Abstract

Technology in the field of communication that is the result of the times is the smartphone. Indonesian people have the potential to be addicted to smartphones, especially among teenagers. Addiction to smartphones certainly has many negative impacts, one of which is that people become apathetic, people become less concerned about their surroundings because they are more focused on smartphones. The purpose of this study is to obtain an analysis of the conditions in reducing smartphone addiction in educational activities. Guidance and counseling teachers or counselors (Counselors) have a role to provide guidance and counseling services. One of the services that can be provided to reduce smartphones is content mastery services with a behavioral contract approach model. The research findings reveal that in reducing smartphone addiction behavior through the behavior contract model, individuals can control themselves more and be wise in using their smartphones.

Abstract

Bullying among teenagers in Islamic boarding schools poses significant challenges to student well-being and academic environments. This study investigates the effectiveness of behavioristic group counseling, utilizing contingency contracting strategies, to reduce bullying behaviors. A single-case experimental AB design was employed, involving ten eighth-grade students from Islamic boarding schools. Data were collected using validated youth instruments specific to the context of Islamic boarding schools. The intervention's impact was analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks t-test to compare pretest and posttest bullying behavior scores. Statistical analysis revealed significant reductions in bullying behaviors among the participants following the intervention. All ten respondents in the experimental group demonstrated notable declines in bullying behavior scores from the baseline (pretest) to the intervention period (posttest). These findings indicate the efficacy of group counseling with contingency contracting strategies in mitigating bullying behaviors. The results support the potential of behavioristic group counseling as an intervention to address bullying among teenagers in Islamic boarding schools. The observed reductions in bullying behaviors highlight the utility of contingency contracting strategies as a targeted approach in educational settings. Group counseling with contingency contracting strategies effectively reduces bullying behavior in Islamic boarding schools. Future research with larger and more diverse samples is recommended to generalize these findings and explore additional contextual factors influencing intervention success.

Abstract

Penyalahgunaan zat psikoaktif merupakan salah satu faktor risiko utama munculnya gangguan kesehatan mental yang berdampak pada fungsi psikologis, sosial, dan spiritual individu. Pendekatan rehabilitasi yang bersifat holistik menjadi kebutuhan mendesak dalam upaya pemulihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran psikoterapi Islam sebagai pendekatan rehabilitatif bagi individu dengan gangguan mental akibat penyalahgunaan zat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi lapangan dan analisis dokumen hasil wawancara semi-terstruktur pada pasien rehabilitasi di yayasan Rehabilitasi Islami Qurrota A’yun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa psikoterapi Islam berkontribusi dalam menurunkan intensitas gejala psikotik, meningkatkan kontrol emosi, serta memperkuat insight dan makna hidup pasien. Pendekatan ini bekerja melalui integrasi aspek psikologis dan spiritual, seperti pembiasaan ibadah, refleksi diri, dan dukungan lingkungan religius. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa psikoterapi Islam memiliki potensi signifikan sebagai pendekatan rehabilitatif komplementer dalam pemulihan gangguan mental akibat penyalahgunaan zat.
