Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to apply the Stepping Stone transportation method to optimize transportation costs for sending personal protective equipment (PPE) to thirteen health centers in Pamekasan. The method used is the Stepping Stone transportation method because it can manage the distribution of several warehouses that provide products to be sent to places in need optimally, which was previously a problem due to the length of time for sending medicines and PPE to each health centre and shipping operational costs are increasing because the distance of each warehouse to each health centre in each sub-district is very influential for cost as well as time. Based on the results of transportation simulations with this method, the results of the distribution cost of PPE delivery to each health centre in Pamekasan were obtained with distribution to Pamekasan warehouses of 30,000 units, Pakong warehouses of 15,000 units, Tlanakan warehouses of 10,000 units, and Pasean warehouses of 19,500 units, with optimal costs of IDR 37,000,000. The contribution of this research can be used by the Pamekasan District Health Office as an alternative policy for distributing PPE to each health centre in Pamekasan at an optimal cost.

Abstract

Tourism has emerged as a key contributor to state revenue and has played a crucial role in national economic recovery following the Covid-19 pandemic, establishing itself as a new engine for the country’s economic growth. In response to this, the government—through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy—is actively promoting development in the tourism sector to enhance numerous tourist attractions in Indonesia, which are renowned for their beauty and recognized globally. However, the Ministry faces several challenges, including the need for technological advancements and the expansion of infrastructure. Addressing these needs will require substantial financial investment to optimize all tourism sites. This study aims to identify 22 tourist attractions across Indonesia using the Profile Matching method in Python programming, based on seven established criteria. The uniqueness about this study is that this research implemented  a simple Python script and the tourist attractions are spread across all regions of Indonesia. The results of the study highlight three tourist destinations that warrant government attention for optimization: Lake Maninjau, Rantepao, and Seminyak. To facilitate improvement, several areas require focus, including upgrading access roads, enhancing basic facilities, fostering community participation, developing human resources, and leveraging technology. The analysis using Python demonstrates that the software performs efficiently, processing 22 data points with seven criteria in a mere 0.06 seconds.

Abstract

The current use of digital technology has a lot of influence on human life, especially human sociological aspects, such as patterns of interaction, knitting relationships between individuals, patterns of social behavior relationships, individual attitudes and actions, and so on. The purpose of this research is to find out the digital technology that is in demand and the most widely used by students in modern and salaf Islamic boarding schools and to find out how the influence of digital technology on the social relations of students/women with the internal and external environment of the Islamic boarding school. The research was carried out using a quantitative survey and correlational approach to determine the influence of the intensity of use of social media (Youtube, Whatsapp, Instagram) on social skills in salaf and modern Islamic boarding school students. The sampling technique was random sampling at three Salaf and modern Islamic boarding schools with a sample size of 204. The results of the validity and reliability tests obtained Cronbach's alpha values above 0.6, indicating that the instruments used in the research were valid and reliable. The data analysis technique was carried out using SEM PLS SmartPLS. The results of the research are that there is a relationship between the intensity and duration of social media use by students in Salaf and modern Islamic boarding schools and their level of social skills. This shows that social media usage patterns can influence their ability to interact socially, both positively and negatively.
