Abstract

The Project to Strengthen the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) is an effort to translate the goals of national education into six dimensions, namely: 1) faith, devotion to God Almighty, and noble character, 2) independence, 3) cooperation, 4) global diversity, 5) critical thinking, and 6) creativity. This research aims to determine the implementation of P5 in Sekolah Penggerak Samarinda. Qualitative methods were used by conducting interviews with principals, teachers, and P5 project leaders in 5 Sekolah Penggerak. The research findings show that P5 has been implemented in Sekolah Penggerak with different themes and patterns. Common themes include local wisdom, entrepreneurship, and sustainable lifestyles. The implementation of P5 still does not follow the implementation stages according to the P5 guidelines and is implemented with different patterns integrated with and outside of learning. Evaluating continues to focus on assessing the final product rather than the working process.

Abstract

This study employs a quantitative approach to comprehensively map and analyze multi-hazard disaster risks in the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) area, with a primary focus on flood and landslide threats. The research involved extensive data collection through field surveys, direct observations, documentation, and the acquisition of geospatial datasets to ensure accurate representation of the study area. The collected data were analyzed using a combination of scoring techniques, map overlays, and disaster risk classification methods. All analyses were conducted using Geographic Information System (GIS) software to produce a detailed thematic risk map. In accordance with the Regulation of the Head of BNPB Number 2 of 2012 concerning general guidelines for disaster risk assessment, the study classified hazard risks into three categories: low, medium, and high. Spatial analysis results indicate that low-risk areas occupy 76,576.37 hectares, approximately 57.47% of the total study area. Moderate-risk areas cover 11,131 hectares or 7.63%, while high-risk areas account for 58,236.45 hectares, approximately 39.90%. These findings highlight significant variations in vulnerability and hazard exposure across the IKN region. The produced multi-hazard map serves as a crucial tool for development planning and disaster risk mitigation, providing essential information for local authorities, urban planners, and policymakers. By identifying areas with different levels of risk, this study contributes to enhancing community safety, protecting critical infrastructure, and supporting sustainable development in the IKN area. The comprehensive spatial approach ensures that disaster preparedness strategies are grounded in scientific analysis and real-world data, offering a foundation for proactive risk management and long-term resilience.

Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of interactive e-modules in improving Grade X students’ learning outcomes in basic map knowledge at SMAN 2 Tenggarong Seberang. The research used a quantitative pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving 22 students. Data were collected through a 10-item multiple-choice test and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Shapiro–Wilk normality testing, paired sample t-test, and Cohen’s d. The mean pretest score was 63.82, while the posttest mean increased to 77.73. The paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p = 0.006), and the effect size indicated a moderate impact (d = 0.657). These findings show that interactive e-modules are effective in supporting student-centered geography learning and improving students’ conceptual understanding of map symbols, scale, orientation, and interpretation. The study contributes evidence for developing digital geography instruction that is more interactive, flexible, and conceptually meaningful in secondary education. It also supports wider use of e-modules in visual geography topics strategically.

Abstract

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting the local economy, especially in areas far from major urban centers. However, comprehensive studies linking visitors' perceptions of weekend MSME activities with regional perspectives are still limited. This study aims to analyze visitors' perceptions of MSME activities on weekends and the regional conditions of the Padan Liu Burung area, Malinau Regency, as a supporting space for these activities. Data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with 42 respondents in January 2026, then analyzed using descriptive statistics on a 1–5 Likert scale and thematic analysis triangulated with survey findings. The results show that perceptions of MSME activities are in the high category (M = 4.149; SD = 0.512), especially in terms of liveliness and social interaction. Perceptions of regional conditions were also high (M = 3.868; SD = 0.583), but lower than the activity dimension, particularly in terms of cleanliness, supporting facilities, stall layout, and parking management. These findings indicate that the area has developed as a dynamic temporary public space but still faces challenges in spatial governance. Theoretically, this study proposes that the sustainability of temporary public spaces based on MSMEs requires a balance between experiential value and spatial governance, so that high social vitality needs to be balanced with adaptive infrastructure and spatial management capacity. These findings contribute to economic geography and regional planning studies in understanding the spatiotemporal dynamics of community-based local economic activities.

Abstract

The damage to road infrastructure in East Kutai Regency, particularly in Long Pejeng Village, indicates a gap between the region's economic potential and the low quality of basic infrastructure, impacting community mobility and socio-economic activities. However, the current approach to infrastructure development tends to be top- down and often ignores local perspectives, even though the experiences of the community as the primary users are a crucial source of information for understanding the causes of damage. This study aims to analyze community perceptions of the determinants of road damage and identify the dominant factors that emerge in the narratives of residents' experiences. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of 10 key informants. The results show that road damage is influenced by several main determinants, namely: (1) low material quality due to limited village budget; (2) construction that does not meet technical standards such as material composition and layer thickness; (3) vehicle load pressure that exceeds road capacity; and (4) environmental factors such as rainfall, waterlogging, and topographic conditions that accelerate degradation. These findings indicate that material and budget factors are the most dominant determinants, which are then reinforced by technical and environmental factors, forming a recurring cycle of damage. This situation has resulted in increased transportation costs, disrupted community mobility, and reduced regional connectivity. The study concluded that road damage is multidimensional, necessitating integrated development policies that adapt to local conditions and are supported by improved technical quality, strengthened budgets, and community participation in development planning.
