Abstract

Kepemimpinan adalah suatu yang melekat pada diri seorang pemimpin yang memiliki sifat-sifat tertentu: kepribadian, kemampuan, kesanggupan, kepemimpinan sebagai kegiatan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dengan kedudukan serta gaya atau perilaku pemimpin itu sendiri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji secara empiris dampak dari kepemimpinan otentik dan komunikasi yang transparan menurut persepsi karyawan di Batam. Berdasarkan literatur yang ada menyatakan bahwa dengan adanya faktor penting dalam pencapaian sebuah reputasi yang baik adalah dengan adanya variabel kepemimpinan otentik dan komunikasi yang medasar. Sampel yang diambil ialah karyawan umum yang bekerja pada perusahaan manufaktur yang berada dikawasan industrial kota Batam. Teknik pengolahan data pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan regresi linier sederhana, dengan penarikan sampel menunggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling, yaitu purposive sampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini konsisten dengan penelitian sebelumnya, yang menyatakan bahwa kepemimpinan otentik dan komunikasi yang trasnparan secara positif berpengaruh terhadap reputasi internal organisasi atau perusahaan. keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang disebar pada satu kawasan industri, sehingga sangat memungkinkan datanya bersifat subyektif. Implikasi pada penelitian ini adalah untuk dapat menjadi pertimbangan sebuah perusahaan untuk mengetahui bahwa faktor-faktor ini dapat membantu perkembangan sebuah organisasi untuk mencapai tujuan sehingga tidak terjadi kesenjangan sosial dalam suatu organisasi.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence of several factors that affect the company's sales growth, namely the influence of Accounts Receivable, Firm Age and Firm Size to Sales Growth of companies in the manufacturing sector of consumer goods listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2012-2016. The dependent variable of sales growth is measured by the proxy of the company's sales amount. Independent Variables Receivables are measured by the firm's receivable account value, the firm's age variable is measured by age since the company stands and the firm size variable is measured by the total assets owned by the company. This research method using approach of quantitative method. The sample was chosen using purposive sampling method with certain criteria and obtained as many as 140 samples of manufacturing companies that meet the criteria. Data analysis technique used is panel data regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that accounts receivable & firm size affect the company's sales growth. While the age of the company does not affect the company's sales growth.

Abstract

One of the regional revenues comes from regional levies, the total regional fees for the city of Batam in 2018 amounted to 94,581,392,967.00 while in 2019 it decreased to 90,511,150,389.64 (Batam City RAPBD Report). The garbage retribution collected for the Batam community ranges from Rp. 7,000 to Rp. 50,000 depending on the building area, the rules for the cost of waste retribution are regulated in the Batam City Garbage Regional Regulation. One of the levies is used for waste management. When viewed from the budget provided by the Batam city government through the Environmental Service (DLH) of 97 billion for waste management in Batam during 2017. This study aims to see the behavior of the Batam community in waste management and the readiness of Batam citizens in implementing a plastic waste diet. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis by observing and distributing questionnaires. The practical benefits that are wanted after conducting research to encourage people to reduce the amount of waste production and are useful for policy makers in evaluating policies that have been implemented. The waste produced by the community is around 0.5 kg to 7 kg per day. From the data obtained, 74% of Batam people use waste management services. As many as 209 respondents or 52.3% of the people of Batam understand the term plastic diet, almost half of the people do not know about the plastic diet. 92.8% of Batam people know about the dangers of plastic waste for the environment, so it takes maximum effort so that people know how to reduce plastic use. The main problems in waste management stem from: waste taken by officers is not sorted, lack of counseling from waste managers. 98% of respondents are willing to reduce plastic waste, therefore the government must continue to socialize ways to reduce plastic use.

Abstract

One aspect of outcome in national expansion is the development of a prosperous family (UU No. 52 year 2009). Each parent is obliged to care, educate, guide the lives of children to adulthood. Therefore, in the PP No. 21 year 1994 family function includes functions of religion, social and cultural, affection, protection, socialization and education, economic and environmental development. The purpose of carrying out this program, specifically: 1) Provides additional knowledge about the function and role of family through educational games "GANSIA" that can be played by all family members, 2) Creation of communities that are able to accomplish the function of family optimally. The objective of this program established in RW 06 Kecamatan Sagulung where there are 1,061 inhabitants. The majority of residents work for industrial workers, shipyards, teachers and merchants. The implementation method of this program will be made by pretest and post test method. The potential results of this program are: 1) Establishment of community "Rumah Permata", moreover as a counseling amenity, mentoring family welfare education, and the establishment of productive household enhancement, 2) Potential for obtaining Intellectual Property Rights is a patent for the invention of an educational box game accompanied by Talking Pen accordingly themed with the local sagacity of Kota Batam. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of personality, family environment, and entrepreneurship education on the entrepreneurial interest of Batam State Polytechnic students during the covid-19 pandemic. The research population is Batam State Polytechnic students with the criteria that they have received entrepreneurship course. The total respondents were 381 students. This study uses a quantitative approach and data collection through distributing questionnaires using google form. The results of the study are personality variables have an effect on student entrepreneurship interest. The family environment variable has no effect on the student's entrepreneurial interest. Finally, the entrepreneurship education variable has an effect on students' interest in entrepreneurship. The implications of the research are for Polibatam students to take part in entrepreneurial training and hone skills that can motivate themselves to become entrepreneurs. The implication for Polibatam is to become a facilitator and support activities that can increase students' interest in entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Abstract. Institutions are one of the parties that cannot avoid various demands for changes and developments in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. In dealing with these changes, institutions need a reliable and professional human resource (HR) in their fields. Therefore, an Institution needs to improve the quality of employees who work in it, because employees are one of the main and very important components of an institution or organization. Employee performance is one of the determining factors for the success of an institution or organization in achieving its goals. One way that can be taken to improve employee performance is by providing remuneration (incentives) to employees. This study aims to determine how the effect of incentives on employee performance MAN BATAM. This research is a quantitative descriptive study with the research sample being 88 employees of MAN BATAM. Data were obtained through questionnaires and interviews. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire that has been declared valid and reliable based on the results of the instrument trial. The research data were analyzed by simple linear regression analysis and partial significance test T (T-test) and processed with the SPSS 21 program. Abstract

Purpose: This community service activity has two objectives, namely, to carry out one of the tri dharma of higher education, namely community service through the implementation of knowledge held to the community and providing training and assistance in preparing financial reports to MSMEs in Batam City based on a standard. With this training and mentoring, it is expected that there will be an increase in the ability and transfer of knowledge in MSMEs. Benefits: Having been able to prepare financial reports according to standards can be one of the requirements for MSMEs to develop their business by submitting additional capital to third parties such as investors, banks, creditors and others. Then, this activity is expected to increase the activity of the community's economy and have implications for increasing family income in Batam City. Problems: The low ability of MSMEs in making financial reports based on accounting standards such as making reports of cash flow, profit and loss, and financial position. This problem becomes one of the obstacles for business to be sustainable. Methods: The service is carried out in three stages, namely, preparation, implementation, including information gathering, material preparation, material delivery, practice, monitoring, and evaluation, and reporting. In the midst of the current Covid-19 pandemic, it is not possible to conduct direct or face-to-face training and guidance, therefore these training and mentoring activities will be carried out online. The media used by WhatsApp and Zoom.

Abstract

This service activity has two objectives. First, increasing the understanding of halal certification for MSMEs in Batam City. Second, helping SMEs in Batam City to prepare halal certification documents. This activity is carried out to overcome problems in MSMEs regarding the management of halal certification. This activity is expected to be useful for MSME Managers so that they understand the urgency of halal products, then MSME products are halal certified, and finally as a means of student learning. Based on the results of the assistance, many MSMEs want to take care of halal certification but are still confused about the preparation. This activity contains socialization, training, and mentoring. Assistance is provided to 6 (six) business units.

Abstract

The Tax Volunteer Program is a concrete step in the dedication of the Batam State Polytechnic academic community to assist the role of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) in conducting tax education to increase taxpayer awareness and compliance. This program is also used as PBL which is required for D3 Accounting Study Program students and involves 5 courses in the 4th semester. Volunteers assist in reporting the Individual Annual Tax Return internally at the Batam State Polytechnic and external parties at the Regional Office of DGT Riau Islands as well as several companies cooperating with the Regional Office of DGT Riau Islands. In 2023, tax volunteers succeeded in assisting 808 Individual Taxpayers both from internal Polibatam and outside Polibatam parties. More than 87% of Individual Taxpayers who were assisted by tax volunteers felt the assistance provided by Polibatam Tax Volunteers was very useful and easy for Individual Taxpayers to understand so it could greatly assist Individual Taxpayers in reporting their tax obligations. Many Individual Taxpayers hope that this program can be carried out every year by increasing the skills and understanding of tax volunteers and improving the mechanism for implementing assistance by adding a short tutorial on reporting the Individual Annual Tax Return through e-Filing.

Abstract

This research examines the role of compliance audits on work instructions at PT Bintan Bersatu Apparel, with a focus on employee understanding of compliance and factors influencing its effectiveness. The research method used a qualitative approach, involving informants such as internal staff auditors, Assistant Manager Pre- production, and department leaders. In this study, it was found that the level of employee compliance with work instructions at PT Bintan Bersatu Apparel varies and is influenced by several factors, including employee understanding, management support, and the clarity of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The results of compliance audits play a crucial role in influencing the implementation of work instructions by identifying discrepancies and initiating necessary corrective actions. Factors such as knowledge, motivation, attitude, experience, internal auditor training, supervision, and the availability of clear SOPs also impact the effectiveness of compliance audits. Therefore, the recommendations put forth involve concrete steps, including improving employee understanding through structured training, active management support in monitoring and enforcing compliance, and refining SOPs to ensure clarity. Additionally, the importance of developing internal auditors, rigorous supervision, periodic evaluations of employee compliance, and providing constructive feedback are emphasized. By implementing these recommendations comprehensively, PT Bintan Bersatu Apparel can ensure optimal quality, productivity, and operational safety within their company.
