Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out what factors cause people's interest to change to be interested in a minimalist home model. This will be related to several determinants seen from the structural factors in the old buildings compared to the building models that are mostly built by the grobogan community. Design/methodology/approach: Javanese community is identical with Joglo Limasan house building which has its own value for Javanese people from several aspects. The structure of the Joglo Limasan house for the Javanese community consisting of four pillars is the main structure supporting this traditional building. Along with the times, there has been a change of function from the aspect of building construction which was once considered a strong structure. There has been a shift in community interest to rebuild houses with joglo-style roofs. Findings: This can be influenced by cost, material, culture and level of difficulty in building. The author identifies through a case study of limasan Joglo house buildings around the Kemloko village which includes rural areas where almost 90% of the houses have joglo limasan roofs. Because the people in this village are migrants with expertise as builders and overseas workers, many people have had a modern home experience with simple and cheaper roof structures. Originality/value/limitations of the study: The results of this identification are to find out what causes people to prefer modern homes over joglo houses.

Abstract

Pabrik adalah tempat untuk memproses bahan mentah menjadi barang jadi. Intensitas penggunaan daya listrik dan mesin yang tinggi, menyebabkan resiko kebakaran yang terjadi di lingkungan pabrik juga semakin tinggi. Material bahan baku dan bahan kimia yang digunakan juga mudah menimbulkan bahaya kebakaran. Untuk dapat membuat lingkungan pabrik tetap aman dan nyaman bagi karyawan yang bekerja di sana terutama dari bahaya kebakaran, maka diperlukan sistem proteksi kebakaran yang memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan. Tujuan Penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan sistem proteksi pasif dan sarana penyelamatan, mengetahui tingkat reliabilitas sistem keselamatan bangunan terhadap bahaya kebakaran yang sudah diimplementasikan pada bangunan pabrik. Data diperoleh berdasarkan observasi di lapangan dengan berpedoman pada Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum No:26/PRT/M/2008 dan Pd – T – 11 – 2005 – C tentang Pemeriksaan Keselamatan Kebakaran Bangunan Gedung. Dari hasil analisis didapat bahwa penerapan peraturan sarana penyelamatan pada bangunan pabrik memiliki total nilai rata-rata 4,75 dalam skala likert dan untuk penerapan sistem proteksi pasif memiliki nilai rata-rata 2,47 dalam skala likert.  Tingkat reliabilitas atau nilai keandalan sistem keselamatan bangunan (NKSKB) mendapat nilai 87,32 %. Dari hasil ini sistem keselamatan bangunan dikategorikan baik, hanya ada beberapa komponen yang belum terpasang dengan baik, sehingga perlunya peningkatan dan perbaikan terhadap sarana keselamatan bangunan agar nantinya dapat menjamin keselamatan pengguna bangunan terutama para pekerja di pabrik tersebut.

Abstract

Rumput ilalang yang berlimpah di alam sekeliling kita, diduga memiliki potensi sebagai bahan bangunan alternatif. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti berusaha mengetahui salah satu sifat mekanik bahan (kekuatan bending) serat ilalang. Metode penelitian ini diawali dengan menyiapkan bahan penelitian tangkai ilalang, resin epoksi, alat yang digunakan pengaduk, meteran, timbangan digital, cetakan, oven, mesin bending dan mesin impak izot. Prosedur yang dilakukan dalam pengambilan data variasi perendaman NaOH tangkai ilalang 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% selama 1 jam, lalu dikeringkan dibawah sinar matahari dan dioven pada temperatur 110 °C selama 45 menit hingga menyisakan kadar air tangkai ilalang 4%. Tangkai ilalang yang sudah dipotong panjang 1 mm ditaruh diwadah dicampur dengan resin epoksi dengan perbandingan 40% tangkai ilalang dan 60% resin epoksi diaduk 70x selama 12 menit dituang dicetakan. Tahap pengujian untuk mengetahui kekuatan bending mengacu pada ASTM-6277 dengan metode four poin bending dengan dimensi spesimen panjang 127 mm, lebar 12,7 mm. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa kekuatan bending optimal dimiliki oleh komposit dengan alkali perendaman serat pada larutan NaOH 4% yaitu sebesar 97,71 MPa. Kesimpulannya bahwa potensi serat tangkai ilalang cukup besar dibuat sebagai bahan panel pintu kamar mandi.
