pre test in average 51,69% and post test 93,88%.

Abstract

Educational paradigm thoughts in this 21st century in line with the development of science and technology. We see nowadays that cellular computation program enables lecturer to record students` assessment data directly from mobile device. Besides, by the use of electronical devices that could be operated to increase and enhance students` learning in various way like enhancing students` understanding in theories, related with a performance or presentation, lab and experiments or written task and assignments. Then mobile device termed gadget. To know the influence of gadget learning model usage towards students` learning result and thinking skill in accomplishing assignments on vertebrate zoology course of college students from biology education faculty of education pattimura university. Abstract

The Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is oriented to problem identification, project implementation, and product presentation. This study aims to determine the effect of PjBL learning models and conventional learning on the understanding of student concepts, retention and social attitudes of students of SMA 1 Ambon. The sample in this study were students of class XI IPA-1, totaling 39 students and class XI IPA-3, totaling 39 students in the 2017/2018 Academic Year. The research design used was a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Data analysis uses inferential statistics, namely the One Way ANOVA test. One Way ANOVA test results showed that the significant value of understanding concepts, retention, and social attitudes was 0,000<0.05. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there was an influence of the learning model on the understanding of concepts, retention, and social attitudes of Grade XI students of SMA 1 Ambon in studying the concept of the excretion system.
