Abstract

University students’ mental health has become a critical concern within Indonesia’s higher education landscape. This study aims to design and develop a mental health monitoring system based on the technology at STMIK Widya Cipta Dharma Samarinda. The system utilizes a NodeMCU microcontroller integrated with heart rate and body temperature sensors to collect users’ physiological data in real-time. This information is displayed via an LCD screen and can be accessed wirelessly through a Wi-Fi-based application. The research methodology involves system design, hardware and software implementation, and functional testing through an experimental approach. The results indicate that the system is capable of accurately and reliably monitoring vital signs, making it a potentially effective early screening tool for identifying symptoms of mental health disorders such as stress and anxiety. This finding is expected to raise awareness among students regarding the importance of mental well-being and to encourage active participation in preventive efforts. Furthermore, the study paves the way for broader development of technology-based mental health monitoring systems that can be integrated with institutional psychological services.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design and build a website that provides information about spiritual objects in the Saint Luke Parish Catholic Church in Samarinda, with the hope of making it easier for the congregation to access the information. The method used in developing this website is the Waterfall method. This process includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Each stage is carried out sequentially to ensure that all aspects of the website can function properly. The results of this study indicate that the website that was built can provide accurate and easily accessible information about spiritual objects. In addition, this website is also equipped with features that make it easy for users to search for and obtain the information they need. The original value of this study lies in the development of a website that is specific to the needs of the Saint Luke Parish Catholic Church in Samarinda, which does not yet have an adequate digital platform to convey information about spiritual objects. This website is expected to be a useful source of information for the congregation and increase their involvement in church activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepuasan pegawai terhadap aplikasi e-KGB (Elektronik Kenaikan Gaji Berkala) pada Badan Kepegawaian Daerah (BKD) Provinsi Kalimantan Timur Menggunakan Metode End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS). Aplikasi e-KGB dirancang untuk mempermudah proses administrasi kenaikan gaji berkala bagi pegawai di BKD Kaltim. Namun, penerimaan dan kepuasan pegawai terhadap aplikasi ini masih perlu dievaluasi untuk memastikan keberhasilan implementasi dan memberikan dasar bagi perbaikan aplikasi di masa depan. Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada pegawai yang menggunakan aplikasi e-KGB di BKD Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Responden diminta untuk memberikan penilaian terhadap masing-masing dimensi EUCS berdasarkan pengalaman mereka dalam menggunakan aplikasi tersebut. yang mengukur kepuasan pengguna berdasarkan lima dimensi EUCS, yaitu Content, Accuracy, Format, Ease of Use dan Timeliness. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pegawai merasa puas dengan aplikasi e-KGB, terutama terkait kemudahan penggunaan dan kualitas informasi yang diberikan.

Abstract

This study aims to design an integrated, web-based Internship Management Information System specifically for the Department of Communication and Informatics of East Kalimantan Province. The background of this research lies in the existing manual internship administration process, including participant registration, document verification, daily attendance recording, performance evaluation, and certificate issuance, all of which are time-consuming and prone to errors. The research adopts the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model, encompassing requirements analysis, system design, and the development of user interface mockups, without proceeding to actual system implementation. Requirements analysis was conducted through literature review, observation, and interviews with stakeholders to formulate the functional and non-functional needs of the system. The result is a comprehensive system blueprint, consisting of main process flowcharts, UML diagrams (use case, class, activity), and user interface designs for admins, participants, and supervisors. The system design enables online registration, digital data verification, daily reporting by participants, real-time monitoring by supervisors, automated evaluation based on specific criteria, as well as digital certificate generation and verification by the admin. This blueprint is expected not only to accelerate and simplify the internship process but also to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in talent data management within the Department of Communication and Informatics of East Kalimantan Province. Furthermore, the system design can serve as a model for developing similar applications in other government agencies.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the implications of artificial intelligence (AI) on criminal law and its potential to transform the legal landscape. It explores the challenges and opportunities presented by AI in the context of criminal justice systems. The research adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing a comprehensive literature review to examine the existing legal frameworks and policies related to AI in criminal law. It also analyzes case studies and examples of AI applications in criminal justice to provide a holistic understanding of the subject matter. The findings reveal that AI has the potential to significantly impact various aspects of criminal law, including crime prevention, investigation, evidence analysis, sentencing, and rehabilitation. AI technologies can enhance efficiency, accuracy, and objectivity in decision-making processes. However, they also raise concerns regarding privacy, bias, accountability, and the potential for misuse. The study highlights the need for a robust legal framework that addresses these challenges while harnessing the benefits of AI in criminal law. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on the intersection of AI and criminal law. By examining the implications and potential of AI in the context of criminal justice systems, it provides insights for policymakers, legal professionals, and scholars. The research emphasizes the importance of proactive regulation and ethical considerations to ensure the responsible and fair implementation of AI technologies in criminal law. Abstract

Proses pembentukan peraturan daerah, sebagaimana diuraikan dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 12 Tahun 2011, menekankan perlunya partisipasi masyarakat. Partisipasi ini sangat penting dalam memastikan bahwa peraturan lokal mencerminkan kebutuhan dan aspirasi masyarakat, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan kesejahteraan rakyat. Tahapan yang terlibat dalam pembentukan peraturan daerah meliputi perencanaan, persiapan, diskusi, promulgasi, dan diseminasi, dengan keterlibatan masyarakat aktif menjadi komponen kunci sepanjang tahapan ini. Partisipasi masyarakat dalam proses legislatif sangat penting untuk pemerintahan demokratis, mendorong keterlibatan publik, legitimasi, dan pembuatan peraturan yang selaras dengan tuntutan masyarakat. Mengabaikan prinsip-prinsip partisipatif dalam pembentukan peraturan daerah dapat menimbulkan tantangan dalam kepatuhan dan efektivitas hukum, menyoroti pentingnya keterlibatan masyarakat dalam proses legislative. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, yang memungkinkan pemahaman mendalam tentang topik dan perspektif peserta. Membahas permasalahan yang relevan dan tepat waktu, yaitu pembentukan peraturan daerah, dan menyoroti pentingnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam proses. Penelitian ini menyarankan solusi praktis untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat, seperti meningkatkan kesadaran dan memberikan akses informasi yang lebih baik, serta melibatkan Dewan Perwakilan Daerah dan mendidik masyarakat. Dan menekankan pentingnya mempertimbangkan kearifan lokal dan mengutamakan kepentingan masyarakat dalam pembentukan peraturan daerah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran dan prospek profesi teknologi sistem informasi dalam konteks keamanan informasi, serta untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana profesi ini dapat berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan keamanan data dan sistem informasi di berbagai organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis studi kasus di beberapa perusahaan yang telah menerapkan teknologi sistem informasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan para profesional di bidang teknologi informasi dan survei untuk mendapatkan wawasan tentang praktik terbaik dan tantangan yang dihadapi dalam menjaga keamanan informasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profesi teknologi sistem informasi memiliki peran penting dalam merancang, mengimplementasikan, dan memelihara sistem keamanan informasi yang efektif. Selain itu, terdapat kebutuhan yang semakin meningkat akan profesional yang terampil dalam mengatasi ancaman siber dan menjaga integritas data. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa pendidikan dan pelatihan berkelanjutan sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kemampuan para profesional di bidang ini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi baru dalam memahami hubungan antara profesi teknologi sistem informasi dan keamanan informasi. Temuan ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi organisasi dalam merumuskan strategi keamanan informasi yang lebih baik dan mendukung pengembangan profesional di bidang teknologi informasi.
