Abstract

This research aims to determine the implementation of the halal certification obligation in the Jambi University canteen, the response of business actors regarding the halal certification obligation in the Jambi University canteen, the inhibiting factors and opportunities for business actors in carrying out halal certification in the Jambi University canteen and strategies for halal certification obligations that can be implemented in the canteen. Jambi University. The research method used is qualitative. The data sources in this research are primary and secondary. The data collection techniques used in this research were interviews and observation. The results of this research show that the implementation of halal certification obligations in the Jambi University canteen can use 2 routes, namely self-declaration and regular. If canteen businesses meet the criteria for self-declaring halal certification, they have the right to carry out self-declaring halal certification at a free service rate. Apart from these criteria, canteen business actors are required to carry out regular halal certification. The response of business actors to halal certification is quite good, although there are still many business actors who do not know how to achieve halal certification. The inhibiting factors for halal certification include lack of knowledge and awareness, lack of access to information and outreach, halal certification procedures which are considered complicated and lack of professional guidance. Then the opportunity factors include the halal certification process which will be assisted by the BPU, the existence of PSKH at Jambi University. The strategy for implementing halal certification obligations in the Jambi University canteen is increasing socialization of government policies regarding halal certification, improving the quality of human resources for institutions and business actors related to halal certification, holding socialization and education activities on halal certification, establishing collaboration with other institutions related to halal certification.

Abstract

This research is entitled Analysis of the Influence of Benefits and Security on the Use of Electronic Money (Funds) as a Payment Transaction Tool in an Islamic Economic Perspective. This research aims to determine the influence of benefits and security on the use of electronic money (funds) as a means of payment transactions from an Islamic economic perspective. The research method used is quantitative descriptive, with primary data sources. The population used was 314 students from the 2019-2021 Islamic Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Jambi University, and the sample for this research was 76 students taken using proportionate stratifield random sampling. The data analysis techniques used are Partial T test, Simultaneous F test, coefficient of determination, and continued with multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this research show that the Benefit variable has no partial effect and the Security variable has a partial effect on the use of electronic money (DANA) as a means of payment transactions from an Islamic economic perspective. Meanwhile, simultaneously the Benefit and Security variables influence the use of electronic money (DANA) as a means of payment transactions from an Islamic economic perspective.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of Islamic leadership styles that can help improve employee performance at the Rempeyek Ilham business in Jambi City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research show that the application of Islamic leadership style in the Rempeyek Ilham business in Jambi City falls into the democratic leadership type (group developer) that focuses on employees and provides effective guidance to its employees, and the leadership style applied is in accordance with Islamic principles such as justice, consultation, and freedom of thought. In addition, the implementation of Islamic leadership styles in this business is also in line with Islamic values such as siddiq (honesty), amanah (trustworthiness), tabligh (conveying), and fatanah (intelligence). The factors that shape the Islamic leadership style in this business include the leader's personality, understanding in religion, the social environment, and the leader's vision and mission. The impact generated by the leadership style on employee performance is marked by an increase in job satisfaction, loyalty, and employee productivity. The impact generated by leadership style on employee performance is marked by increased job satisfaction, loyalty, and productivity of employees. With this alignment, employee performance in this business has also improved, and it can be said that Ilham Rempeyek has effectively applied Islamic leadership style.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the halal Value Chain at the UPTD Slaughterhouse of the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of Jambi City, which has an important role in providing halal meat for the Muslim majority community in Jambi City. The halal Value Chain is a series of production activities that guarantee the halalness of products, involving authorized institutions in supervision, management, testing, and policy determination, evaluation, and control of the production, distribution, and consumption processes. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis of related documents. To achieve the research objectives, a SWOT analysis is used as a tool for formulating an effective halal Value Chain implementation strategy, taking into account the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by the UPTD Slaughterhouse. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the halal Value Chain at the UPTD Slaughterhouse in Jambi City has been carried out systematically in accordance with the principles of halalan thayyiban and the Safe, Healthy, Whole, and Halal (ASUH) standards. Supporting factors include halal certification, accreditation of the Veterinary Control Number (NKV), and the presence of Halal Slaughterers (JULEHA). The main challenges include limited human resources (HR), the absence of an internal laboratory, and lack of distribution supervision. Recommended strategies include strengthening cross-agency collaboration, increasing training, and improving infrastructure and supervision systems to ensure sustainability and increase trust in halal products.

Abstract

Research on "Analysis of the Implementation of Quick Response Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as a Payment Transaction Tool in Efforts to Increase the Income of Micro, Small Enterprises (UMK) in East Tanjung Jaung in a Maslahah Perspective" This analysis was carried out to find out how QRIS is implemented in an effort to increase income in MSEs. is in East Tanjung Jabung. This research is a type of field research using qualitative data from various literature. The research object is business actors in East Tanjung Jabung by examining the application of qris as a means of payment transactions in an effort to increase the opinions of the actors. This research used 10 informants from micro and small business actors in East Tanjung Jabung. Meanwhile, the methods used to collect data are observation, interviews, and no documentation. The results show that the use of QRIS as a payment transaction tool provides convenience, speed and security for each transaction, as well as helping to increase income in the business, according to the maslahah perspective where the implementation of QRIS as a payment transaction tool provides convenience, speed and security for its users, which can seen from the perspective of maslahah which can be interpreted as prioritizing other people's needs, prioritizing other people's affairs and providing benefits to other people.

Abstract

The increasing participation of women in economic activities is driven by changes in societal concepts and attitudes, as well as ongoing improvements. Through active involvement in development, women are able to contribute to meeting their daily needs through their own income. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that motivate women to work at the Tom Pizza franchise, as well as to examine the role of working women in improving family economic conditions through their employment at Tom Pizza. This research employs a qualitative approach, with informants consisting of eight Tom Pizza employees, the business owner, and gender studies experts. The findings reveal that female employees at Tom Pizza are motivated primarily by economic factors, namely to help fulfill household needs, as well as by needs for self-actualization and social interaction. From the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh al-nisa’), their employment is considered permissible (mubah) as long as it adheres to Islamic principles, such as maintaining personal dignity, obtaining spousal consent (for married women), and not neglecting domestic responsibilities. The study also highlights that women's involvement in the labor market significantly contributes to household economic stability and reflects a broader shift from traditional domestic roles to active public participation.These findings imply the importance of gender-sensitive policies and the need for a more contextual and adaptive interpretation of fiqh to align with contemporary social realities. This research is expected to serve as a reference for further studies on women, family economics, and Islamic commercial jurisprudence (women’s fiqh).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing communication strategies implemented by traders at Aurduri Traditional Market in Jambi City in an effort to increase their income (turnover), as well as to evaluate the implementation of Islamic business ethics in trading activities. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview methods and participatory observation of traders and buyers in the market. The data analysis technique used is SWOT analysis to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the marketing communication strategies implemented. The results of the study show that traders at Aurduri Traditional Market implement various marketing communication strategies, such as direct interaction with customers, providing discounts, and promotions through simple social media. However, the implementation of this strategy still faces challenges in the form of competition with modern markets and limited technological knowledge. From the perspective of Islamic business ethics, most traders have implemented the principles of fairness, transparency, and honesty in transactions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of sharia marketing characteristics consisting of theistic, ethical, realistic and humanistic on customer satisfaction. This type of research is quantitative research. This research was conducted on customers of Bank Syariah Indonesia KC Jambi Gatot Subroto and the number of samples used was 100 respondents. Samples were taken based on the probability sampling method. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression with the help of the SPSS version 26 analysis tool. Hypothesis testing shows that the four independent variables, namely theistic, ethical, realistic and humanistic, are proven to partially and simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, namely customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study is entitled "Analysis of the Influence of Promotion Factors, Product Knowledge, and Service Quality of PT Pegadaian Syariah (Persero) on Interest in Using Gold Savings (Case Study in Jambi City Society)". This study aims to analyze the Promotion Factor (X1), Product Knowledge (X2), and Service Quality (X3) have a significant effect on (Y) the interest of Jambi city society to use Gold savings products at PT Pegadaian Syariah (Persero) Jelutung Branch, Jambi City. This study uses quantitative research with quantitative analysis, primary research data is collected directly from the source in the form of questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation taken using purposive sampling techniques with a population and sample of 100 people in the Jambi city community. The method or technique of data collection used is field research. The study uses validity and reliability testing and uses data analysis techniques that include classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that the influence of the promotion variable (X1) has a positive effect on public interest in using Gold Savings, the product knowledge variable has a positive effect on public interest in using Gold Savings, and the service quality variable (X3) has an effect on public interest in using Gold Savings.
