Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research which aims to describe the application of Whole Brain Teaching learning method to Maple material. The steps of the learning model are as follows: (1) Yes-Class, the lecturer observes the readiness of students in starting the lecture by saying "Class" and if the students are ready to respond by answering "Yes", (2) Micro-Lecture, the lecturer delivers Maple material in Computer course I, (3) Okay-Teach, students repeat the explanations that have been delivered by the lecturer, (4) Scoreboard, the lecturer give an assessment of students responses in repeating lecturers' explanations, (5) Hand and Eyes, the lecturer condition the class when the classroom becomes noisy, and (6) Comprehension Check, lecturer gives exercise. The subjects of this study are students of the second semester, Department of Mathematics Education, Academic year 2018/2019 at STKIP PGRI Blitar. The research instrument was the final cycle test, observation sheet and questionnaire. Based on the results of the end of the cycle test, out of 5 students it was found that 5 students had completed 100% learning with very good criteria. This is in accordance with the success criteria ? 80%. From the overall percentage, the average observation of lecturer activities reached 87.09% with good criteria. Meanwhile the overall average percentage of completeness of observations of student activities is 83.46% with good criteria. Based on the questionnaire responses of students obtained an average percentage of 83% with a good success rate. Thus it can be concluded that the research carried out was successful.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran Somatic Auditory Resitasi Interpretasi (SARI) pada matakuliah Media Pembelajaran Matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Matematika semester IV STKIP PGRI Blitar tahun akademik 2017/2018. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri dari tes akhir siklus dan lembar observasi. Dari hasil observasi dosen pada pertemuan ke-1 didapatkan nilai 83% dengan kriteria baik dan pertemuan ke-2 86% dengan kriteria baik. Rata-rata aktivitas dosen adalah 84,5% dengan kategori baik. Untuk prosentase hasil observasi aktivitas mahasiswa pada pertemuan ke-1 didapatkan nilai 83% dengan kriteria baik dan pertemuan ke-2 85% dengan kriteria baik. Rata-rata aktivitas mahasiswa 84% dengan kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil tes akhir siklus, dari 20 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Matematika semester IV STKIP PGRI Blitar diperoleh 17 mahasiswa telah tuntas belajar dan sisanya 3 mahasiswa tidak tuntas belajar. Hal ini sesuai dengan kriteria keberhasilan yaitu ≥75% dari jumlah mahasiswa keseluruhan yang mencapai taraf nilai ≥75 sesuai dengan ketuntasan individu yang tetapkan. Langkah-langkah model pembelajaran somatic, auditory, resitasi, interpretasi yaitu (a) Somatic adalah mahasiswa diminta untuk belajar dengan berbuat dan bergerak, (b) Auditory adalah belajar dengan berbicara dan mendengar, (c) Resitasi adalah penugasan. Penugasan digunakan untuk mengukur sejauh mana tingkat kefahaman mahasiswa, (d) Interpretasi adalah penarikan kesimpulan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of errors made by students when solving equations and inequalities in absolute value linear form of one variable based on Watson's criteria in class X Online Business and Marketing 1 SMK PGRI Blitar. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research with 35 students of class X Online Business and Marketing 1 SMK PGRI 3 Blitar City as subjects. The instruments used in the study were tests and interviews. The results of the study indicate that in problem number 1 it can be seen that four students make mistakes and do not give conclusions so the conclusions are lost. Then two students made incorrect procedural, errors data and there was missing data. For question number 2, it can be seen that the four subjects made mistakes, missing data, and missing conclusions. Then in question number 3, it can be seen that the four research subjects made mistakes in improper procedures, lost data, and lost conclusions. In question number 4, the four research subjects made incorrect procedural errors lost data, and lost conclusions and two of them made mistakes about the skill hierarchy problem. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa ketika menyelesaikan soal persamaan dan pertidaksamaan nilai mutlak bentuk linear satu variabel berdasarkan kriteria Watson di kelas X Bisnis Daring dan Pemasaran 1 SMK PGRI Blitar. Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek yang terdiri dari 35 siswa kelas X Bisnis Daring dan Pemasaran 1 SMK PGRI 3 Kota Blitar. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada soal nomor 1 terlihat bahwa terdapat empat orang siswa yang melakukan kesalahan tidak memberikan kesimpulan sehingga kesimpulan hilang. Kemudian dua orang siswa melakukan kesalahan prosedur yang tidak tepat dan terdapat data hilang. Untuk soal nomor 2 terlihat bahwa keempat subjek melakukan kesalahan terdapat data hilang dan kesimpulan hilang. Kemudian pada soal nomor 3 terlihat bahwa keempat subjek penelitian melakukan kesalahan pada prosedur tidak tepat, data hilang, dan kesimpulan hilang. Pada soal nomor 4, keempat subjek penelitian melakukan kesalahan prosedur tidak tepat, data hilang, dan kesimpulan hilang dan dua orang diantaranya melakukan kesalahan tentang masalah hierarki keterampilan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang dimiliki oleh siswa dalam soal Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) yang didasarkan pada teori ideal problem solving. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan instrumen penelitian berupa tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini mengambil 3 subjek dengan kemampuan yang berbeda yaitu siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi, siswa dengan kemampuan sedang dan siswa dengan kemampuan rendah. Dari hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi mampu melaksanakan indikator pertama Identify problem sampai dengan indikator terakhir Look Back and Learn dan siswa mampu menuliskan secara detail; (2) siswa dengan kemampuan sedang hanya mampu melakukan indikator pertama sampai dengan indikator keempat (anticipate outcomes and act), untuk indikator kelima (look back and learn) siswa tidak melakukannya karena tidak menuliskan kembali hasil akhirnya; (3) siswa berkemampuan rendah hanya mampu melaksanakan indikator pertama sampai dengan indikator keempat, namun tidak mampu melaksanakan indikator kelima dan belum mampu menuliskan jawaban secara detail.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the types of student errors in trigonometry material based on Newman's theory and the causes of these errors. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive research type. Research instruments in the form of tests, interviews, and documentation. In this study, 3 subjects with different abilities were taken, namely students with high abilities, students with moderate abilities and students with low abilities. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that: the most frequent types of errors made by the first students were comprehension errors or errors in understanding information. Second, process skill errors or calculation process skill errors. Third, the transformation error or error determines the formula where students are wrong in writing the formula to be used. Fourth, encoding errors. The causative factor is that students do not understand the concept of trigonometry material and do not master the concept so that students are unable to relate it to the previous material. Students do not know the problem-solving techniques, are not careful in working and are in a hurry or cannot take advantage of the time allotted.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe student errors in geometry using Ennis criteria. This research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive research type. Research instruments include tests, interviews. This research took 3 subjects with different abilities, namely students with high abilities, students with medium abilities and students with low abilities. Based on the research results, it was concluded that students' mistakes in solving problems based on Ennis' criteria were that students with high abilities made mistakes in the overview section. And students with moderate abilities make mistakes in the criteria of focus, inference, situation, clarity and overview. Wherease, students with low mathematical skills make mistakes in the criteria of focus, reason, situation, clarity and overview.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa dalam matakuliah geoemtri dasar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa tingkat 1 tahun akademik 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode tes dan wawancara. Keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan mereduksi, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah 33 % mahasiswa pada mata kuliah geometri dasar mempunyai kemampuan komunikasi matematis sangat baik, 50 % mahasiswa pada mata kuliah geometri dasar mempunyai kemampuan komunikasi matematis baik dan 17 % mahasiswa dengan kategori kemampuan komunikasi matematis cukup dan tidak ada mahasiswa dengan kategori kemampuan komunikasi matematis kurang.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) dengan media PUPYLO pada materi teorema Pythagoras. Jenis Penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Dalam Penelitian Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini yang menjadi subjek adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIIIC MTs Nurush Sholihin Tamanarum Parang Magetan yang terdiri dari 15 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan lembar observasi. Hasil Penelitian Tindakan Kelas penerapan model kooperatif tipe Numbered Head Together (NHT) dengan media PUPYLO diperoleh hasil ketuntasan belajar yaitu 86,67%. Dari hasil prosentase observasi aktivitas guru terjadi peningkatan 0.7% dari 87,5% menjadi 88,2%. Sedangkan prosentase aktivitas siswa terjadi peningkatan 0.49% dari 86,32% menjadi 86,81% dengan kriteria baik
