Abstract

Books and libraries are the keys to social changes in broadening the human mind. By reading many people will know all the information in all fields. However, reading is not only done in limited time and place. As the development of technology moves so fast, especially in the field of communication, information can be accessed very easily through various kinds of social media. One of the most accessible places to get information is the library. Nowadays, almost every village has a library since the government conducts a village literacy program by establishing a Community Library. The book is a window to the world and reading is its key. People who love to read and have a good learning attitude considered as a society that will be able to adapt and compete in this globalisation era. The advancement of technology enables people to access information quickly and easily from a variety of fields. It requires people to have the ability to explore, acquire, select and manage information in a smart way. Hence community library is an alternative in the effort of enlightening and educating people.

Abstract

Gerakan literasi, merupakan salah satu program dalam memajukan mutu sekolah. Khususnya dalam membentuk nilai-nilai karakter peserta didik. Untuk mengetahui pengembangan nilai-nilai karakter peserta didik melalui gerakan litersi sekolah, maka diperlukan sebuat penelitian. Oleh sebab itu, artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian tentang implementasi pengembangan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah dalam membentuk nilai-nilai karakter peserta didik yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 3 Pangkalpinang. Temuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu gerakan literasi yang dikembangkan di SMA Negeri 3 Pangkalpinang mencakup literasi dasar antara lain: literasi baca tulis, literasi numerasi, literasi sains, literasi digital, literasi budaya dan literasi kewargaan. Pelaksanaan gerakan literasi di SMA Negeri 3 Pangkalpinang dilakukan sesuai dengan Panduan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah di Sekolah Menengah Atas yang sudah memenuhi a. Tahap Pembiasaan (jenis Kegiatan tahapan pembiasaan, Indikator ketersiapan Gerakan literasi tahap pembiasaan), b. Tahap Pengembangan, c. Tahap Pembelajaran. Sedangkan nilai-nilai karakter yang dikembangkan dalam gerakan literasi sekolah antara lain: nilai nasionalis, nilai relegius, nilai nasionalis, nilai gotong royong dan nilai integritasyang terinternalisasi dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain systematic, authentic, and accurate information about the facts related to the application of differentiated learning to increase student activity at State Elementary School 10 Pangkalpinang and efforts to overcome obstacles to differentiated learning. This research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects were the principal, teachers, library staff, and students at SDN 10 Pangkalpinang. The researcher used both primary and secondary data. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation. In this study, researchers used the Miles and Huberman model data analysis procedure. The data obtained were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that (a) students are more active and involved in the learning process, which is reflected in their participation in discussions, questions, and group work. (b) Different teaching methods in differentiated learning, such as presenting content with videos, projects, or creative assignments, can positively affect students' learning activities. (c) Efforts to overcome obstacles include involving class associations, alumni, and companies to help implement an activity, providing training to teachers to better understand differentiated teaching strategies, and providing additional time to students who need help. This research is very important for educators and education policymakers to consider the importance of implementing differentiated learning strategies in an effort to improve the quality of education at a higher level. It also highlights the need for teacher training in implementing this approach effectively so that it can provide maximum benefits for all students in the higher grades.
