Abstract

The combustion process is one of the alternative methods of processing waste are effectively used in the processing of household organic waste. In this study used a continuous combustion incinerator system, with a flow rate of garbage 10 kg / h and a water content of 15% by the air blast rate of 1,5 - 2,5 liters / sec. Heat of combustion is used to heat water in a boiler that is monitored / measured temperature and vapor pressure. This study aimed to obtain characterization Heating (temperature vs. time) and the potential energy that can be used to heat water in a kettle containing 5 liters of water with warming from the burning of household organic waste experimentally. Based on visual observation and temperature measurement, combustion of household organic waste can produce a continuous burning about 30 minutes, and the temperature between 350-400oC on the outer side walls of the boiler / closest to the combustion chamber, the water in the kettle boiling (100 ° C) after about 25 minutes, from the observed data can be calculated energy that can be utilized for heating is from about 5000 KJ of energy generated from waste incineration, 2000 to 3000 KJ can be used for heating water in a 5 liter boiler. Abstract

Often the cut side of the plate pieces on the lever scissors is not good (distortion occurs). This is due to the incompatibility of cutting variables, such as clearance and cutting angle of both scissors knife. The extent to which the effect of the clearance and the cutting edge of the scissor knife on the cutting of the steel plate is to be studied to obtain the appropriate cutting parameter as reference in the slashing work of the plate with the lever scissors.This research is aimed to know the proper clearance and cutting angle for various variations of steel plate thickness. The thickness of the steel plate as a specimen of the test specimens was of a size 1.61 mm, 2.63 mm, 3.85 mm, 4.95 mm and 5.39 mm, respectively. While the variation of cutting angle of scissor knife include: 75o, 77,5o, 80o, 82,5o and 85o.The test results showed that cutting of 1.61mm thick steel plate with 0.5 mm clearance and 77,5o cutting angle resulted in good cuts with 45% incision depth. On steel plates with thickness of 2.63mm and 3.85mm, the best cut results at 1mm clearance and cutting angle of scissors knife 77,5o, where the depth of incision successively reached 35% and 25%. For thick plates 4.95 mm and 5.39 mm, the best results of the incision depth were respectively 20% and 18% on clearance 2 mm and cutting angle 82,5o.

Abstract

Steel has good mechanical properties compared with the other materials, that is strength, hardness, rigidity, etc. Specially the steel hardness can be increased by heat treatment (Hardening). The purpose of this research is to obtain information about hardness of S45C steel after hardening by variation of cooling media. This research were used Ø 25 mm x 10 mm S45C steel, Hardened by variation of cooling media and then they were tested by Rockwell Harness Test. The result showed that the hardness of S45C steel after hardening increased from about 15 HRC (before hardening) to 71.89 HRC (Brane quenching), 68.22 HRC (Water quenching), 64.67 HRC (Water + Soluble oil quenching) and 56.89 HRC (Oil quenching), but for the range were opposite to 3.84 HRC (Brane quenching), 4.24 HRC ( Water quenching), 4.22 HRC (Water + Soluble oil quenching) and 5.65 HRC (Oil quenching)

Abstract

Motorcycle problems with large (cylinder / cc) engines are generally located on the sprocket gears that are rapidly wearing wear. The objective of this study was to increase the hardness of sprocket gears, while improving their wear resistance through hardening heat treatment process with variation of holding time and cooling medium. The research method included heating the specimen up to its critical temperature (850 ° C), retained with variations of holding time of 30, 60, and 90 minutes, then cooled rapidly (quenching) on water cooling, brine, and oil variations. The results showed an increase in the hardness of sprocket gears, with maximum hardness increases occurring at 30 minutes and 30 minutes of brine cooling.

Abstract

Household waste has the potential to generate economic value. One of the benefits is that organic waste can be managed and turned into organic fertilizer. The women of PKK RT 15/ RW 11, Banjararum Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency have problems that organic waste has not been managed and have toga plants that require compost for treatment. This community service activity aims to provide organic waste chopper and to train skills in making organic fertilizers by empowering PKK women. The stages carried out in service activities were surveys, coordination, tool making, training, and evaluation. The service implementation results showed that the organic waste chopper worked correctly and produced a small size of waste. The training on making organic fertilizer with a mixture of local micro-organisms (MOL) was done successfully, and PKK women participated enthusiastically. With this service activity, residents of RT 15 and PKK women can manage organic waste well and produce organic fertilizer for the needs of toga plants and can be sold to other residents.

Abstract

Salah satu bentuk pendidikan prasekolah bagi anak-anak usia dibawah 7tahun ialah play grup,serta taman kanak kanak. di desa desa dan kecamatan terdapat banyak pendidikan Taman Kanak Kanak serta play grup.. Pendidikan ini pada umumnya dikelola swasembada , karena pemerintah belum banyak menyediakan bantuan pendidikan Taman Kanak Kanak khususnya di tingkat desa . sehingga kebanyakan Taman Kanak Kanak di daerah pedesaan itu swakelola. Kecamatan Kalipare terletak 45 Km kearah selatan kota Malang, dan Di Desa. Kaliasri masih belum banyak TK karena untuk mendirikan TK maupun playgrup banyak persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi : guru yang kompeten dibidangnya, gedung sekolah, ruang bermain, sarana bermain dan fasilitas lain yang mendukung proses belajar mengajar. itu semua memerlukan dana yang cukup besar. Dengan jumlah fasilitas bermain yang masih minim TK Dharma Wanita Persatuan 3 Kaliasri.terus meningkatkan pelayanan pendidikan prasekolah kepada masyarakat sekitarnya. Dalam operasional sehari-harinya dana yang diperoleh dari masyarakat sangat kurang, sehingga untuk pelaksanaan harian dan pengembangan sarana penunjang untuk bermain bagi anak-anak peserta didik tentu saja tidak mungkin. Oleh karena itu dengan adanaya pengapdian masyarakat ini maka sekolah merasa sangat terbantu dengan ditambahnya sarana bermain “Hang ledder”

Abstract

PPM ini bertujuan untuk memecahkan masalah para petani yang sebagian besar petani cengkeh dan hasil perkebunan. Perkumpulannya bernama Bina Usaha Sukses domisili di Desa Sumber Agung Gunung Sudo RT 37 RW 04 Kecamatan Sumbermanjing Wetan Kabupaten Malang. Mitra mempunyai masalah serius pada oven pengeringnya yang boros energi, mutu pengeringan kurang baik karena tidak rata dan ada keluhan kalau menutup pintu harus dua orang. Dengan adanya masalah itu maka pendapatan petani turun karena beli gas LPG lebih banyak, harga jual produk turun karena mutu pengeringan kurang rata/baik dan butuh dua orang untuk menutup pintu serta waktu mengoven tidak bisa ditinggal karena nyala api tidak bisa diatur. Solusi untuk menyelesaikan masalah tersebut adalah dengan: Memperbaiki otomatis nyala api supaya suhu pemanasan konstan sehingga waktu mengoven tidak perlu ditunggu. Mengatur nyala api dengan mendistribusikan LPG ke kompor merata sehingga pemanasan oven bisa rata. Mengganti pintu yang lama system geser dengan buka dan nutup pintu system biasa. Telah berhasil dengan oven hemat energi, dioperasikan cukup satu orang, otomatis pemanasnya bekerja dengan baik dan sudah tidak ada kebocoran energi panas. Oven telah dicoba oleh kelompok tani dengan hasil sesuai yang diharapkan

Abstract

Mitra kami adalah peternak ayam jawa atau biasa disebut masyarakat ayam pejantan atau ayam jawa. Jumlah ayam yang diternak sekitar 3000 sd 4000 ekor. Mitra mempunyai masalah serius tentang air untuk kebutuhan ayam, terutama air untuk minum dan untuk mencuci wadah air minum dan wadah makanan. Kebutuhan air untuk ayam minimum sekitar 60 cc/hari. Air di ambil dari rumah dan dibawa dengan jerigen pakai gerobak sehingga kebutuhan air tidak terpenuhi. Solusi masalah kekurangan air dari peternak ayam ini adalah dengan memasang pipa untuk menyalurkan air dari rumah terdekat ke kandang. Jarak rumah terdekat dengan kandang sekitar 200 m. Penyelesaiannya adalah menyiapkan air sesuai kebutuhan dengan cara memasang pipa air dari rumah ke kendang. Pertama menghitung kebutuhan air yang sebenarnya untuk ayam, kemudian membuat denah saluran air, mengajukan ijin pemasangan pipa, memasang saluran air dan kelengkapannya. Dengan terpenuhi kebutuhan air untuk ayam maka jumlah ayam yang mati berkurang dan peternak ayam tidak mengalami kerugian yang banyak.

Abstract

Baja tahan karat mempunyai sifat mekanik yang baik dibanding dengan bahan lain untuk kekuatan dan kekerasan, akan tetapi jika dilakukan pengelasan sifat kekuatan dan kekerasan akan berubah sesuai dengan laju pendinginan. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperoleh informasi tentang: nilai kekuatan tarik dan kekerasan baja tahan karat martensitik hasil pengelasan dengan laju pendinginan yang bervariasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen yaitu dengan melakukan proses pengelasan pada baja tahan karat martensitik dengan variasi laju pendinginan, hasil eksperimen diuji tarik dan diuji kekerasan dengan metode Rockwell C (HRC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kekuatan tarik sedikit turun dari 68 Kg/mm2 menjadi 50,67 - 66.60 Kg/mm2 diperoleh dari proses pengelasan dengan media pendingin udara 66.60 Kg/mm2, media pendingin pasir 50,67 Kg/mm2 dan media pendingin kapur 55,80 Kg/mm2, sedangkan kekerasan mengalami peningkatan dari 22 HRC menjadi 42,0 – 57,25 HRC, yaitu diperoleh dari media pendingin udara 57,25 HRC, media pendingin pasir 53,00 HRC dan media pendingin kapur 42,00 HRC.

Abstract

Stainless steel has good mechanical properties compared to other materials for strength and hardness, usually it will increase in hardness after hardening or forging. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about: The value of hardness and tensile strength of martensitic stainless steel forging with various deformations and cooling. The research method used is an experimental method, namely by forging on martensitic stainless steel with variations in deformation and cooling rate. Variations of forging deformation used are 25%, 50%, and 75%. The cooling media used are water, oil and air. The results of forgings with various cooling media were tested for tensile strength and tested for hardness using the Rockwell C (HRC) method. It was found that the higher the value of forging deformation, the higher the value of strength and hardness of martensitic stainless steel. This is because more and more martensite structures are recrystallized. In addition, it was also found that water and air cooling media gave an increase in the hardness of martensitic stainless steels. This is influenced by the cooling rate, where the higher the cooling rate, the more martensite structures formed, thus increasing the hardness value. The increase in hardness value is proportional to the increase in yield strength and tensile strength.
