Abstract

Kejadian luka tekan dievaluasi setelah 3x 24 jam. Hasil penelitian menyatakan perbandingan kejadian luka tekan sangat signifikan (p= 0,039, α= 0,05), R= 9,600, kelompok kontrol berpeluang terjadi luka tekan hampir 10 kali dibanding kelompok intervensi. Pengaturan posisi miring 30 derajat sebaiknya dijadikan sebagai strategi pencegahan luka tekan. AbstractMorbidity and mortality from pressure ulcer are increasing in number. The application of injury prevention strategies based on the recommendations. The aim of this research to identify the effect of 30 degree lateral positioning on the incidence of grade I (Non Blanchable Erythema) pressure ulcer. The method used quasi-experimental with control group study, purposive sampling technique involving 33 patients, divided into 2 groups, (control n=16, intervention n=17). Both groups received the standard of care in the hospital. The intervention group was given 30 degree lateral position by using a triangular pillow. The incidence of grade I pressure ulcer were evaluated within 3x24 hours. The result show that the incidence of pressure ulcer was statistically significant between the group (p= 0,03, α= 0,05) OR=9.600, where the control group have an almost 10 times the risk to development of grade I pressure ulcer. 30 degree lateral position should be used as a pressure ulcer prevention strategies.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease marked by high blood glucose levels as a result of deficiency of insulin secretion, impaired insulin activity or both. This study aims to determine the relationship of spirituality and self-efficacy with compliance. This research design uses a correlation analysis with cross-sectional design. The number of samples of 102 people conducted in Yogyakarta Hospital. The results of correlation analysis using the chi square test showed relationship of spirituality and self-efficacy to quality of life (P values of spirituality: 0.000, P value of self-efficacy: 0.000; α: 0.15). Confounding variables on the relationship of spirituality and self-efficacy in compliance is the economic status and knowledge of this, nurses need to provide comprehensive nursing care, especially in terms of spirituality and self-efficacy from from assessment until evaluation in improving patient compliance type 2 DM. Keyword: Diabetes Mellitus, spirituality, self-efficacy, compliance.1Santi Damayanti S.Kep.,Ns,,Universitas Respati Yogyakarta2DR. Abstract

Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) can have low self-efficacy due to symptoms of shortness of breath and cough. Proper use of an inhaler is able to overcome these symptoms. The majority of COPD patients are still using inhalers incorrectly. Inhaler use training can improve the technique of inhaler use and is expected to improve self-efficacy in COPD patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of inhaler training on self-efficacy in COPD patients. The research design used a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group pretest-postest. Thirty-six patients with COPD were selected using consecutive sampling and were divided into groups that followed the inhaler training and those who did not follow the inhaler training. The results showed that there was a significant improvement in self-efficacy in COPD patients by 9.33 score after the inhaler training (p=0.001; p<0.05) and there was a significant difference in self-efficacy change of 6 scores compared to COPD patients who did not follow the inhaler training (p=0.000; p<0.05). In conclusion, there was an influence of inhaler training on self-efficacy in COPD patients so inhaler training is recommended to that nurses to be given to COPD patients.
