Abstract

The aim of the study is to search the entrepreneurial potency of students of Politeknik Negeri Bali (State Polytechnic of Bali). By knowing such a potential, the development of tourism business incubator within the college will be significant. Instead of giving theoretical and practical benefits in terms of teaching and learning for the subject of entrepreneurship, the existence of the incubator will prove that the institution also plays the role in creating job opportunity. In terms of teaching and learning process the result of the study will give support to the subject of entrepreneurship, for instance in production of updated teaching material and method. On the other hand, regarding job creations, institutional incubator business will give wider chance to students and fresh graduates to train themselves to create and practice business. To get view on the potency of entrepreneurship of the students, a number of 91 fourth semester students were chosen as research samples. Questionnaires were distributed to them, then analyzed using descriptive method. Three indicators of entrepreneurship, such as innovation, proactive, and risk acceptance, also indicator of the potency of business in tourism area were utilized to count means. It was found the value of 3.6. It means that between 1 to 5 of choice scale, the value of 3.6 is significant enough to indicate that the students have good potency for entrepreneurship. If it is developed seriously, they will be able to build their own business upon graduate. Such a data is significant enough as an indicator for further research at the second year, dealing with the development of business incubator in tourism area.

Abstract

Eksistensi usaha kecil termasuk usaha kerajinan payung tradisional Bali belum menunjukkan perkembangan sesuai harapan. Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, penulis ingin mendapatkan jawaban terhadap faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja usaha kerajinan payung tradisional Bali. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian survai dan explanatoris research. Unit analisis adalah para pengerajin yang jumlahnya 68 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam kaitannya meningkatkan kinerja usaha pengerajin, maka terlebih dahulu yang harus dibangun adalah kualitas kewirausahaan pengerajin, sedangkan kualitas diri kewirausahaan pengerajin dapat ditumbuh-kembangkan melalui terciptanya motivasi kerja yang tinggi, selalu mengikuti pendidikan kewirausahaan, dan membiasakan diri untuk menjalankan usaha dengan kekuatan sendiri (independensi). Penelitian juga menemukan bahwa semua variabel bebas (motivasi, pendidikan, dan kemandirian) mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kualitas kewirausahaan (signifikansi < 0,05), dan merupakan hubungan yang kuat (R = 0,772), sedangkan kontribusi variabel bebas terhadap perubanhan variabel terikat ditunjukkan oleh koefisien determinasi (R2). Sebesar 0,596 (59,6%) Dalam hubungannya dengan kinerja usaha, ternyata hanya variabel kualitas kewirausahaan yang mempunyai pengaruh langsung yang signigfikan, sedangkan variabel motivasi, pendidikan kewirausahaan, dan kemandirian usaha hanya berpengaruh secara tidak langsung melalui variabel kualitas kewirausahaan. Hubungan ini merupakan hubungan kuat (R=0,715), dengan kontribusi yang ditunjukkan koefisien determinasi R2 sebesar 0,512 (51,2%)

Abstract

Business incubators have a very important role in developing entrepreneurship, since it gives large opportunity to its participants to develop their business skill during incubation. The Indonesian government today provides a major boost to the development of business incubators in universities or other form of higher education institutions. The purpose of this research is to analyze the validation of the establishment of business incubator in colleges. In Ministerial Regulation (Permen) Minister of Cooperation and Small Medium Entrepreneurship the Republic of Indonesia No. 24/2015 explained that the head of the university, the Rector or the Director may issue a business incubators license. Thus, internal validation can be done by university or college management through the issuance of Decree (SK) Establishment complete with personnel appointed as manager. Furthermore, the college, has to provide a place or room consisting of office space, tenant room at least 3, discussion room 1, and tenant production display room. External validation is carried out by tenants through their success of becoming independent businessmen after being forged or incubated in a business incubator for a maximum of 3 years in one incubation period.

Abstract

The study aims at analyzing the direct and indirect effects of green human resources management, innovative work behaviour, knowledge inertia, and innovation of the coffee small medium entreprises (SMEs) in Bali. This study was conducted based on gaps in previous studies, namely: First, the limitations of research that discusses the study of process innovation compared to research that discusses product innovation. Second, the lack of studies that can enrich the implementation of GHRM at the micro level. Third, the lack of studies that can identify the factors forming a more comprehensive model of process innovation. Respondents were 284 Coffee SMEs in Bali. Data were collected by using quetionnaire. Path analysis is used in the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) equation with the help of SmartPLS. The results showed that: 1) Green human resources management has a possitive effect on innovation, 2) Green human resources management has a possitive effect on innovative work behavior, 3) innovative work behavior has a positive effect on innovation, 4) Innovative work behavior partially mediates the relationship between GHRM and innovation, 5) Knowledge inertia has no significant effect in moderating green human resource management (GHRM) to innovative work behavior.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation of training policies in an effort to improve employee performance in the human resources department at The Apurva Kempinski Bali, along with the obstacles that occur. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with technique of collecting data such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The Apurva Kempinski Bali focuses on the training policy program as one of the right policies to instill a work spirit that is in line with company values. Training is not only given to new employees as an orientation step, but also given to old employees as long as there is a gap between the abilities or expertise of the employees concerned by the needs of the organization. The process of implementation training policies in an effort to improve employee performance starts from analyzing training needs and, this becomes the basis for determining the material and duration of time to be provided. Then determine the training objectives, followed by determining the training methods, namely Role Playing, Case Study Method, and Job Rotation. After determine the methods, the implementation of the training policy is in accordance with the predetermined schedule, and the final process is the evaluating of the training policy program. Obstacles in implementing training policies in an effort to improve employee performance are the absence of a Training and Development Manager who focuses on supervising, coaching and reporting on any developments that occur during the implementation of the training policy program, and limited funds provided to conduct training.

Abstract

BUPDA (Bhaga Utsaha Desa Adat) Intaran memiliki peran penting dalam pembangunan dan perekonomian di desa adat terutama dengan terbitnya Peraturan Daerah (Perda) Provinsi Bali nomor 4 tahun 2022 tentang Desa Adat. Berdasarkan hasil observasi lapangan dan wawancara dengan Ketua Bupda Intaran bahwa mereka sangat ingin meningkatkan kinerja organisasi, mengingat jumlah unit bisnis nanti akan terus bertambah. Unit bisnis yang ada saat ini yaitu produksi, distribusi dan jasa. Bupda Intaran harus terus beradaptasi dengan perubahan lingkungan bisnis, kompleksitas tuntutan pelayanan, dan perkembangan teknologi untuk tetap relevan dan efektif dalam memberikan layanan terbaik. Dari hasil diskusi dengan ketua Bupda Intaran A. A. Ketut Gede Aryateja, S.T., diputuskan tiga masalah prioritas yang akan dilakukan pada kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan kepemimpinan, pelatihan pengelolaan arsip dan pelatihan hospitality (khususnya pelayanan prima) dari masing – masing unit usaha. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas kepemimpinan dan sistem pengelolaan arsip serta peningkatan pelayanan di Bupda Intaran. Untuk merealisasi tujuan tersebut akan dilakukan observasi lapangan, pelatihan kepemimpinan dan pelatihan pengelolaan arsip serta pelatihan hospitality tentang pelayanan prima. Dari kegiatan yang dilakukan diharapkan bisa meningkatkan kapasitas kepemimpinan dan sistem administrasi serta pelayanan, Bupda Intaran diharapkan dapat mengoptimalkan pelayanan publik dan berkontribusi positif dalam pembangunan dan perekonomian desa adat khususnya dan masyarakat secara keseluruhan.
